Rik Emmett (Triumph) - Let Love Conquer All LIVE (rare!) May 2004
This is a fantastic, extremely rare live audio version of "Let Love Conquer All" by Rik Emmett of Triumph, performed in Port Hope, Ontario in May 2004.
Rik only played this song live a handful of times ever, and I think was playing this by request for someone. I didn't have my video camera set up that day, just had a small minidisc recorder which I believe may even had to place on the floor. The audio quality isn't soundboard-level, but it's pretty good, and Rik sounds absolutely phenomenal in this clip, just building in energy and hits every high note perfectly.
I believe I have the full set somewhere, but years ago had made myself an mp3 of just this song, and realized today I should share it with the world! Enjoy!

Circuit - live in concert - Nepean, Ontario - Cock n Bull Pub - 2003-12-21

Ottawa band Circuit performing at the Cock 'n Bull Pub in Bells Corners on December 21st, 2003. View is partially blocked because camera is just set up on a table filming. I believe the last 5 minutes of the show are missed as well. From about the 48:50 mark onwards is the original minidiv quality recording. For the first 48 minutes, the footage had originally been backed up to a VHS tape, so i...
Moxy - Oshawa, Ontario - live concert 2005-06-25 (Terrible sound/lighting!)
มุมมอง 584 หลายเดือนก่อน
Canadian classic rock band Moxy performing live at a bar in Oshawa, Ontario back on June 25th, 2005. Alex Machin (formerly of A Foot in Coldwater) is the lead singer for this show. Unfortunately, the sound quality is so horrible that it's basically unwatchable. I must have accidentally clicked the wrong mic setting the night of the show and it recorded way too high. I tried a few different ways...

Tom Cochrane and Red Rider, along with guest performer Damhnait Doyle, perform live at the Ottawa Civic Centre during the Central Canada Exhibition (Super Ex) concert series, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on August 18th, 2003. The concert was recorded by me on minidv and digitized years ago, finally getting around to uploading it now. (Note that I long ago re-used the original minidiv tape, and st...

Canadian band Coney Hatch performs live at Lulu's in Kitchener, Ontario at the bar's Halloween party event. Date of the show was Saturday October 29th, 1994. This was filmed by someone in the audience, and I acquired it years ago I think from the filmer. I couldn't find it on TH-cam, so I've taken the liberty of digitizing and uploading it for fans to enjoy. All rights with the band, I own none...
Rik Emmett (Triumph) - Much Music interview segment - circa 1992
มุมมอง 4545 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is a brief interview clip with Rik Emmett from Triumph. A much longer interview would have aired on Much Music originally in 1991 or 1992, after Rik had left Triumph. Much then pulled this segment out and re-aired it as part of a Much Music "Spotlight" on Triumph and Rik which aired on October 27th, 1994. I have never seen the original 1991-1992 interview in full anywhere. From my old VHS ...
Triumph Gil Moore - interview on The New Music - April 1983

Gil Moore, drummer and vocalist from Canadian rock band Triumph is interviewed in April 1983 on City TV's "The New Music" show (which eventually would inspire the creation of the Much Music channel). I've sourced this interview from two different places. The first 7 minutes are from an intact segment from the original broadcast which someone had recorded on VHS. The last minute was from the sam...

Underrated Canadian rock band Brighton Rock show up in an official VHS release called "Hard and Heavy Volume 4", with a few interview clips and a live performance of "Power Overload". This is a brief interview with Mike Levine of Canadian rock band Triumph appearing on "The Beat" a PBS Detroit (WTVS) show hosted by Doug Podell. I estimate this clip to be from early January 1985, which is when Triumph was touring Thunder Seven in the Michigan area. If the interview ran longer, I never got a copy of it, this is all I got from a fan many years ago on VHS. Now digitized and uplo...
Much Music announces Rik Emmett leaving Triumph - September 1988 - Pepsi Power Hour

This was the moment when Canadian TV network Much Music VJ Laurie Brown announced the surprising news that Rik Emmett was leaving Triumph. British heavy metal band Grim Reaper perform at Wacken Open Air in 2000. There are a few videos from this performance on TH-cam, but I didn't see any taken by this filmer. I acquired this video 20 years ago, I did not film it. It is of course incomplete, but thought I'd upload it for fans to enjoy. RIP Steve Grimmett. Rik Emmett of Canadian rock band Triumph is interviewed on Musique Plus (the French Canada equivalent of Much Music) following the release of the Thunder Seven album. It is from Quebec :) Rare footage acquired years ago o...

Rik Emmet has never played a bad note in his lifetime. His playing with Triumph is excellent, as a huge understatement!
Excellent footage!
Very cool video! Thanks for posting
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I was at this concert, second row from the stage - I remember it like it was yesterday - the old Winnipeg Arena - loud, probably the loudest arena in North America, if not the world, at the time. Love this
This is the best solo acoustic version of this song I've ever seen !!
Wow thanks for sharing this show, one of the best live concert experience ever, seeing Saga in a small venu, up close and personal, was just amazing!
You can still hear her signature style.
Please - Send more of this rare videos!😊
I was at this show in Winnipeg. Aldo Nova opened and it was a freezing bus ride home that January night🥊
Wow that must have been amazing, I love Aldo too!
Rik is a master class musician, songwriter, vocalist and human being.
I wonder what became of Robert
That "kid" is in his 60's now.
This is incredible. This was super fun to sing along with back when I was in Recording Engineering school and playing in bands... First band I was in covered many Triumph songs - we were kids then 16 thru 19 years old. This sounds (feels) facial / palate the original key. Thanks for this !!
Thanks again for sharing Dave.. Buffalo loves you
Amazing!
Wow! Canadian Talent extreme!
Got any more open Mike episodes?
why?? they weren't funny--not at all
@@bufnyfan1 because, they were funny
@@bufnyfan1I loved them.
@@bufnyfan1 So then EINSTEIN, what re you doing here ey !! 😊
Apparently they are working to digitize a whole vault of MUCH tapes from the CHUM era. That was a few years ago. Where’s the progress ? I would love to watch more of these episodes full & uncle from the music and commercials. Great upload thank you.

I was there.
Ted Woloshyn, legendary Canadian Radio Broadcaster, introducing Rik.
Wow! Thanks so much for posting this!!
I lived in Gatineau for a few months in 2014-15 and the area is so different today. It's so great to see these old lines when they were still in service - especially from the cab window. By the way these are 8mm films, not "video recordings" for all you young'ins.
Wish they had Ratt live footage!
magic power is the studio version with the concert footage overlaid on it.......
I watched this on documentary on a Montreal station and recorded the audio on simulcast radio...thanks for editing out the documentary parts so we can focus on the music and performance.
Napoleon dynamite!
Lovin' this here in Idaho, man!!
i was there. i cant believe this exists. my parents wouldnt let me see triumphs last show at wonderland, but saw this with les than 100 people because it started to rain. amazing
Wow the year we moved to Ottawa we lived on Walkley Rd.
I was only 13 years old from Pontypool and I was hired to clean up the campsite areas and got to enjoy so many great performances by future Legends of rock!
Saw them at Cobo Arena in Detroit for Allied Forces in 1981 and what a great show...
Nice! I always wanted to see this band live but never had the chance.
Thanks for this. I was looking for it for over a decade, as I made a short rock doc about the American Rock Festival. It's available on TH-cam. I knew it was out there, I just couldn't find the right person to fess it up....
The n.1
It’s interesting to track the struggles in Rik’s high register. I’ve always sort of assumed it was somewhere in the early 2000s when it started to get harder for him. I think he managed pretty well here though!
Thanks Dave!
My 18th Birthday party, was down front stage Left for the whole show
Some good footage of the Mac tier sub still a good spot to watch
remaja
No sound???
Very underrated man, they are so much better than ratt, crue, poison etc they blow those girls away, def my top five love you guys hope you come to vegas
