Good question! I followed a hack for taming loose chrome powders with rubbing alcohol. The hack missed a step where you’d press the concoction with a coin in a paper towel or something while it dries to actually make a pressed pigment jar. It breaks up easily, but did overall work somewhat to make sure most of the powder stays in place. In the process I was mesmerized by the swirling shimmers and decided to take some aesthetic footage.

I’m afraid the answer is not spectacular enough, but here it is: I don’t use fancy products, other than gel paints in red, white and black for pigmented line work I use just colored gel polishes. When my hands are about to go numb or start trembling I’ll cure in between to make sure I can’t mess up the next step. Hope this helps 🫶

I don’t know this particular brand but if you search Jelly Gel nail polish you’ll find a whole slew of them in all colours ❤ Born Pretty has a red like this I had my eye on. The colour is JN39 (or JN40 I can’t remember which. I think the later is a bit darker. It’s definitely one of the 2)

This particular shade was by Hanbi off Amazon- it’s currently unavailable though. Mixing a pigment powder with a topcoat does the trick as well, you just have to make sure everything is dissolved and there are no bubbles left.
