      yeah I did used to watch his reviews but I've seen a few now where he is so mean-spirited, especially when reviewing women/non binary/basically anyone who is not a man. I understand not everyone likes the same music, but he's not even talking about the music - he didn't engage with the lyrical content or context, only the marketing. Also he seemed to do NO research about it, like not even a cursory Google, which is weird for a review. idk left a bad taste in my mouth

    different growth curve some say that maturation stops when an addiction starts and remains haulted until the person is sober--at which time maturation resumes BUT it begins at the age before an addiction had a stronghold i learned/experiened this BUT it was within a family support group who were experiencing that many of the same challenges. i have no references either but it seemed to be a "given" bit of knowledge --maybe an urban myth or perhaps evidence of a different growth curve

    1000 days is amazing! That's 1000 days in a row where you showed up for yourself and kept going!! I think we belittle our accomplishments sometimes because we forget how hard things are, but that really is a huge win! I know I also struggle with acknowledging my wins- on friday i turned in my biggest term paper yet (and my second term paper ever; I somehow managed to get like 3/4 of the way to my bachelors only doing essays and exams) and this project was incredibly hard for me, between the adhd i was diagnosed with this year and my paralyzing fear of failure, I somehow managed to write a paper I am actually really happy with ❤ but still, I am working hard to let myself feel proud, because a voice inside of me always says "well, if I can do it, it can't have been that hard". I really have to make the plunge and make journaling a priority again because this is such an accomplishment and I have to hold onto this, to remind myself that I am capable of doing things that I thought I couldn't (also hiii I've started watching you like a week ago and i love the energy you bring to your channel,, its so gentle and positive ❤)

      i relate SO MUCH with the "if i can do it, it can't have been that hard" thank you for articulating that. you should definitely be proud of handing in your big paper (very well done!!), and yes good idea re journaling. it can be a great way of cementing our achievements. just writing it down sometimes helps me to look at it with a new perspective of like "wait, this IS a big deal" - same with saying things aloud to myself. like saying aloud "i'm sad" allows me to express it and it somehow becomes less heavy. words have power and can definitely change our perspective. i hope you take time to write about it if it will help remind you of all your wins!! and thank you for the kind feedback i am so glad you like what i share and am so happy if it encourages you!

    Hi. Sad to hear you are struggling with appreciation among people you consider friends, when at the same time you are indeed helping people put their feelings into words here on youtube. I've had a similar issue and after prioritizing my mental health I pretty much fell out of every loop and was left alone. These "friends" loved what I had to give them, but felt uneasy when I needed them back. It escalated into outright hostility because they did not want lose the established toxic dynamic with me, and me expressing my autonomy and dissatisfaction contradicted how they saw themselves. The reason why I'm commenting is because I found very many similarities regarding "the noise" and "thinking too much" and how being delulu all the time just doesn't feel like an option after being so self-aware for a long time. I am neurodivergent, I was late diagnosed in 2016 and since then many things started making a bit more sense about myself. I'm in no way diagnosing you, but there are tools that could help with being overstimulated with these thoughts and emotions, also finding support in a community that relates to this might help too. I can only speak from my part, but some things I realized after my diagnosis: -Neurotypical people (not all) do not relate to me. I might be a good ear and offer tangible solutions because I have navigated so long in a world built for them, that I have kind of an in built manual how to survive in it. I can offer them a different perspective, but still largely from their point of view. When the tables are flipped they simply cannot relate to me because they cannot shift into a neurodivergent perspective as they have never had to struggle with it. So they won't and you find yourself in a one-sided relationship. -Neurotypical people (not all) don't actually like me. They might recognize my strengths when in need of them, but it is mostly for necessity that they tolerate me. I am harder to read and typical efforts to gain social control do not work on me. I dissect absolutely everything. I see past status, formalities and hierarchies as something inherently made up. It's hard to understand why people do not want solutions that benefits everyone instead of few, but that's the thing, they don't want solutions. They want validation. Me unable to validate someone's bad or destructive behavior makes me the negative one in the room. -"The noise" was everyone outsourcing their lack of thinking to me and now it's done with AI. I had my moment with it and very soon I was over it. It however made me ask more questions about consciousness itself. Being self-aware is not easy and in a world where people seem to be able to shut certain parts of them to function, my awareness goes overdrive. Like I am responsible for everything to work out and if I give up the whole tower just falls apart. It's in fact a recurring nightmare of mine. As I age I realize that being delulu might actually be the solution. As I need to function properly if I ever want to have the resources necessary to make a positive change. I need to create that space for me, more room for my own thoughts and feelings. I need to choose _my_ delusion. PS. My favorite sunscreen atm. www.yesstyle.com/en/skin-1004-madagascar-centella-hyalu-cica-water-fit-sun-serum-twin/info.html/pid.1121503383

    • @juliadastra
      @juliadastra 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      thank you for this! when you wrote "i need to choose my delusion" that really stuck out. seems like so many people pick their delusion of "this is the happy life i'm supposed to have, this is what i want" or "i need to ignore the world to be happy." i don't see myself in either of those paths, but i can choose my own of being able to cope with my emotions/way i see the world while putting myself first and not getting too overwhelmed. i do think i am not neurotypical but i've never been bothered about it either way, but maybe it would be nice to have an explanation/more helpful ways of coping. i hope you are able/have been able to find a new group of friends who can appreciate you for you and don't just take and take all the time!!🧡 ps sorry that your comment was hidden before! any comments with a link are automatically hidden until i approve them, to help deal with spam. thank you so much for the sunscreen recommendation!!!! :)

    • @sinidejour
      @sinidejour 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@juliadastra Ah don't worry, I don't know how youtube comments even work because I do it so rarely :) My friendships are fewer and it does make me feel sad and lonely sometimes, but I've managed to create new ones that are more meaningful and deeper on every level. As I'm about to reach 500 days sober I'm more about quality over quantity and truly don't feel like going back ever again. It's still okay to be disappointed. I hope too you'll find a way to navigate through these things and never lose your voice!

    I'm having the exact same thoughts about my job. It's exhausting and a bit disheartening when you have to just accept the fact that, yeah, what you do for a living is unfulfilling and draining but that's just how it is. It's not what I want for my life, but having a salary is pretty neat 😭

      @juliadastra I'm currently on sick leave because my mental health was getting very bad, which was affecting my work, but work has also been quite unfulfilling lately so it was affecting my mental health, thus creating a vicious cycle. It gives me time to think about what I need and want out of life and put things into perspective. Obviously taking that sort of break is not an option for everyone, but if these feelings about your work persist, a break could help ❤️

    I had some similar thoughts yesterday about the phases thing. I currently have a hairstyle that is fairly unique and not exactly flattering but it was a hairstyle that i had been wanting and on the days i like it, i really like it. Every once in a while i think about how in the future i might be like omg i can't believe i had that style, how cringe, and i hope and dont think i will, bc this has been an experiment of my expression. Me truly not trying to prove anything to anyone and if i dismiss it in the future, i think itd be a disservice to myself as a person
