What year is this EZGO?? I have a '82 that died on our last trip to the dragstrip in 2009. It has a Robins 2 stroke in it and appears different than this one--I think. It's been that long since I've raised the seat. I suspect it is in need of an overhaul, but it may just need seals.
This is a 96 this is a 4 stroke motor,
@@sloraysadventures6988 Thanks, that what I figured. Now get-r-done!!
I don't think I ever saw a small engine with a timing belt. Most are timed with gears. This is an unusual engine. From a golf cart you say? Good work.
This is a robin engine, 295cc they also made a 350 thanks for watching
Good video. I like the camera angle...it shows the work well!
I appreciate the comment, thanks for watching!
@@sloraysadventures6988 I've subscribed!
What's the part number for the kit, and where did you get it?
Order from Amazon just Google the cart year and motor size
I will look back at box to see if number is on it
@@sloraysadventures6988 That's the same Robin motor my EZ GO has.
From personal experience, when talking to a representative over the phone, and they ask for your card/bank info immediately, thats red flag #1. If you are prompted from your bank with a 6-digit code, and the representative ask for that code, HANG THE F### UP! I did, called my bank (and the bank said it was okay?), and called the representative back to proceed. I found out that i avoided $?,000s in bs charges from the representative/website, and got my card frozen. Im not sure if theyre still in business (or just changed their name), but avoid used auto parts, and a representative named mark will and/or saif shariff...
I always redirect the oil thru the cam and drill .040 holes in the base circle of the cam lobes because the valve cover oil holes are in the wrong place to feed the rockers . Beware of your kit check the big end of the rods I have had a few that were machined wrong!
An easy way around that is to use a Walmart money card. You load money on it as you go. I learned the hard way myself.
I got my actual bank account hacked and some prick paid a 600 dollar medical bill collector on my account. Luckily I caught it right away and froze account. I think we need to bring back loss of hand as punishment for theft!
I miss working on EZ Go engines. They're fun, simple, and reliable when done right and maintained.
Info on that little motor please
It's a 295 cc robin engine
I used to be a campground manager and during the winter I would rebuild those engines every winter. They're fun to tinker with and modify. Don't sweat the subscribers too much, it takes time and you'll have spikes and dead spots. Keep up the good work!
I am excited that I found your videos. I was just given a DJ5 and am picking it up this weekend. Your experience rebuilding yours will be my instruction manual. Thank You
It sounds like it runs pretty good and I'm sure you're gonna have a lot of fun working on it. Older Jeep style vehicles are like big model cars, easy to work on and parts are out there.....and if not, there's always flat steel for patches.
Thanks so much it's my first jeep it's been a challenge sourcing parts
@@sloraysadventures6988 I'm sure you already know, but some people might not know, groups and clubs online can be a valuable source for parts and info. People think "oh, it's just a Jeep", but some things don't just cross over from a CJ 5 or 7, like front axle parts and the electrical system and of course the doors. As long as it runs, drives, and stops it can be enjoyed.
@@allhailinternalcombustion I have found that out for sure. Parts guy has been super helpful car quest auto parts aka Advance Auto
