Very good analysis for the T100 men in Vegas. I think you nailed it.

The main factor that all of this analysis misses is the heat. It will not be an ounce of a factor. That desert heat wouldn't matter if it was 40c, that air doesn't hold the humidity.

My opinion is that Dubrick will be highly motivated. My opinion is he thought he was slighted in not being allowed to defend his title in San Francisco.

I like your top 2, but I think Anne Haug outruns Derron for 3rd. Derron overtakes Kat Matthews on the run to finish 4th. And Kat surprises everyone with a top 5, off a strong bike.

I have Ash and Julie swapped, and Imo and Anne swapped. I remember Ash saying early on that T100 success was about how long you could hold on at Olympic-distance intensity... Excited to see if Julie has gotten comfortable enough on the bike to demonstrate that Olympic speed.

Marta Sánchez will probably swim in the first or secimd chase pack also. She doesn't have much PR, but her swim-bike is very elite

Until she works out her mental health, she's far too unreliable to bet on. It's not conditions. It's not equipment. It's not the competition. She has debilitating levels of self-introspection.

Chelsea has gone through a bit of a tri-community bashing recently, some of which is her own doing. But, as for the race, it depends how the conditions are because the swim could be very tough if it's choppy and she could be out of contention by then. If she swims well, then bike is another tough challenge for her, and personally I don't think she'll suit this course in Nice. If by a miracle she's in the top 6 coming off the bike, the rest of the field better watch out, as she is one of the best runners in the women's field. Prediction: 6th or DNF
