Onslaught // Eurorack
Just as we thought we safely made it, all hell broke loose. It is no longer a skirmish, the valley has been overrun. Deafened by the war drums, we desperately try to find our way out of this mess...

Prelude // Eurorack
มุมมอง 13614 วันที่ผ่านมา
Our fears came true. There is no Shangri-la on the other side of the mountain passage. Not any more... Once a paradise, the valley now echoes with the sounds of a distant skirmish. Can we sneak past it unnoticed? #eurorack #soundscape #modularsynth #cinematicmusic
Shangri-la // Eurorack
มุมมอง 106หลายเดือนก่อน
Next part of our journey leads through the exposed mountainside, all the way up to a narrow, misty pass. The sunny forest clearing is now just a distant memory, and the higher we climb, the more we fear it is not the Shangri-la on the other side of the pass... #eurorack #modularsynth #soundscape #ambient

Into the forest no.1 // Eurorack
มุมมอง 373 หลายเดือนก่อน
We wake up in a dark forest. We don't know where we are, we don't know why we're here. The only path leads deeper into the forest. Our journey begins. #eurorack #modularsynth #soundscape #ambient

Something dark is not coming, something dark is already here. It hasn't noticed us just yet, but the only way out is through it's lair... #eurorack #modularsynth #soundscape #ambient #darkambient
Behringer 173 as granular processor
มุมมอง 1434 หลายเดือนก่อน
Inspired by Klavis Grainity, this time 173 acts as granular processor with four audio splices - lowpass filter, high pass filter, flanger and phaser. Audio pulled directly from the rack.

Ah! Those buzzy droney sweeps are gloriously unsettling. Assault from above. Nicely done!

@@dubsboxalgo I hoped you'll like it :) When I worked on this patch, when the first of the screetching/laughing sweeps happened after adding another layer of modulation it literally jump scared me :D

@@PrettyRandomNoises LOL! I've had so many nights where I've thrown the headphones off and looked around frantically because the frequencies and modulations combined just right and I thought I heard voices/whispers. Yeah, this stuff gets spooky at times.

@@dubsboxalgo :D I had a strange case lately, when frequency and envelope of one layer aligned perfectly with resonant frequency/distance to the window, so this one particular voice appeared as coming from the window instead of the speaker. It took me a while to get my head around what was happening and that it was not something strange happening outside :D

As we proceeded along, the sounds of what we thought to be a skirmish never got louder. There was just a din fading in and out of our perception as we moved forward. Ill-defined, the sounds nevertheless occupied our attention and kept us on edge. Expecting to see signs of some struggle or battle, our eyes glanced over a desolate landscape with no signs of anyone or anything having been there for some time...or...ever. Thank you for this. It was wonderful to listen to...twice.

@@dubsboxalgo Thank you for this vision! However, I fear that this feeling of uneasy serenity is premature. It is called "The prelude" for a reason. But enough spoilers! The second part is coming :)

@@PrettyRandomNoises I listened to the entire track. I have a couple people who are not producing pro recordings all the time, yet, they are generating interesting ideas. so I keep checking back and listen. My videos might get a hundred listens. Oh well. I am having fun.

@@griffithmorgan4966 Oh, I know there is some good modular music out there by "not professionals". I found your compliment funny because not so long ago I gave a similar one and it was met with the same kind of surprised reception :D Again, thanks for listening to the very end!

@@PrettyRandomNoises I'm a film maker. I work with trained composers. The difference between a professionally mixed and mastered recording is pretty astounding. But, it's not always better. Even my sound expert friends like to see what people like us are doing to kind of keep in touch with the underground. There is a guy on here, I think his handle is Bata. I really like his song intros and am a bit meh over his songs. But I always go listen to his latest noise sections. We're all exploring this stuff.
