Birdblocking

Before we get to the fun renovations, we had to do a bit of birdblocking around the unfinished side of the barn to make sure we can properly insulate our master bedroom and bathroom!

    When it rains, how do you avoid water coming from the floor?

      This tent is enclosed on the bottom as well so rain is not a problem!

    Nicely done and very inspiring, thanks for sharing. Would you also share where to find such a large tent material? Did you sew it from pieces? What about water proofing? Thank you

      We bought it from Craigslist - it's a Montana wedge tent :) very sturdy and waterproof, contained on all sides.

    I love the wood floors. How does the tent keep out critters though on the edges of it

    Hi, love the set-up. Did you use the metal poles (that came with the tent) inside the tent or is the nice wooden 4x4 inside the tent holding it??

    • @Pricklymesa
      @Pricklymesa ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! :) We used a 2x3 ridge pole, not the metal poles- for stability to hold up the fly, and two 4x4s at the front and back.

      It's a 10x12 Montana canvas tent :) Found on used on craigslist. A year and a record-breaking winter later, it's still holding up well! We had to push snow off it though of course.

    Very well done! Do you remove the tent in the off-season? I was just wondering how you winterize the flooring inside the tent.

      thank you! We don't use it in the off-season but we do brush the snow off so the weight doesn't collapse the structure!

    Everything was done very well, according to the book. The foundation deserves a more upscale glamping tent.

      Thank you! We just made do with a used tent we found on craigslist so this whole project was made from recycled materials for the most part, which we love.
