World Kidney Day (WKD) is a global initiative focused on spreading awareness about the significance of kidney health. This year's theme, "Advancing equitable access to care and optimal medication practice," sheds light on the challenges in achieving optimal kidney care. These challenges include gaps in early diagnosis, limited healthcare coverage, insufficient awareness among healthcare professionals, and hurdles related to medication accessibility and affordability.
This year 2024, commences St. Nicholas hospital’s 25th year of Kidney Transplantation and Dialysis in Nigeria and it is a source of great pride for all of us to have achieved this milestone together, providing hope and life for thousands of patients.
