How I configure my TradingView Chart
มุมมอง 2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
These are indicators that are already a part of Trading View (As far as I can tell). The video is a description for how to configure them to look like my charts that I share from TV.
PART 3
มุมมอง 2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
I talk at more length about how to use the overlay charts, more on time frame continuity, discuss several available products and make some comments about where I am in my process.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but the scan and or Alert would only trigger once the final candle is closed, not at the moment the condition becomes true. So on a daily scan, you would receive your alerts at the end of day? And on an hourly, at the end of the hour, but not at the moment?
Pretty sure that’s right. It’s why I don’t really like scans or watchlists. They alert at set intervals whether condition is true or false, not at the moment when the condition becomes true or false so I kept getting alerts waaaaay late. Try a different service for scans.
@@pelonsax Appreciate your response. BTW, your MTF painted candles script is great. Nice job and a thousand thank yous.
Always a pleasure. I’m glad you found those. They are the most powerful script I’ve made, the one I get the most value out of. Make sure you follow me on twitter and read my pinned tweet.
Why cant I zoom in on the overlay charts?
You should be able to. I am. Not sure what’s going on.
What a great vibe and sound!
You bad ass!!!
I'm just blown away by this. Did you ever get a chance to code the FTFC displays for TOS such as in Tradingview: H, D, W, M, Q, Y that are on the right hand side of the current candle?
There was a label study called Daniel Bones that does that. It should be in the UTS thread
I think I'm having the same issue on how to load it again after closing - I have tried all names, daniel bones, not sure how to load it again

THis is amazing, thanks Pelonsax - TOS and Schwab finally came to the UK so I can catch on all that you've done buddy
Thank you! That was a big deal to write. I appreciate it.
My pleasure brother
Thank you for this!!! The issue I am having is that when there is continuity... It is coloring the entire screen, not the time bubbles... All of my time bubbles are white. Can't seem to find a setting to change this
Get rid of that one. Use the ones I just posted today, the candle paint studies. They’re on that use thinkscript page
is there a way you can share those slides with us
Email me pelonsax@hotmail.com
Thanks man I will email you
Got it. I’ll send it when I have a chance to get on my Mac. Watch this too bro. I’ll send the PPP as well. vimeo.com/707341972

great work, i don't think a lot of ppl that use the strat is aware of this wwatchlist
Thank you so much!
How to increase the number size of the 1,2,3's with your Strat Number Bars 2.0?
How has it be going with your trades using the strat. 2022 was a brutal yr
Thank you sir! Much appreciated!
My pleasure. Let me know if you have any questions
What’s the strat discord room?
awesome video! thanks
Glad you liked it! Thanks!
This is so good! Wow!
Thank you for taking the time and effort to put this videos together sir, I really appreciate it. Blessings 🙏🏼
Hi! Great videos! I would like to know if you or someone could make a video how to use the Strat for swings, I can’t DayTrade for work reasons. Thank you in advance.
Treat swings like any other trade. You have to understand when range is expanding in the direction you want to go and understand time frame continuity. Can you honestly say there’s a lot of good long swings in this market though? Be very selective and nimble. Don’t get greedy. Plan each trade based on quantitative information and stick to the plan. Every trade has a contingency plan. What will I do if the trade goes this way, what will I do if it goes that way, what will I do if it goes sideways. Start each plan with a determination of size based on risk so that you don’t get overly emotional no matter what happens.
@@pelonsax thanks a lot for taking the time to reply sir, I’m watching the second part of the beginners now, I’m taking notes of the time frame continuity before I take a note Trade but I realize last night that you spoke about the amount of time on you chart, I was using 6 month data 😅 but if I see green across the board I think should be on my side, but the market right now it’s crazy 😅😅 anyways, thank you 🙏🏼

I'm very intrigued. Any beginner videos that can explain what you mean when you say things like "2 up, 1 down?"
Yes, on my channel look for the videos with Tutorial part 1 through 4 in the titles.
Thank you for your great contributions in making THESTRAT digestible, from Rob's principles to your visualization.
I'm trying to load the scans and I keep receiving an error. Are there new links?
Hi there! Great idea. When I look at some charts in extended hours the 10 min candles are above the weekly and daily overlays but on rth they are true....check out TSLA on July 22, and SPY July 18-22...I have the timeframe not auto locked to chart (an option there is now that was not on your video, but this is a year later...) Any ideas? Thanks!
Have you tried the ones I put together for TOS? I use them with extended hours on. They work great.
and on rth, gaps are more apparent. So there's a plus lol
just amazing
What is this chart telling you?
Strat scenarios on higher time frames and time frame continuity (color of overlays)
@@pelonsax thank you I am a newbie to using the strat and struggle with entries and exits so hopefully this will help
Thank you! This is a great explanation of those FTFC overlays! Amazing.
This is helpful. Thanks!
Awesome info. I've picked up so much from your videos, I wanted to say Thank You! Smashed the like button!
Awesome brother. Thank you. I’m glad that I could help. Hit me up if you have questions.
When looking at the momo hammer actionable signal what time frame is that ?
I’m not sure man, probably the five but it works best on higher time frames like 60 and up. Actionable doesn’t mean fool-proof. It’s a clue. Be a detective. Use volume and any other tool in your arsenal.
@@pelonsax of course it’s one of many factors just wanted to know what time frame that’s all.
@@dice8907 the idea can be applied to any time frame. The key is, the time frame will determine how long it will take to form trigger and work or not work.
Once I've opened it once how do I go back to this study to open it the next time?
You have to save the flex grid and open it at the top right box. You can also save the individual studies or study sets
Great explanation - thanks for sharing
Just started to learn about writing scripts for charts in traderview. How would I find yours
Which formation do you like the most and on which time frame?
Wonderful explanation. Where can i get these scripts?
usethinkscript.com/threads/rob-smiths-the-strat-indicator-for-thinkorswim.3312/
Thanks!
I saw arturo discussing this in his Benzinga video, thanks for expanding on that idea. I was wondering, are the opening prices also targets in the Strat?
Good Stuff, Thanks Much.
27:16 the draw of a compounded bar = 3 bar or mother bar - the bars on the (my) left side - isn't that what Rob calls OUTSIDE bars of that 3 bar range? After the compounded 3 bar - the (my) right side - makes the INSIDE bar range of 3 compounded bar = 1?
the hourly opens are nice to scalp, I usually refined the hourly in discount premium areas and get good 1-2 hour scalps, am still working on the strategy
Opens generally have the most range for sure. Good place to scalp if you know what you’re doing!
@@pelonsax am getting better. I know see the 4hr flip and the exact moment everybody gets trap. The market is trapping volume
Great explanation Pelonsax!. Can you share the download link for this strategy? I have studies but not the blue line and I would like to have all the strategy with the study in a single link. Thanks in advance and Great work again!
It is included in the overlay charts. The strategy study is the exact same study as the line study that draws the horizontal cyan and magenta lines.
Great video as always. When does the quarter and year decouple? Was hoping to get some information on that since a new quarter starts soon.
The first time there is a different open price on the smaller time frame. So the April 1st open price will decouple the quarter from the year. After market close on April 1st is the first time a difference can be noticed. Ex. The year opens at $100 which is also the open of the quarter. On April 1st the open price that day is $90. Now that is the new open price for the quarter which is different from the year open price. So if the closing price on April 1st is $91, the quarter will be green but the year will red. Hope that helps!. :)
@@Me-dv3jh that is exactly what I needed, thank you!
@@brown_stratking8340 Glad that helped. One slight correction. It doesn't have to be after market close to see one green and one red. Any price change after the open can do that. That's how it works on all time frames.
So happy to see you making videos again! Also happy to see Dede back in the game too. It's like Christmas!!!
😃 thank you!
Thanks Ramon! Awesome stuff as always
That's excellent. Thank you!
Just seen this, Interesting and excellent. One point to the latter part of the video in the examples You are drawing broadening formations NOT OFF candles 3 I thought it was a candle 3 that provided a broadening Formation. Or have I misunderstood
A 3 candle on one time frame is a broadening formation on the lower time frames
@@pelonsax Yes I get that but you are not drawing a broadening formation off a candle 3..... this was towards the end of the video when u were starting off from the Yearly TF
@@noelborg2499 true but what I mean by that is that I use high to a higher high and low to a lower low the way I explain in episode 34 of the weekend shift here: sepiagroup.com/strat-videos/the-weekend-shift-videos/
