Watched the entire video and most of the reasons are due to poor adaptability of people. You really don’t need a car if you’ve a great public transport. I’ve been living for 8 Years in HK and It’s the same here. Never owned a car, never felt the need too. Supermarkets are close-by and you don’t need to buy in bulk. Issue of Higher Rent/Deposits is there in Indian cities of Mumbai Bangalore too.

after having lived in the US, none of this is shocking or concerning, i guess its just a part of living in a country that cares about its citizens and has public infra
