The historical Buddha did not say this. He himself did not fully negate Determinism nor endorse Free Will. It was Nagarjuna who founded the _Madhyamāpratipada_ and thus gave us the tools to reject both Free Will and Determinism as bianary extremes. The will is conditioned along with everything else in Samsara. But a fully awakened Buddha's will can be seen as more provisionally unconditioned than the layperson's due to the absence of delusional mental formations obscuring the sunyata within their will.
TH-cam channel video's SEO rating is poor of Due to this your subscribers and views are not increasing, and the titles, descriptions, and keywords SEO should be done correctly only then you will get good results. the same problem in Video every.
Every single video on your channel is amazing. But your video views are lower. Because your optimization is very poor. Your optimization needs to improve as soon as possible.

Can you expand on the Goenka? I’m going to a Zen retreat in India for 10 days, and was considering another Goenka (would be my 3rd afterwards). I also did 3 Mahasi retreats, one 30 day.

Bear in the cave. I repeat. Bear in the cave
That bear is really huge man
I've barely just started this process after being recommended Echart Tolle's book. Haven't started a day-to-day routine yet as I want to finish the book and learn the basics first. Thanks for an informative and good vibes video :)
Your video is wonderful and it's rare to see a TH-camr actually cite a research paper while providing a link to it available to the public. That said, I could not stop looking at the cliffhanger hanging out of your nose. I don't mean to be that guy, and I apologize, but I felt like someone should tell you. It distracted me the entire video.
Scrolled down here to say the same XD
How is that taking it on? He just said it is wrong? And I'm certain Buddy was long long long before nihilism got the name nihilism. So that just proves he was the Budda. The Could speak in 21st century english and use words that were invented in the 1700's in Germany.
dude, are you thick-skulled? Pali, the language Buddha spoke, had words to describe the semantic values that "nihilism" and "free-will" represent.
It works for me.
Interesting
Hi Juren, I am TH-cam Manger and strategist of one of my client, and my client saw a growth over 500% on his TH-cam Channel in terms of Subscribers. nigamob
No
Meditation, yes with guidance and training, >absolutely< caused me serious trouble with anhedonia, that it has taken a several years of hard work to overcome. It's a legitimate issue, that should be taken seriously.
👍
Great video!
I think it's clear the answer is yes. As Sam Harris says, monks don't found software companies. They renounce worldly desires and go off to live in monasteries. The world starts to look like an endless treadmill and they choose not to participate.
Personally I disagree, most monks are very active in their own community and provides lot's of charity
@ What part do you disagree with? I agree that only the most committed go to live in monasteries, but to me that implies the more one accepts Buddhism, the more one rejects worldly desires and normal activities/occupations/relationships and decide to live in a monastery etc.
I think that the issue lies in the relationship with desire. Buddhism invites to be sceptic towards desires, and this can lead to apathy. From this point of view, christianity is more powerful because, on the contrary, it pushes on the human desire (of beuty, truth and good)
Interesting point! Christianity has some really cool mystic deep-end stuff as well
@ Indeed also christianity has meditation, they call it “to pray” or, for catholics, just enter a church and just shut up :)
Haha yeah :), I personally liked Cynthia Bourgeault's the Heart of Centring Prayer a lot
This is helpful, thanks for doing this video
I loving your channel lol I just starting to get into this world of mindfulness

The topic sounds very good, but i couldn't watch it. Please practice your pronunciation more and get closer to the mic 🎤 Good luck
Being present is something really great but do you live in the present moment all the time if yes then what's the benefits ❤
Heey, I would say 80% of the time I am in the present. Benefits are: calmness, clarity, contentment and very little worries / overthinking :D
Thanks for the information brother 😊
Happy to help!
It seems to require a lot of concentration and practice though. The looping, dark thoughts simply pulls me back in.
Yes definitely, like any other skill it will take some time to develop. If you keep practicing youre guaranteed to be succesful
@@JurjenvanRees I wish I could crawl out of the crazy space instantaneously sometimes though. Of course, drugs or medications aren't a solution and I don't want to head to that path but it can be overwhelming. Any advice on how to meditate when you aren't skilled and want to quickly come out of a dark headspace?
Yes, the fastest way is to work together with a skilled and experienced meditator. If you want you can book a 30 min call with me (free), I will you help you get out the dark headspace: calendly.com/jurjenvanrees/qa-call
I didn’t understand. Can you explain it here in the coments section please? Best regards from Argentina!
Yes sure Marco: 1) Recognize you're overthinking. 2) Be happy that you are aware of your mind. 3) Gently redirect your attention to a wide open space: the room, the sky or any other sense of openness. 4) Dwell in this place and see how it changes your thinking mind. Hope this helps!
nice perspective, so its basically about moving your attention outward from yourself to the space around you ?
Yes exactly, and then your attention switches into more awareness
Thanks for the kind words, I know that you will continue to grow in the future!
Great JJ, currently reading Maltz here too, hoping to see the benefits of updating my self image
Awesome!
🍄 Let me decompose back into nature one day and let my body nourish the soil from which we all came, the soil which we can, in our privilege, now neglect
Lame little boy.
Wim hof breathwork and DMT Breathwork has changed my life. I'm not watching this shit, I only came to comment. Stop criticizing others and build something genuine if you can. Ciao
you like to live in simulation, type of person
I think everyone just has their own way of breathing. Personally I do extended slow inhales into my nose directly to chest first then I fill the belly and diaphragm with sometimes a short pause to accentuate the chest cavity stretch then a slow extended exhale and emptying every last bit you can squeeze gently out and repeat until you feel satisfied. Works great when driving in traffic. In general I think applying breathing practices increases oxygen to the brain which is the scientific reason as to why our mind and body seem to function and feel better as it's highly oxygenated and that accelerates or aids in its natural nervous, digestive, immune, etc systems it has. Similiar to the recovery sleep has on people who do a lot of weightlifting it's necessary to allow you mind body to have breaks to build back with nutrients, or in medications case oxygen as the basic beginning to much of the brain synapses telling the rest of the body what to do.
First of all thanks for posting.. but.. I think before you create any personal or generic opinion about this and put it online as sort of a research result.. You should 1. set your own expectations aside (the standard mindset as an “experienced” meditator) … 2. the story about Tumo is far from accurate . It’s not the breathing. It’s the visualization the monks can create to heat up the body, the breathing is a different part and has nothing to do with the breathing Wim does. 3. The cold shower results don’t have immediate results just as you meditate for the first x times it doesn’t really bring big so much change 4. The point you are trying to make is a personal one so don’t use it to dbunk the hard facts from the scientific research thoroughly done so why criticizing this with just a few personal experiences from yourself or your friends or your nephew? No hard feelings, but I guess it doesn’t bring anything new to the scene of Wim and the video is more about that you’re just a beginner. So for me, the outcome of your video is that because you think you have a lot of experience in meditation you automatically can understand what is the method of wim of breathing … Implemented as a day routine consistently, and then after maybe one month come back with the results
I get myself into an incredible state of natural bliss doing Wim hof breathing personally
Welcome to being human silly
What Wim Hoff does is definitely not Tummo, even if there are similarities. Incidentally, there are now several methods that are all referred to by this name. They differ slightly, but their effects are recognizably different. The main difference is that Tummo is part of the 6 Yogas of Naropa. As such, it is part of a spiritual path of initiation. What Wim Hof does is initially a breath-energy technique, although there is certainly the possibility of gaining spiritual access. There are many people who find his method helpful, but of course it would be strange if there were no one for whom it was unsuitable. After all, everyone has different needs and goals.
