In the ominous days following 9/11/2001, a group of Los Angeles religious leaders came together to seek an alternative to the fear-mongering and vengefulness sweeping much of our nation. ICUJP believes “Religious Communities Must Stop Blessing War and Violence.” All of our peace workers are committed to four core ICUJP principles:
the power of love to overcome hatred;
the power of mercy to conquer vengeance;
the celebration of our common humanity and the sacredness of human life;
and our calling to build a just, equitable, and peaceful world.

01.24.25 - The Threshold of Dissent: American Jews, Israel/Palestine, and Coalitions for Justice
Drawing from her recent book, "The Threshold of Dissent", Marjorie Feld will position contemporary American Jewish critics of Israel within a century-long debate over Jewish safety and belonging. She will trace the profound implications of this debate for inclusion in American Jewish life and for American Jewish participation in coalitions for justice.
Marjorie N. Feld is Professor of History at Babson College in Massachusetts where she teaches courses on US social history, gender, labor, and food justice. She is on the Academic Advisory Council of Jewish Voice for Peace. Her third book, "The Threshold of Dissent: A History of American Jewish Critics of Zionism", was named one of National Public Radio’s “Books We Love” for 2024.

Poem by Ipyani Lockert, "Changing World"
Abilities taken for granted
Freedoms turn into restrictions
Independence turns into dependency
Alone one cannot survive
A time running through the meadows
Unhindered and unburden
Unaware of what was to come
Alone one cannot survive
Activities and play
Becomes stagnation and lifelessness
Frozen in stasis locked within tomb
Alone one cannot survive
To grasp the rose inhaling its essence
The fragrance of life within bloom
Now witnessed from windows in rooms that have now become prisons
Alone one cannot survive
Overwhelming are the stark shifts of a changing world
Tormented mind attached to unresponsive instruments
The music plays no more
Alone one cannot survive
Yet a light is raising
Upon unseen horizons
Glory is on its way
Together we flourish
Depression's sorrow receding
Death's bleak hold weakening
Oblivion transforming into paradise
Together we flourish
Squalor fading to decadence
Lesser than ascending to greater than
Loathing revealing gratefulness
Together we flourish
Mind once clothed in darkness now luminous with radiant thought
Broken spirit renewed to absolute soul
Melancholy shifts to elation
Together we flourish
Alone one cannot survive
Together we flourish
We must do so
One mind
One body
One soul
One humanity
Within this ever changing world

Every time I see anti Zionist Jew o feel more hopeful
the muslims have a saying, 'everything changes except god'.
The Palestinians are semites. The Israelis are shockingly antisemitic.
If all Jews do not wake up and openly protest against with all of their power against zionist demons creating hell on earth for their lord satan. . . . . . . . then satan will succeed in genociding the original Jew race from the face of the earth. Christianity exists because both islam and jewdizm are BOTH CULTS OF SATAN WORSHIP.

I also think that the ADL's defense of Elon Musk proves that antisemitism has NOTHING to do with ones attitude toward Jews and everything to do with one's stance on Israel.
I heard someone ask if everything was perfect with Palestinians, would you still oppose Zionism? So I started to think that maybe there is a difference between anti-zionism and wanting justice for everyone
Modern day jews have nearly 0001% middle eastern DNA, Even if they did the ancient jews or Hebrews stole the land then as the fake jews have done in 1948. 😂
Never in history was palestinian poeple or nation called palestine. Enough hasberra copy and paste comments. The world is bored of it. I recommend the documentary by Israeli film maker, Alon Schwartz, Tantura. Watch that and then we can have a civil discussion. I will also say, for a people and a place that doesn’t exist, it’s a little strange of how the world knows us and talks about us every day.
@@גלעדמסר-נ7ז is that why Golda Meir said she had a Palestinian passport from 1921-1948 👀
Shut. Up. Hasbara. Moron.
What an ignorant, propagandist comment. Go back to Poland, Ukraine, or wherever you Ashkenazi are from.
Whatever the land was called is of secondary importance. Religion, politics and oral histories will tell you different stories. What does matter is that there were people there, real people, and they have been there for generations - including Arabs and Jews. They did not just appear out of nowhere and neither were they recent arrivals from another continent. Does it matter if these people were called Canaanites or Palestinians?

😊Dear Los Angeles Police Department Why do I feel that the United States Department of Homeland Security is dysfunctional? Why do I feel that today when I went out to do my shopping, at Ralph's Market. There was a contemptable Homeland Security scheme going on and I had no choice as a decent person, but to ditch the bus and turn around and go the other way? Why do I get the impression that the US Department of Homeland Security is engaged in a betrayal against domestic security? It is my impression after my experience today, to consider the probability that something is quite wrong with the US Department of Homeland Security and that on January 6th 2024 that it was the US Department of Homeland Security that was dysfunctional. And that the US Department of Homeland Security dysfunctional scheme spread throughout the Department of Justice on that ill-fated day so that all of the Federal Officers sworn to defend the United States were derelict and failed in their duty to surround the White House and create a buffer zone ? I felt today that I was being usurped by Homeland Security as soon as I got on the #81 Metro bus? I ditched the bus the moment I noticed that people seemed to be in a hallucinating trance state of mind. And scheme seemed to include domination and control. Why was there a squad of women down in the lobby when I was leaving the building. I have absolutely nothing in common with theses women at all here. Nothing in common and cognitively we are in entirely different worlds, and I certainly don't want theirs. I honestly have not the slightest clue as to what is the attraction. Why am I an attraction? I am just a little with my little shopping cart going to market to get a few groceries. Why should that be an attraction for the US Department of Homeland Security? Why is it that the people or organizations which seem to me to be doing wrong, were the ones who fifty years ago, the people , agencies and organizations which did right? This is a paradox. Homeland Security seems to be the Dysfunctional United Department of Homeland Security. Why doesn't the US Dysfunctional Department of Homeland Security find it necessary to shut down the elevator in our apartment, or cast bed bugs and roaches into the apartments, under color of law, and stealth, and clandestine, covert, domestic sabotage and vandalism? The US Department of Homeland Security must be insane. Why does the Dysfunctional United States Department of Homeland Security constantly have the emergency vehicles just blaring their sirens just to disturb the peace and tranquility? I figured it out today all by myself. It doesn't take a rocket 🚀 scientist from JPL in Pasadena to recognize that Tha US Department of Homeland is a very perverse and reprobate, depraved, deviant, and hallucinogenic ideal of public administration. Any woman, that is any sensible woman, any woman with scruples and principles about herself and about her womanhood, would be scandalized and shocked and distressed, and dismayed 😦 😳 😲 😳 😱 at the strategy which that female squad of Homeland Security Agents were carrying out today. I didn't find it amusing at all. The US Department of Homeland Security Agents must be using dope or narcotics, which numbs their morals, their ethics, their principles, their scruples. The whole disgusting and depraved mess caused me to have ditch the bus and walk back several long blocks with my empty shopping cart in tow. I did manage to complete my shopping. I barely got back home before dark. What are these unwomanly women? Cognitively we are nothing alike, worlds apart. I wouldn't be like them for anything in this world. They have their job to do, but I don't understand why their jobs should have anything to do 😕 😔 with me, going to the supermarket? I don't need a squad of women to go grocery shopping. I think that there is something profoundly spooked and profoundly wicked about this, and profoundly evil about the Dysfunctional United States Department of Homeland Security, meddling civilians, and somehow deliberately trying to corrupt our legitimate ordinary lives. It's appalling. I am sure that there must be a vast difference among the lifestyles of quasi military and functionally military women's duties and obligations and liabilities. I really don't need to know and I don't want to know all of the lurid details of their lives. I am sure that their superiors are very proud of them for their accomplishments in their specific roles. And I do wish them well in the success of the important skilled services, and their valuable experience is indispensable the work of their military 🪖 I and quasi-military jobs. They should know that they are valued and respected. Nevertheless, I prefer to remain aloof from the squads of women. If viewed the films 🎥 "GI Jane" and "The Children's Hour" you can't possible imagine how terrifying it is for a woman of archaic, old fashioned, dyed-in-the-wool, specific traditional-gender values, feel utterly oppresses, trapped among the new generations gender diversity and discrepancy, gender uncertainty organizations. I really can't think of anything that I am more "touchy" about or frightened of actually. Which is the very reason why I stay to myself. Deputy Sheriff Kennedy was the first person to point this out to me. That I really avoid people like the plague except for my family, my relatives. I am not in the market or on the market, I am not hunting, but I get the impression that I am being hunted continuously, by people with whom I have nothing in common at all. So, I was very curious with the US Dysfunctional Department of Homeland Security for directing a stigmatized operation targeting me, for slander. For all these reasons, I feel that the US Department of Homeland Security powers should be attenuated. I feel that their motives were ultimately wicked, deliberately wicked and depraved. It was alarmed. Really very alarmed 😧 😳 at the attempt of the US Department of Homeland Security Agents to confound the truth with lies. Shame on them. Sincerely Me Yahoo Mail: Search, Organize, Conquer
A powerful, moving song, and Mr. Chen and Mr. Matsuno render the music with much skill and feeling. But is this really a hopeful song? Am I the only one for whom it's a bitter song about the contemptuous fortunate sneering at the unfortunate and oppressed?

Can't make war invisible without the full cooperation of the fake news networks with their reports subject to CIA approval..How to solve the problem of learning the truth? TH-cam goes a long way .But even here, censorship, necessitated by "national security", increasingly sacrifices those who defy it. Maybe it's just allowing the legacy media to die off.
