This time we will tour the Danjiri Festival, a festival held in September and October in the city of Kishiwada, located in the southern part of Osaka Prefecture.
Originally, the Danjiri Matsuri was a festival held to pray for a good harvest of crops.
At the Danjiri Festival, men pull a large float called a “danjiri” through the streets of Kishiwada.
