Ahhh my head hurts 🤣

I just started playing the Sims 3(with all DLC), and I can easily say...this game feels far more alive than the Sims 4. The simsies feel like actual people compared to the Sims 4. I also got scared of burglars robbing me, and that's exactly what happened seconds before I closed the game. You don't know what to expect with Sims 3, that's what makes it so wonderful 👍🌹

I know this was posted a while ago now but trying your steps and initially it helped me to match my GPU, but I’m so confused now - it’s given my GPU a 1 rating on device config but I have a GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU… surely it’s better than a 1 😂🙈? So now I can’t do the rest of the steps.. would you know about that? @AlpaCakeGames Also I have 12GB of ram, your video never mentioned what I should put for texture memory and can’t seem to find that anywhere?? Any help would be appreciated 😊

Also, you can try this: Go to Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Game > Bin and open GraphicRules.sgr. Use CTRL + F and search for ShadowMapSize. Under ”setting $High”, change the ”prop $ConfigGroup ShadowMapSize 1024” value to ”prop $ConfigGroup ShadowMapSize 3840” if you want 4K shadows or ”prop $ConfigGroup ShadowMapSize 7680” if you want 8K shadows.

I wouldn't say this is a "Complete Guide", you're not explaining what each setting of Nraas Story Progression is. You're only showing what your settings are, telling us to pretty much set our settings to your preferences, to "trust you", then cursing all throughout the video 😂

I did all of this, but the game is still lagging just as much as before. Doesn't make any sense, I'm on a really high-end PC, but it just seems like nothing I installed works.

The NRaas Story Progression mod for The Sims 3 is reviving Sims from the cemetery. What can I do to prevent this from happening?

So after doing all of that when I re-open the DeviceConfig.log now for reasons I can't fathom it literally only has 2 lines of text in it that say Options and Default Options below that. I didn't edit this at all to be that way so what the hell even gives? This whole thing is massively hard to follow but if you do it to the letter with your own graphics info it just turns into this apparently which really just pisses me off because nobody should need to be doing this with such an old game.

When I port families separately they will syill remain related? Like... how many sims are too much? When i have 4 households with each 8 sims... will the portet handle this? Plus dead ones??

I recently started to play The Sims Medieval and was having the same issue, so I manually added my graphic card on the GraphicCard.sgr file (it's a NVIDIA GTX 1660 and yes, I added it on the Nvidia section of the list and added the chipset number too) and the DeviceConfig.log says "[Found: 1, Matched: 0]", so I don't know how to make it match. Can anyone help me please?

I had this mod on the sims 3 on my old computer now I have a new one and it’s not like I remember none of the townies r having babies what did I do wrong?

If you lower you "House/Lot Details" from 8 to 1, you're game will be run better. :D

For those with the latest gpu just down load the The Sims 3 GPU Add-on Support from nexus mod makes it alot easier.

sims 4 coding is atrocious compared to sims 3. their AI is also stupid if you compare it to 3.

Yeah, I just installed the game for some nostalgia and I used AMD to see what my FPS was at..... 2158 FPS..... So yea, the limiting FPS thing is needed XD

Oh thank god no more build mode lag spikes anyways the map went to white except the location icon but going back to household Its normal. But I don't mind nor do I care As long as the lag spikes are gone I'm good for now.

Anyone have issues when matching CPU? It makes my settings get stuck and won't change unless I put it back. Unsure how to fix it.

Do both files have to be saved in the bin?? Like my computer won’t let me save it in that location for some reason it’s saying I don’t have permission and to save in documents instead😵‍💫

i thought limiting fps meant setting the game to only 60fps
