Filmed at 615VGS Kenley in the early 70's while the T53 was on trial. Made by the COI and played on BBC as an "interlude".

Based at Royal Air Force Kenley, the famous World War II Battle of Britain airfield, 615 VGS is tasked by Headquarters Air Cadets to provide gliding training for Air Cadets from across the London and South East Region as well as Combined Cadet Force (RAF) Units.
615 VGS Portmoak Detachment

The Portmoak detachment occurs each year during the summer months, at the Scottish Gliding Union site at just north of Edinburgh. The detachment gives junior the staff members the opportunity to complete AGT 2 and learn how to soar using ridge and wave lift.
everytime I hear the Beatles track "flying" I instantly think of when it was used for 70's RAF public information films that were shown as the first programme of the day (approx 9:20am) on ITV - thanks for uploading 😲
I was there, standing on a wing tip. I and the other two couldn't be in close view because we had our wings. Lots of familiar faces. The air to air was shot from the last Sycamore in the RAF on it's last job. It flew from Kenley to Northolt, never flew again.
