Gullane’s three courses nestle into the surrounding linksland, bordered by dramatic dunes, seaside walkways and the neighbouring Aberlady Nature Reserve. Golf has been played on these links for more than 350 years and the natural evolution of the courses has been sympathetic with the local environment, with an array of birds and wildlife sharing the land with golfers
The unique elevation changes on all three courses offer breathtaking views across the linksland and beyond to the Firth of Forth, while several tees run close to the cliff top trails enjoyed by walkers, eagerly enjoying the splendour in the adjacent beaches and grasslands, while stopping to admire a sweetly struck drive or a meandering putt holed.
Our links is at one with nature, and the sight of a herd of deer wandering across the fairways and into the whispy rough is a common one, while the changing seasons giving way to an array of different colours throughout the year, featuring summer wildflowers, yellow gorse in the spring through to the beautiful autumnal leaves.
Such is the quality of Gullane’s turf that has been shaped by the linksland’s microclimate , you will find the courses in fabulous condition all year round, with greens that roll as smoothly on a blustery February morning as they do on a beautiful late summer’s evening.
