Remember when Subway was king of sandwiches? You do something shitty enough for a long period of time, someone will enter the market and knock you on your ass. This happens in all forms of business. Now with Jersey Mikes and Jimmy Johns... we have Subway cutting their own meats and trying to do better. And WWE has for sure gotten better because of AEW. Yes, an accurate prediction, but based on the knowledge that if you leave the door open long enough, someone else will come through. It happens everywhere.
Imagine telling someone 3 years ago that CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Sting, Jericho, Ambrose (Moxley), Christian, Rusev (Miro),Revival (FTR), Aleister Black (Malakai black) Kenny Omega,Young Bucks, Cody will be in the same wrestling promotion and it's NOT Wwe.
whats *really* odd was Tony Khan was around 35/36 when he founded AEW and he said "maybe some wrestling fan, about 35 or so years old" was gonna form it
Are we for sure that this didn't come out recently? Because it damn sure sounds like it, if Alverez didn't mention "Swagger" then you would've thought that this came out last year or something. WWE was ACTUALLY decent to a degree during that time, I would say that that began to all change in 2016. 2016-present was when it started going downhill in WWE, sure there was those "this is awesome" moments and awesome occasions that happened here and there but nowadays WWE just turned into background noise. WWE is not the be all and end all that it once was.
what makes this more crazy than anything is the fact that this was in 2011 when wwe was actually still somewhat decent, compared to now where its just facking hopeless at this point.
Very accurate but every REAL wrestling fans knew this could happen one day. Even myself knew that wrestling can only be fun to watch if there's a new competitor in the business. I'm just happy that I can finally watch a product that makes more sense and realistic than watching a PG product that's predictable and boring.
Almost 10 years later, Raw still sucks, Cena and Orton are/were in the title picture some things never change, but AEW is thriving and it's beautiful to see
(This is gonna be really long, anyone that actually reads this, I appreciate it.) Ngl. I'm a WWE lifer type of guy. Grew up watching it, pretty much saved my life when I was ready to end it. But even I don't watch RAW or Smackdown that much anymore. I keep up with wrestling but don't watch much. WWE has beaten it out of me. A very loyal fan. I know people say 2008-2012 was crap but I still stand by it wasn't that bad. Still had fun watching weekly. Any problem in WWE that was there on the surface then has gotten like 100x worse in 10 years. It fucking sucks because just 5 years ago this company felt like they reinvented/rejuvenated themselves. 2015 wasn't really that bad of a year and neither was 2016. But it was super stale and boring. They needed to pump life into themselves and did so. They made mistakes along the way but RAW and Smackdown and even PPV's were exciting to watch again. I would say up until maybe post Mania 34. WWE felt fun. Then they just fucking crashed and burned. They still had some good/great moments here and there but never capitalized on it. It's so easy. They had the best roster at the best possible time. Everyone was just over already and all they had to do was capitalize. They had the wrestling world in the palm of their hands. And just fucked it up. Now it's almost unbearable to watch. Smackdown has like all the talent and is better booked but still not great. They still can't do things right though overall it's a much better show than RAW. I hate to say it but WWE makes me feel embarrassed for being somewhat still a fan. I am happy AEW exists because it is another big league wrestling company. They use everyone. Everyone makes money and everyone is happy and free to do the things they want to do. And now they have some of the hottest talent in the world and brought back a man who had wrestling murdered out of him. AEW is genuine competition now. They have stars as big or matches WWE. They might not have all the numbers but AEW has the world in their hands and I hope they kick WWE's ass. I don't want WWE to die like anyone else idiotically thinks. I just want then to get better. I wanna turn on my TV and not feel embarrassed for saying I am watching RAW or Smackdown. I want wrestling in general to be a hot commodity amongst everyone. I don't just want one place to hold all the power. Actual competition is good. Even when WWE created their own competition and actually cared, you can see how hot things can get. So now that genuine competition exists I'm hoping a fire is lit under someone's ass. Fucking just let Triple H book the main roster. The man actually knows how to use talent in NXT. It may not be as great as it was before but Triple H capitalizes on opportunities. He actually uses talent in various ways than just the same people and matches month after month.
@@ethanblack6407 I mean tbh. I was fine with it. I honestly do like the new arena and look tbh. Can't wait for it to be in 2K22. But I do hope they keep the old arena in too. It was like a weird mix of Vince and Triple H booking. Nothing bad but was weird. Wedding segments were pretty fun. Also Zombie ref is a call back to something that happened last year I think at Halloween Havoc. It's a wait and see approach tbh. Info says Triple H is still very much in charge but some of his team is not there anymore. We'll see once Triple H is healthy again. Also they should have kept Bron Breakker as Rex Steiner. I feel that is absolutely a Vince decision. He likely wants nothing to do with that name mostly due to Scott.
One of the most accurate predictions for a wrestling company that has yet to exist 8 years later. After seeing CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, and Adam Cole, it's already true.
Funny thing is, WWE HAS TRIED TO DO at least a few of these things (injured Miz, utilize Ryder's internet fame), but the "WWE style" combined with the outdatedness/cluelessness of Vince and his army of idiot Yes Men just means they can't do shit with them.
and i came back after aew 2nd year anniversary, cm punk first match in aew ppv, adam cole, ruby soho, brian danielson and minoru f*ckin suzuki enters the forbidden door.
So AEW is basically WWE New Generation era… and the fans like it now? 🤔🤔🤔🤔 I still don’t get it… but I also stopped watching WWE. I even stopped watching NXT about a years ago.
I think the only thing he might've been wrong about is that we're not going back to territories. Thanks to internet streaming and fan support becoming much more international, we're seeing a territory like system start to re-emerge. Impact, AEW, MLW, NJPW, AAA, and so many other promotions are starting to enter onto the international stage, and letting their stars mingle with other promotions, so they can all promote each other. There's a bright future for the world of wrestling, and WWE is getting scared they won't be in it
Just what happened with Jon Moxley at All Out, when the day before he won the GCW World Championship (even is confirmed a future match against Nick Gage) and at the event he clashed with japanese legends like Satoshi Kojima and Minoru Suzuki
The biggest mistake Vince ever made was trying to bury the Runnels. If he didn't have a hate boner for the Runnels family, he would have never made Cody be Stardust. If Cody never had to be Stardust, he likely wouldn't have left WWE. Once Cody was in the Bullet Club...AEW was inevitable.
@@alexgaspar2525 and if Jericho vs Omega never happened... yea look guys, we could do this all day. There were tons of stars that aligned just right to make this 10 year old prediction come to fruition. 10 years from now, we'll say: AEW didn't defeat Vince, Vince defeated Vince.
I grew up watching WWF in the 90s and loved it. As it changed to WWE and started to decline I, like many, lost interest altogether. 4 times over the last 20 years I've made a genuine effort to try again with WWE and I could never make it to the end of one episode of Raw or Smackdown. 2 weeks ago I started watching AEW and immediately connected with the characters, storyline and the quality of the violent dancing in the ring. I'll definitely be buying All Out on Monday (in Australia here) and can't wait to hopefully watch Kenny and the Young Bucks get beaten

I want Bryan to react to this one day
7:34 That’s actually scary how perfect predicted that
AEW fans claiming they aren't cultists haha.
Just watched this up all checks out including trips and Stephanie leaving
Tony Kahn was just some guy in a bullet club shirt, just saying you never know where being a fan will get you
And it’s even more accurate today
Tony Khan - Hold my fantasy booking card I'm going In!
Some might say all in

And that they beat RAW and Smackdown in the demo at least once.
Crazy...
That Britt Baker and Broken Leg thing was spot on thoooo
Why is this guy screaming into his mic
Idk if it was planned but I laughed you showed that face of Seth when Bryan said “fake fights”
Holy bryan cow
Somebody should show him this...this really was the nail on the head
8 years since you said it dude... Hope you are anjoying it
It is actually insane how accurate this is, maybe that's why Bryan loves AEW so much
If streetbeefs can still exist so can territories
Dude really went back in time and gave the world hints of the future of Wrestling, too bad he didn't warn us about covid 😂
Literally just watching this so TH-cam stops recommending it to me. Show this to Bryan and Vinny so they can react to it.
i mean hes kind of just saying generic shit lol
Thank you. Here’s a fun video: th-cam.com/video/v3qnouiFDjQ/w-d-xo.html
Lol
1:07 Let´s go Kevin Steen 😂
Crazy how he actually called this. Good on Bryan seriously
Wow
Watching this in 2021
All of that + stealing established talent from WWE. It’s the perfect blueprint.
"stealing" WWE letting firing everyone, and the others being fed up with the contract
Didn’t Hulkamania start with Vince stealing Verne Gagne’s top heel, putting him in red and yellow and making him a babyface against the Iron Shiek?
I can't help but imagine the voice is David Cross's
whats *really* odd was Tony Khan was around 35/36 when he founded AEW and he said "maybe some wrestling fan, about 35 or so years old" was gonna form it
This is crazy shit. clairvoyant level 1000

WWE pretty much fell off a cliff in terms of quality by 2008-09. By the fall of 2011 it was pretty rough.
