Thank you so very much for this video! I have been trying to do multi-level lists for such a long time and your instruction finally helped me figure it out!
Great video. I have created my numbered headings. How do I number paragraphs which link to these headings, rather than using outline numbering which I have to restart
Thanks. When I have a lot numbered lists, I used two additional Heading styles. Lets say you have three levels in hyour outline, I use Heading 4 with no number and then Heading 5 that is numbered with one Arabic number (1,2,3...) Heading 4 is always a blank line and is used to restart numbering. Heading 5 is used for any numbered list. I know it sound complicated but it works well and you don't have to constantly restart the list.
If you already used styles, ensure that all headings in level 1 are the same style, all headings in level 2 are in another but also consistently applied style etc. Then link levels with these styles and it should work all the same. The trick is to use consistent styles (no matter how named) and linked them to the appropriate list level. I hope this helps.
Thank you so much for this video! I was under the impression that I knew what I was doing with the Word numbering system until it started misbehaving in one of my thesis chapters, causing crashes at somewhat inconvenient moments... Following this step-by-step seems to have fixed the problem!
Brilliant Agata! If Word presentations could get an Oscar nomination then this would be the one. Getting numbering and paragraphs to work has baffled me for decades. In five minutes you put it right!! Thanks
Thank you so very much for this video. It really helps to be able to see the words in action. This video helped me alot during the last part of my semester.
What's the purpose of clicking the Tab Stops in the checkbox in the "Modify Multilevel List" dialog box? I don't see any difference whether I check it or not. Thanks.
Thank you so much! It's such a simple task, and i needed to browse at least 10 videos to get the right info for multilevel 1.1.1 numbered list. Thanks again.
If only I had watched this video before I thought I could figure it out for myself and hacked my way through multiple documents!!! arghhhhh ... THANKS!!
My instinct would've been to select Define New Multilevel List instead of Define New List Style. Perhaps this is where I've been going wrong? Thank you. Ever so helpful.
Thanks for putting this together, though some audio on Level 3 would be good because it is not clear that you need to select include from level 1 and 2 a the same time.
Very well explained, gonna use this for the rest of my life!
Thanks, that was very good. And you are a very nice looking lady ;-)
Thank you! That was helpful and clear.
Excellent video. Easy-to-follow and understand. Thank you!
Is it possible to type anything before the numbering in numbered list?

How do I apply "MyStyle" in my already formatted (mismatched) documents?

Dear Agata: I would like to know how to change the order of bulleted items, i.e. making item #1 item #4. is there an automatic way to do this?
Very well done. Thank you so much. I hope you get around to posting more educational videos on how to use word docs.
