A Hawaii local boy living in Japan😎🤙🏽
I was a radio DJ on the Big Island.
In the early 90s, I was offered a prime-time show on FM Yokohama and moved to Japan. I’m still on radio in Tokyo & Nagoya.
I also do voice work for PGA Masters Golf, Taco Bell Japan and Discovery Channel to name a few.
When I first started the channel, a friend told me that nobody over 50 yrs old makes TH-cam videos..
Two years later, the channel has over 300,000 views and over 2000 subscribers. Thank you for your support🙏🏼

SECRET Sakura🌸 Filmed on DJI Osmo Pocket 3!
The sakura of 2024 were truly amazing! I almost wasn't going to post a video about sakura this year, but after seeing how beautiful the blooms were, I knew I had to share it.
I also wanted to see how my new DJI Osmo Pocket 3 would capture the sakura. I used it to film this entire video (except for the zoo and fireworks scenes). I shot it in automatic mode. I can see how manual would work better on some scenes, but I’m happy with the overall look.
Also, because the Pocket 3 is so small, being able to shoot almost incognito is fantastic.

Yep, they love our culture so much their moving it to Japan. While the true traditions in Hawaii is tied up in red tape 👎😝 Not blaming all for what some self seekers do and say. It's like their saying Japan loves Hawaii more then Hawaiians. Bring back our traditional May Day Programs. Where all Hawaii's children loved dressing up representing Hawaii in the old style way. Killed due to Hawaii's Government red tape

Oh you’ll love the trains here This only applies if you have a seat reservation tho There’s basically no place you cannot go without public transport in Switzerland unless it’s a village of less than 100 people inhabitants… I reckon it’s the same in Germany France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and Netherlands have amazing trains (best is the German ones but nowadays not as clean as they used to be …) The French ones go way faster but not as nice or comfy lol

It's amazing how people just don't bother reading. The first time taking the Shinkansen I already noticed this and you don't need to read Japanese to be able to understand this tbh. The Japanese are so efficient they have a system for everything and they mark everything.
Thanks for the comment. Good point. I ride the Shinkansen for work a lot and I see people going in the wrong door way too often. Hopefully this video will help.

Are the inside areas air conditioned?
Thanks for watching. The spacious building in the center of the zoo (which has a restaurant and shops) is enclosed and air conditioned.
The central area with the gardens/ shops/ cafes in air conditioned, the animal areas are acclimatized to the specific areas they are from.

Good idea to have such diagrams. Here in Britain you can look the diagrams up online but you still can’t decipher it in person easily so you end up having to move out of the way for everyone all the way along the train.

I was there Halloween night. It may have been "canceled" but there was still about a million people there. Like Harajuku at peak time. The main change was they directed traffic so you couldn't cross the scramble crossing any which way. And there were dozens of police with megaphones telling people to keep moving.
I never get tired of taiko. So great.

True, but my home of Hawaii has more car thefts with a population of 1.5 million people. Japan has less cars stolen with a population of 125 million people.

Need help with homelessness and increased organized crime - human trafficking uptick too
It’s heartbreaking to see the homeless problem on the Big Island, and in the rest of Hawai’i too.
Here's a funny story about the stadium. My Auntie Sally Kaleohano used to work there at the stadium and every year when they have concerts she would get me and my cousins to come and work in there and we got to watch the concerts for free and the one year vanilla ice came and had a concert there and my Auntie Sally refused to turn off the lights and he was so mad that she would not turn off the light I don't know why my auntie wouldn't allow the lights to go off but he played 2 or 3 more songs and ended the concert.
i remember having Easter egg hunts at Coconut Island. I got pushed off that tower, i though i was going die that day lol. I miss Hilo
