Glad channels like this exist. I have NEVER had the same addiction and fun that I got when I played MGO1, MPO and MGO2. I play Warzone right now and it’s just trash. The cheaters and the skill based match making system makes it hard for anyone to enjoy after working a 9-5. And of course MGO3 wasn’t mentioned because they tried too hard to cater to the Call of Duty audience instead of the seasoned MGO players.

The game is so much fun and on top of that the ranking system made it addicting. You dont just play long hours to level up, you actually had to earn the ranks.

I love MGO2 ive loved it since 08 and im so happy to be playing it again in 2024

I believe this game is gonna succeed and revive the franchise. I was unhappy about Konami letting Kojima go to, but thats in the past. its time to let go and move forward. look for something positive to find not something negative!

Thank you for this video. Metal Gear Delta has revived my interest in the Metal Gear series. I have always been a die-hard fan, and played MGO1 2 and 3. I definitely agree that MGO2 was the absolute best and am pleasantly surprised to see that SaveMGO did more than just revive the game, but added new content. With that in mind, I must ask. How does SaveMGO stay afloat to maintain these servers. Is there a subscription or do they ask for donations?

Got MGO2 working on my PC the other day. Been having such a blast. I can’t believe how much I retained from the game despite not playing it for 15 years.

Day 1 MGO2 player here. So happy it’s much easier to play the revival now. Setting it up on PS3 was a huge barrier for a lot of people. The PC setup is amazing. Hopefully we can keep it alive for years to come.

Rumor has it with the remake of 3 - MGO may return with some original staffers of MGO and MGO2. Recently addressed in one of their videos.

I've been playing it on and off since it came out on PS3, the OG one and the SaveMGO one, when they ported it over to PC I've intruduced so many friends to it, but like you said the skill level meant me destroying them even if I didn't mean to and I tried teaching them, I hope that videos like this make a ton of people join us!

Yeah, whenever I hear randomized levels or procedurally generated, what I really hear is "Instead of professional game designers, painstakingly designing a level to produce the perfect amount of fun, thrills, fear, etc.. Instead of that we cheaped out and had an algorithm just throw things at a wall. Sure all the levels are mediocre and monotonous now, but look on the brightside, there are an infinite amount of them. yay!!!

Where can I find those weapon tutorials?

I absolutely adore MGO, and I really appreciate the SaveMGO service, but a huge reason for me not coming back to play is toxicity. I know that's kind of a blanket excuse for any sweaty game, but the last 5 times I've returned to the game in order to try it out again, the player base is always comprised of a Very few amount of people, most of who are saying extremely weird, racist, and bizarrely sexual nonsense. There was a round where I didn't die once and the entire enemy team started to spam a bunch of weird copy-pasta macros in chat that said a lot of slurs and insults and its just like.. wow. I guess that's kind of to be expected for such a niche server for an already niche multiplayer component but wow it is Rough whenever I return to the game, and most of the time, not fun. Which is a shame, I miss the old group that I used to run around with back when I first tried SaveMGO on my PS3 all those years ago, but none of them play anymore due to the same reason, because most of the players are really weird, toxic individuals. That's kinda insane how every time ive returned, there's actually been a few people that I recognize from the last time I returned, and they would Still be on the same weird stuff they were on when I first played with them. I'd really like to return to the game sometime, if that problem is at the very least Heavily worked upon.

Savemgo you can still play online mgs4 mgo2 that is the best one. I wish you didn’t have to mod your ps3 to play I so would hop on if it was killzone 2 and socom where you can but the dna ip address in.

MGO3 on PC is unplayable, it's riddled with cheaters and there's lots of lag on top of that, I used to play it a lot back in the day, but gave up on it last year because of the toxic players that sour the entire experience. The game used to have a kick function that was useful to boot cheaters during a match, but was taken out on the last update because people were abusing it and kicking good players. Now you can only kick people during the lobby matching and lots of them join mid match to avoid being kicked, on top of that, even if one manages to kick these cheaters they somehow found a way to come back.

I remember back in the day when this was on the ps3 people would make custom servers and just practice CQC on each other in a massive circle jerk in the middle of the level. That's how slow it was to level up CQC in game. Makes sense that community figured out how to keep the game alive decades later.

MGO has the "you can just shoot them, but it WILL be the least effective way to do things" which other games never really managed to recapture it is nice to see that the fans are keeping this alive I hope at one point or another people more capable than me will make solar boy Django as one of the special characters

I used to use Raiden and Vamp. I would SLAUGHTER the other team with Raiden’s ability to virtually deflect bullets with his sword. Vamp was also hard to kill and his knife work was impeccable. It was cool as well how you could link up with your teammates and see each other’s locations. From time to time I reflect on how fun it was…………..and how MGO is SORELY missed.

I saved this video and will watch it later, I am wondering; Can PS3 players of MGO play with PC MGO players? My PC is powerful enough for emulator but I also want to buy a PS3 for my brother to play MGO online with me.

Really hoping for MGS Snake Eater Delta to bring back MGO1 Remastered..

They will have an option for the yellow filter available but it’s so bad. Everyone on the metal gear Reddit has been clowning on screenshots of it calling it the “piss filter” It’s like POV you’re in the locker as otacon scared for his life sitting in a puddle of urine….. that’s what it feels like to look at. Hal emmerich, creator of metal gear Rex and the piss filter.. amazing achievements truely. He really came thru when he brought us this one ☝️ 😂😂😂 nah im clowning lol if you know the story you’ll get it. But this game seriously looks amazing… just not feeling the peepee vision 😂 The new graphics change the way it looks completely the shadows and resolution just doesn’t mesh well with the yellow tone
