Don’t rush yourself into a lease brotha, not questioning your intelligence or ability in running a business I would just take a couple years to really learn the markets and the freight/ lanes… just remember when leasing keeping that business comes first over any social life or relationships so on u gotta do whatever to keep that business afloat
Bro don’t lease it’s not worth it right now man. If you got a family just be company until it gets better out here.
I used to live in Lynchburg. I ran dedicated out of there for 8 months and was making good money
@@jarrod7286 so you was hauling these pipes all day long?
@ Absolutely I was with Red Mountain transportation which at the time was under P&S. I would haul a load up into the Northeast and then come back empty. I was making 1600-2000 a week
Stay safe 🙏👍🙏🙏❤️. Dad
Will do dad
It is not paying well , Don't haul it
@@JodyHall-g3f good to knkw
How much can u make a year doing 5 on 5 off
Idk if that’s an option
@@TruckerGee92 1 Kenly is a great truck stop u can always find a parking spot in my experience, idk what terminal you’re out of but I was out of Jersey live in ct but living in ct I couldn’t stay everytime I went home I would deliver my Monday load first thing in the morning and be told there’s no freight in New England my final straw was sitting two full days in Maine waiting for a load, but it seems like u like it and it’s working for u u seem to be doing ok stick with it happy for u
@@TruckerGee92 i think I commented my original comment on the wrong reel I watched one the guy said he worked 5 days on the road then goes home 5 days
Yooooo im just got out of school in November trying to get a local job and can't do it.
@@NCMATT you need experience brotha
@TruckerGee92 I know I don't think I'll ever get any experience driving I'm not going OTR
Last time I was there the free food was some of the best bbq I have ever had. Stay safe driver
U gonna go to a lot of places like that and yeah the way they loaded it was strange but it’s all good
@@Kinggary1232 yeah I figured that tbh
If you understand then shut your lights off. No we dont know whatbit is
Lmaooooo the lights didn’t stay on. Comon man it was just on in the video
What are your checks like from orientation to when you get on the road
@@yvngosom1916 500 for 2 weeks when you’re in orientation and 500 when you’re with trainer for the next 3 weeks. Not a lot but it’s something I guess
Stay Safe Driver. Keep making P&S some money lol. I’ve been here almost 5 yrs.
Do you own your own truck?
@ no sir. I’m a company man
@ so are you against owning your own truck from p&s? If so why?
@ nah ain’t against it. Just tried lease purchase with another company and failed big time. No good loads Low checks big payments zero money in wallet lol
@ thanks for telling me that. I wanted to try and still might. Dam so being company might just be better tbh
Long story short dont trust that mf
What’s the Orientation pay now? And the pay when you get with trainer
@@yvngosom1916 you’re going to be 1 week in the hole. So your first week of orientation you won’t get paid but the 2-6week you’ll get 500 but it’s taxed.
When do they hire you during the same week or after the whole 6 weeks for new drivers
@@yvngosom1916 when you pass all the test required to be hired. They will let you know. It’s not within the 1 week though some people will leave and some will be released
What were the test on and where they long?
@yvngosom1916 it wasn't long but way to much to list all. It's basic stuff you're going to learn in trucking plus safety stuff. It's all going to be learned while in orientation
What is installation? You mean insulation dummy?
@@Munit.96 ain’t no way you a grown man calling someone a dummy what kinda of insult is that lol
Nonsense bro but recording Mr rookie and don’t hit nothing..
Did you use a 90 to get in the spot?
@@WillWay-39 you can’t use a 90 with a flatbed fully loaded.
I’m the video you didn’t mention what trailer was being hauled at all. You just talked about how you were complimented that was it. But thanks though
@@WillWay-39 you’re right. I didn’t state what kind of trailer was being used or what was being hauled on it. I was hauling steel beams on a 48 foot flatbed 10 foot spread axle. Thanks for asking for more info instead of just calling me some name like some of the comments.
@ naw bro I’m a new driver in the industry. I honestly listened to what you said and was curious about how you did it because I need work on the 45 and 90. I’m not here to bash or hate on anyone I’m here for help honestly. Thanks for letting me know!
Some people shouldn’t breed .
Do P&S have driver facing cameras? I start next week 😮💨
@@demetriusking4098 they do but it doesn’t record least that’s what they say
They are goin away from the inward facing cameras from what I was told
I’m happy you keep your window clean. I hate watching trucking videos and they have a lot of shit and bug guts on the window. I’m trying watch out the window.

can you drop a video on the pay ?

@@Kinggary1232 so you’re with p&s too?
@@TruckerGee92yep I was in their flatbed 101 in August 2023 so I’m familiar with the freight u haul and it never pays well especially insulation
@ I feel that, I’m trying to learn all I can at the moment. I do get some decent loads when its like 800 plus miles but at times that isn’t worth either

@@RogerThornton-y5o thanks at least someone gets it
@ yes I should I been in the game for 38+ yesrs , safety is no accident
Keep some dielectric grease on you and fold a piece of paper a few times and put it under the pigtail to keep it tight. Works 99 times out of 100. I just got my first load since Monday last night. Got stuck in Milton, FL where we broke the snow record so I could even leave until they opened the roads back up on Friday. I don’t know why people were trying to drive knowing Florida doesn’t have the resources for snow.
@@SlothyTendecies people just try to get out but what we all need to do is remember to stay on top of what the weather is going to be like. Our DM need to also think and plan for the drivers cause don’t no one and I mean no one want to be stuck in the snow cold with no where to go or extra food
I’m so glad that I worked for a private company. I was the only Driver and made Salary! Drove only 1 to 4 days a week. Oh, I had those jobs before I stumbled into the job I retired from. Don’t miss it.
You had the paper work in your hand when u pick it up right. U must. Take things in your own hands. Call them as soon as u leave an keep calling them til u get the boss. That way ur not waiting
@@ChiggerShepherd thanks for the advice

@@TruckerGee92 Hi i'm back just thought of a tip for backing up .put your hand on the bottom of the steering wheel now as you back up to turn to the left you move your hand to the left ,to go to the right move your hand to the right .
@ thanks for that advice appreciate it. Also I do want to state that this is a 48 foot 10 foot spread axel flatbed trailer. Not saying it’s any difference in turning but I know you can’t cut these as hard as tandem trailers
@@TruckerGee92 My first truck and trailer were both custom .A cabover with a 30 foot deck stinger 5th wheel and a 40 foot trailer open frame and a 2 foot tall open deck two axle . I hauled boats that set up was 75 feet long and when you hade a 42 foot sailboat 12 feet wide and the mast was another 10 to 15 feet long past the end of the trailer .Well you can imagine How fun it was just to get into a truck stop .🤣👍

Construction site probably had no clue you were coming unless you called 24 hours in advance
@@GuidoSarducci-n8v even if I would have did that it wouldn’t have matter. Dude said it wasn’t suppose to be at the site till next week. Idk why they shipped it out
Any time you deliver to a construction site or job site get a site contact number and call them the same day you load especially if it’s on a Friday.
