Can the acetate be cut with an xacto knife? Or do you really need to use scissors?

What a great question! I would recommend NOT gessoing over an oil painted surface for 2 reasons 1. Oil paint doesn't stick well to a gessoed surface, and 2. If you put gesso over oil paint (especially fresh oil paint) it will most likely crack in those areas as the oil paint oils are still active.

Does this process work for old oil paintings or only acrylic paintings? My understanding is that you can't put water based acrylic paint over oil paint.

Really loved this! Thank you! The one that "curdled", does it also dry faster? I know some medium extend drying times? I'll have to try these with transparent colours and see how it changes the opacity. Lots of food for thought!

I need some advice. ( Haven't finished your video ) I'm trying to refill an old paint pen without spending any money. I have black acrylic paint, and I want to thin it out without it losing opacity. I don't have many options at my hand. I have water and I have flow paint medium, but unfortunately it is glossy. I am currently considering opening my black posca and just adding that to my fine tip pen, but I would rather not. Any suggestions/tips ?

Im confused. What is the transparent paint? Is it an acrylic white paint. is it clear? What brand sells it. Is the brand liquitex, we use this to wipe out errors. Thanks

hello, I'm wanting to so a similar piece with $1 damaged comics. Do you have a video on what you are using as the canvas/board? how you are prepping the surface? are you going to coat the piece when finished and with what? I've also thought of treating the comic pages to remove acidity.
