As a Leeds lad and LUFC supporter I’ve always admired Newcastle not just as a football club but as a city of wonderful people. It’s good to see the Toon in bloom again and back playing European football and I’d say it looks like Sam Fender is now a ‘local hero’

There has been a lot of talk about the partisan NUFC links throughout the gig (what did people realistically expect from a lad from North Shields living his and millions of others' dreams?) but this all detracts from two things: The absolute brilliance of Sam Fender and the utter technical mastery of this guitar solo. Poignant class as always from Brian. Absolutely exceptional. Bravo.
