I can’t help but think about such a special girl when I hear this song. We liked each other, it was so perfect and we had this insane chemistry that I don’t think I’ve ever felt with anyone else, but then I had to leave for Erasmus and she stayed back. When I came back, I told her I liked her, but she told me she had more platonic feelings then and she had to leave for Erasmus as well. To this day, she’s my friend, but when I see her I can’t help but think she’s the love of my life. If wrong time right person exists then this is it. She has a girlfriend now, and all I want is for her to be happy, but I know that if our paths ever cross again and we are not with anyone else then we are meant to be. I hope.

I was listening to this song on a bus on the way to my college and sat beside a handsome fellow. When he needed to pay for his bus ticket he dropped some coins and I helped him pick them up... that's practically the only interaction we had. He was quiet and extremely reserved, I could tell from how he positioned himself next to me; back was arched like he was hiding behind his backpack, phone almost hidden behind that backpack of his. He wasn't listening to music or anything, just using his phone. I wanted to talk to him so bad, but never found a reason to do so, or a commonality we had. Besides inside the bus it was extremely quiet so if I were to talk with him people would hear my attempt at befriending him. His stop was before mine so he just got up and left. I remember his stop was in the arts building inside his university... wow. I also like arts! If only I knew that he was an arts major then I would've started a conversation... I never got his name, or saw his ID. Since that day I always keep an eye out for him in the bus. I always think about how life would have been if I did say hi, and if we did become friends... This song reminds me of him, because he practically (cheesy) 'faded' away. I miss him in ways and for reasons I can't even describe.

this song reminds me of my mom. we are so alike with our attitudes sometimes so we can get into some pretty rude fights. but at the end of the way before bed she tells me she loves me and she does everything she can to make sure I can do the things I love. so this song reminds me of going on night car rides with her or watching a movie with her. Mazzy star is just special to me because I remember my mom telling me she used to listen to these records when she was in high school or college
