    This will help me a lot, so thank you. I’m trying to crochet my boyfriend a doll. And this helps a lot with the head. You’re literally the first video I found that actually explain explained how to correctly do this. I’m extremely thankful for that because I needed help. I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to making these. I’ve been crocheting a lot so that’s not the problem. It’s that nobody fully explains how the circles work and when they do, they don’t explain how not to make them curl and you do and you’re amazing. ❤️

    How do i know how many decreases i want? For example, i currently have 56 stitches in a round and i want to decrease it to 50 stitches. How do i calculate that?

    • @thepudgyrabbit
      @thepudgyrabbit หลายเดือนก่อน

      If the number of decreases doesn't divide evenly, I would round down and add the extra stitches onto the end of the round. So for your example, 56/6 =9.33, I would round down to 9. 9 - 2 = 7, so you would *sc 7, dec 1* rep 6 times. Since you have two stitches left over, you could add them at the end of the round or you could *sc 8, dec 1* twice.

    Should i decrease all the row along?

    • @thepudgyrabbit
      @thepudgyrabbit 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would start with a few decreases per row. For example, if your round has 20 stitches, you could decrease it by 5, so you would *sc 2, dec 1* and repeat that set 5 times. Decreasing along the entire row may cause your round to wrinkle.

    heyyy i followed this, it was so easy and simple. just one question, when i crotchet squares or circles or anything, they dont lie flat i.e the overall product is very wavy, if it was on a flat surface parts of it would be above the surface and parts would lie down only, any help for this?

    • @thepudgyrabbit
      @thepudgyrabbit 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial! There could be a few reasons for your crochet being wavy. I would check your tension, stitches that are too tight or loose can cause the curling. If your stitches are tight, can try a larger hook and if they're too loose, a smaller hook. I would also check your stitch count, too many stitches in a round or increasing too quickly can result in the waviness. Hope this helps!

    How do u now you want to increase 6 stitches though?

    • @thepudgyrabbit
      @thepudgyrabbit 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on your design and how fast you want your piece to grow in size. I usually pick a number of increases that can divide evenly into the round. So if my round has 18 stitches and I want it grow gradually, I could increase by 3 stitches instead of 6. Or if I want to grow the round quickly, then I could increase it by 9 stitches.
