    Thank you 🙏🏾 very powerful, wise words Dave , that is a subject I often need to repent for . The Internet You Tube can have wonderful teachings and blessings on the Lord and channels etc , but is also used to divert you away from the joy of Christ with distractions even with adverts which I always hurriedly skip in righteous anger when the platform allows (u cH ubE), always adverts on “ How to manifest and achieve what’s rightfully yours 🙄” etc or “ Meditation Christian Apps “ using famous people whilst praying idols and objects in Hands etc or “ How to loose weight or hand the best house 🏡 🙄🥱🥱Ya da Ya da Ya da … 😴or videos will come up On which “ Party “ can “ “Save “ us all now etc .. However God can ALWAYS turn bad to good as I originally was truth searching thanks to 2020 so something good came out of all that division and being treated as A Leper and nearly loosing job . 3 off us out of a huge team off staff nHs ( all 3 of us Christians funny enough 🤔) The truth seeking on U chUbE can lead you either down huge rabbit 🐰 holes even if truth in them and to New Age type beliefs or Practices or to Christ . Thank God for his mercies on me that in his grace he lead me to him 🙏🏾❤️ However I still daily have to keep in check watching too much what going on in the world darkness wise , still a battle for me and it pulls you down very quick if your not careful but fir Gods Grace and patience and mercy , annoying that I still do do it though .😒 Blessings to you Dave .🙏🏾🇬🇧

      @@Servantsofgrace Thank you very much Pastor Dave for replying to me and for your prayers 🙏🏿♥️Received sad news on someone’s passing this morning who had only been married for two months and had escaped abuse in his previous relationship, but what saddened me the most is that he was an unbeliever as far as I know , so he won’t be resting in peace . Bought me to tears and crying out to God as my Husband is a non believer to, but never taunts or is jealous about my belief in Jesus .I DID not deliberately marry him and become unyoked as we met 21 years ago and have been married 16 years next month I have only been believing fully in Christ past three /four years .I wondered if you have any missed videos or could maybe approach this subject in the future on any tips on how to share the Gospel with our unbeliever Spouces with kindness ; patience and boldness. I was thinking off one day a week showing him a few Ray Comfort videos together and maybe praying the Gospel at the dinner table together , if I can sort out our meal times better and get us out off the lounge . I would greatly appreciate any advice or Bible passages or books . I don’t see this subject covered very often and at first thought I was meant to divorce him 😱until thankfully reading Gods word on Marriage. I pray you see this , many kind thanks 🙏🏿🇬🇧😊

      Jessica, thank you for sharing! I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of this person you shared about. I will keep you in my prayers as you navigate your grief from this situation, and also for your husband's salvation. I'm thankful He saved you three years ago. That's a great question/request to cover and one I think I'll add to the list of topics to cover on my question-and-answer podcast that comes out every Thursday here. Showing him Ray Comfort videos would be a great idea! And praying the gospel is a wonderful idea also. Also asking him what he thinks the gospel is another great idea and an opportunity to share the truth in love. My advice on that is to make sure you really listen and ask questions and then say something after the other person (your husband) knows you understand what he says. You want him to be as receptive to what you'll say as possible from the Word of God. Please try to only give really basic answers and ask him questions to see if he understands what you are saying. The other thing is keep turning the conversation to Christ and how good He is to you and how you know of His goodness. Let Him see as Paul said in 2nd Corinthians the "aroma of Christ" in your life as you are salt and light (Matthew 5) before him and your family and friends. In other words, let him see the difference Christ is making in your own life in the way you live, work, and play and do your life. Let your husband see that Christ truly is the delight of your heart. Another thought: Find practical ways to love and serve your husband. I'll join you in praying for him. I can't think of any good books or resources off the top of my head. Hopefully this helps, Jessica! Lastly, please just call me Dave. Thank you! -Dave

    I just started listening and subscribed to your channel. I was hoodwinked by their teachings and books, as I grew in my walk something didn't sit right. During Covid shutdown I learned a lot about their ministry and how many churches use their books (my AOG church included) for Sunday school and for teaching. I also got suspicious when they freely speak of the Engram and knowing your number. I threw out my books and don't recommend to anyone anymore.

I wasn't aware they engaged with the Enneagram at all, but having spoken out with many others in a very public way on the Enneagram (you search our channel here for many episodes why the Enneagram is concerning), it doesn't surprise me they support it. This was such an encouraging video. I particularly loved the section where you discussed sin, and turning from sin. It's encouraging to hear that others struggle (key word... struggle... not accept your sin, but struggle to overcome it) with sin, and that each of us generally have particular areas of sin that are more difficult than others to overcome... I have my own areas of struggle. Sometimes it makes me wonder how a true Christian can struggle with the same sin over and over again. It makes me sad. But like you said in the video, it isn't a demon making you sin, its your own sinful flesh that desires whatever that particular sin is, more than you desire God at that moment. Oof. Hard to hear, but true. Thankfully, we serve a powerful God that can help us overcome everything. I know I'll never be perfect here on earth, but I sure want to get as close as I can possibly can. Not for some legalistic reason, but because I love God and truly want to obey him. Now if only my sinful flesh would get with the program!

    • @Servantsofgrace
      @Servantsofgrace 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi sister, thank you for sharing. I'm saying what I'm saying here as an encouragement to you: What you've shared here is Romans 7, but please don't stop at Romans 7. Please look at and study Romans 8 and see the help and hope that the Lord has given to us in the ministry of the Holy Spirit to Christians to put our sin to death so that we might love and grow in the grace and knowledge of our dear Lord Jesus. I'm praying for you. Killing our sin like you said is hard work and it is also a lifelong work, but it is necessary work. As John Owen said, we must be killing sin, or sin will be killing us. We should take our sin very seriously, but we should equally take our Lord Jesus seriously. Both/and not either or here per Romans 6-8 and 1 John 1:9. Like you said we all have struggles (and Michelle and I as you heard talked about ours). That's why we need to do life with others face to face with other Christians (as you know) so we can bear each other's burdens and grow to be more like Jesus together in our local churches!! Praise God for His sufficient grace and the means He has provided in our union with Christ. Glory to God in the highest! -Dave

      @@Servantsofgrace Hi Dave! I know you well enough by now to know that anything you say is to help me, so no worries there! I’m a little confused though. If we know that sinless perfection isn’t taught in the Bible, that means that true believers will struggle with sin and not ever be totally sinless in this life. Right? (And BTW, I’m not advocating a cheap grace type of idea. I’m saying that Christians will *struggle* against sin, not have a mentality of “I’ll sin now and repent later”) If I’m wrong, can you explain how? Thank you as always! I very much appreciate you and your ministry! :)

      @@Franquie Thank you, sister! I'm glad you said what you did. I said what I did (even though you know) so others (who would read this know I'm intending to be encouraging!). So, we are actually in agreement here but are coming at it from different angles. I was talking about indwelling or remaining sin (Romans 7) and how the Holy Spirit helps us to overcome sin and put it to death so we can grow to be like Jesus (Romans 8). Like you I’m against sinless perfection. I’m also against lawless and loose living. Like you I believe the Scripture is clear that the Christian will struggle against sin this side of heaven. I was talking about how the Holy Spirit helps us to put sin to death (Romans 6:11; Romans 8:13). Of course we will still wrestle with remaining sin, but the true Christian will increasingly find victory over sin. That isn’t actually sinless perfection but true obedience. My main point here though is we won’t ultimately do this in our own strength but in the strength He supplies. That’s why John 14:15 is given and then Jesus gives the teaching He does in John 15 about how He is the Vine. The Lord provides the power source and the fuel and the desire to obey (He really provides it all!) and our response to that grace is to obey. Also, I never said you were wrong, I was expanding on what you said to focus on the role of the Holy Spirit like Paul does in Romans 8! I’m also not to be clear advocating the idea of, “I’ll sin now and repent later” to be clear, but rather I’m advocating something different namely the logical flow of Romans 6-8 is this: 1) we have a new identity in Christ, b) we will wrestle with that new identity because while we are saved we still have indwelling or remaining sin (Romans 7), but the Holy Spirit helps us to put that sin to death and grow to be like Christ (Romans 8). Our growth is imperfect at best as you are pointing out, but we must also with that stress it is vital work that we do obey, while we also say, even our obedience is fueled by God’s grace through the help of the Holy Spirit. I know that may all seem like I'm splitting hairs a bit, but it really does matter that we are clear about what we mean when we speak about our positional identity in Christ and our ongoing growth in Christ (progressive sanctification). Hopefully this clarifies things a bit…. And thank you for the continued encouragement. Glory to God alone!

    I've been watching for a bit, but don't comment often. This one was spot on! I love Michelle! This blaming everything on a demon is robbing believers of growing and mortifying their sin. It truly is a teaching that leads others away from Christ😪

      Thank you, Debbie for watching. That is okay you don't comment often. Thank you for the encouragement. You are absolutely right about blaming everything on a demon and how it affects how one views our growth in Christ and our putting our sin to death. It is tragic what these teachers do to people, and it makes me sad and upset enough to want to continue to speak out against it, because as you said, "It truly is a teaching that leads others away from Christ." Thank you for watching. -Dave

    This video came to my feed at a good time. The women's Bible study at my church is at the end of The Bait of Satan. I had issues with it from page 2 (printing casual conversation in quotes as actual Words of God! What is this--another book of a different John?) However, as a toddler Christian (I was formerly Catholic) I couldn't articulate what was causing me concern. Your video has given me the clarity that I prayed for and confirmation of my reservations about the Beveres and this study. Thank you.

      Glory to God! I'm thankful that this video helped you. Everyone who records on these false teachers prays for the false teacher we talk about along with their followers. We pray before the recording, while we are working on it, and before I hit record. We also pray after the recording when it releases. I'm thankful the Lord used this episode in your life. I also saw your other comment about short clips. I agree those are useful but I'm not making them of this episode. The plan is actually to make short clips for Contending for the Word and Equipping You in Grace moving forward. I've been sharing these on our Facebook at facebook.com/Servantsofgrace and Instagram, instagram.com/equippingyouingrace/ and instagram.com/contendingfortheword/ Since there are already two videos that go up on a day on this channel I don't want to overwhelm people with two short clips also as that would be a lot. Thank you again for your encouragement. I hope you'll find our content helpful. Please also check out our website at servantsofgrace.org/ -Dave

    Hi Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins. I want you to know how much this video touched me. Mrs. Jenkins, I am a grown woman who lost her father 4 years ago. It was the hardest thing I've ever gone through. I didn't want to live without my dad...my dad was my EVERYTHING! I was angry with God. I believed God took my dad from me to punish me. I wanted to know WHY? I demanded God tell me why. Who was I to DEMAND of God? 2 years after I lost my dad, God showed me the reason. I'm a Christian, but didn't have as close of a relationship with Him as I should want to. God took my earthly father, so that I would have to come to (and rely) on my Heavenly Father! I still miss my dad (very much), but God HEALED my grief. I don't grieve anymore, God took that from me! Your story is so touching & helpful. Thank you, Sarah! If I may ask, would you and your husband please pray for me? I've been struggling with fear/doubt regarding my salvation, and I don't know why. Again, thank you so much for this video. God bless you both!

      Hi! I was so glad to read your message and hear that this was helpful for you. ❤ I'm sorry to hear about your dad. 💔 The Lord's ways are certainly higher than ours. It's still hard, though. Thankfully we can lean on Him, knowing He will never leave us nor forsake us. I will definitely pray for your anxiety and concern about your salvation. Allow me to give you some reassurance from Scripture... if you've put your faith and trust in Jesus for your salvation, and confessed that Jesus is Lord, you can be assured that you are His. There's nothing else to be done, "It is by grace you have been saved..." I'm praying that you remember this the next time you feel anxious. There's nothing anyone, least of all you, can do to separate yourself from the love that is in Christ Jesus. "Neither height, nor depth..." Romans 8:31-39. So, worry not...God cares for the sparrow and how much more does He care for you. Be of good courage, my friend! Dave and I will keep you in our prayers!

    This video is perfect timing. Having a conversation with my son about this subject. I'm finding the term pentacostalization is the word I was looking for. This is so true for the evangelical church. And to try and tear down the "feelings" that are associated with music or the whole "I have the power" blah, blah, blah is very difficult. You mention opening the eyes of my heart. The CCM song with the same title is horrible and in my opinion misuses this scripture. Can't stand it. God is a God of order and the freedom of understanding that is wonderful. The Holy Spirit helping us to understand the Scriptures is by far better than any wishy washy CCM song... I'm Rambling. But just grateful for this video. Thank you for sharing!

    Thank you Dawn & Dave, you are both appreciated.💕💕 I always look forward to your discussions. I can relate to so much of what you talked about having myself come out of first 33 years of catholicism then jumped into 3+ decades in WOF/NAR churches!😱🫨 The various types of abuse that went on from the leadership was unthinkable. Now that I’m away from it it’s so obvious… but it wasn’t when I was in it.😶‍🌫️😵‍💫 In attempting to talk with friends & family who are still caught up in it my experiences have been that none of them want to listen & have even distanced themselves from me😥 - very disheartening. I know I can only pray for their eyes to be opened to the deceptions & error but in the meantime it’s difficult being shunned by those who are dear to me.… (💡maybe that could be a topic for one of your future discussions: Dealing with ongoing rejection when we come out of these heretical & dangerous “churches” ??
