Kohler doesn't have a patent on that design. Many new faucet sets from many makers come with these. They are available for tub and sink, plastic body or brass, with staiess, chrome, nickle or gold rims and stoppers.

I put one in myself the other day and was delighted to find out that the stopper will easily come out for cleaning - no more clogs, hopefully!

One BIG problem is, you cannot raise the stopper without reaching into whatever is IN the sink to push it. And SOMETIMES, (I don't know if it's gunked up with soap scum or what) but it won't 'pop' up when you push it -- and there is NO way to PRY it up except with a nail file or screwdriver to raise it up. Yeah, it SEEMED really cool... I'm having it replaced with a 'normal' one.

You have to watch if its a older waste and overflow and the trap is old you can blow it out

So many joints. Places for leaks. I opted for a one piece. Much easier install. Less chance for leaks.

I’ve never understood why people feel the need to fill their bathroom sink with water. It’s just a vestige from long ago when faucets couldn’t mix hot and cold.

It DID NOT WORK FOR ME. I tried a full bottle of Dawn dish soap AND hot water and a plunger and my toilet is still clogged. Is my toilet evil and everyone else has a normal toilet?????

I got a rain-ex brand extendable brush with a squeegee on the opposite side of the brush. I barely use the brush, I feel the squeegee does a better job especially on the tonneau cover.

My puppy chewed several window sills. I think I can use your methods for the only slightly damaged ones, but one has an end chewed through. I can I use wood putty to build it back up, or do I need to replace the entire sill?

12/2024 have one of those 2 tablespoon of water toilets that can’t be plunged. My daughter and her kids have moved in temporarily and the 10 year old caught Norovirus somewhere, then the 1 yo, then the 5yo then me and my daughter , next my adult son and last the 12 yo who by the way when I told him yesterday he would be sick soon replied something like “so…ok” He is also the only 1 who threw up on the floor and poo’d himself….AND stopped up the dang on toilet… He’s sleeping comfortably after his shower and I’m up for hours trying to figure out how to unclog this toilet. I done checked his clothes he took off in the washer cause he must have tried flushing the underwear right🤔🤦🏽‍♀️ Then I saw this video after watching most of the ones that show the exact kind I have talking about “unhook it turn it upside down”; “take the back box out and remove this little piece but don’t lose it or it’ll never work again”. Anyways, I pored dawn….came back read the comments… I pored more dawn lmao….came back check the time….went looked at it and no water was gone so I pored more dawn😂😂 Exactly 20 minutes I started with the cleaning brush even going around the rim like he must have been doing some majic or something… I must admit I was losing hope then I took the cleaning brush and went up and down a few times like you would a plunger and ….the unthinkable happened. The toilet flushed! I’ve never been so excited to see sh!t go down in my life! Thank you so much!

Just installed 3 of these today and all 3 leaked between the bottom of the sink and the rubber gasket. Screwed it on as tight as possible and it’s still leaking.

Yeah, I think the problem to keep an eye on is to not just push that clog intact on down the line where it may hit the larger main line and then just present as a successively "cleared clog" but then get hung up on a tree root that has infiltrated the main sewer line. That clog of hair and soap and toothpaste scum then starts building a new clog in the main line. At least with an actual cable drain snake, you have a much vetter chance of breaking up or pulling out the actual clog and thus lessen the odds it will cause a new clog further down the line.
