Our dance was choreographed by Ashley
The light up necklaces and magic affects were run by Coco
And Deja was our ROCK during our sewing process (which admittedly ended right before the Masq took place)
We all have some words we;d like to say to all of you who supported us through this journey!
“I couldn’t be more proud of all of us for this performance and winning our first award together is just an added bonus! I’ve always loved the MLP Equestria Girl movies and it was surreal bringing the Dazzlings to life with our own costumes and choreo!! I was trying SOOOOO hard to not break character when the entire crowd starting singing along to the music and you all truly made it so special!! I want to thank the staff and judges as well for making this such a fun experience (shout out to Tien, the stage team, and chibicon drag queens)!!
And of course, I’m so thankful for Coco and Deja for being here with me and helping bring this to life. Coco was the brains behind the necklaces and dance fabrics and Deja was so helpful with costume making. This was my first time choreographing a performance piece and the besties were able to execute it to perfection! I took a lot of inspo from kpop along with my own dance experience over the years to create a Dazzlings worthy girl group choreo. We’ve grown so much as a group doing dance covers to doing our own original performance, and I can’t wait for our next project together 🫶🏻” - Ashley 🩷
“Hi hiiiii, Deja here! I'm so thrilled to have been able to bring this project to life with my besties. All three of us grew up with my little pony, so this was such a meaningful passion project and another childhood dream marked off of our bucket lists! My girl Sonata has always been my goofy little favorite. Not only was this my first award at a convention, but it was my first masquerade performance as well! It was also our first trio project where we made the costumes, choreography, and audio mixing from scratch, so tons of time and effort went into making it come to life. Con crunching with Alexa and Ashley up until the very end was so so worth it. Thank you all for cheering us on!” - Deja 💙

When I was a lad, the majority of my time was spent alone at home in front of my tv
No show gave me greater comfort than My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. I used to pretend to be the dazzlings and dance to Let’s Have A Battle non stop. I wished that I would make friends who would sing and dance along to the songs with me but that kind of connection I wasn’t able to make just yet
I wish I could tell little me that it was going to be okay, that I was going to find Ashley and Deja and we were going to dance our little hearts away together, do our passion projects together, and become best friends in the process.
To everyone who supported us during the Masquerade THANK YOU
we were so glad to give you a dose of love and nostalgia. When we thought of this, we knew it would be a hit! Every act blew me away and the energy in the crowd and amongst the participants was magical. Friendship IS magic, I know that for a fact now :)
