Well, to travel back in time, to these days, watching Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin or - Bon-Scott with AC/DC. LS and AC/DC are two of the bands who lost a lot by the death of their lead singer. Oh, and the shirt Ronnie wear often - "Who the fuck are the rolling stones" :D Legendary... and deserved.

RIP Allen Collins. one of the absolute greatest solos ever. it still holds up today. wow.

This was the real Skynyrd. Not the band that tours today under the name just for a paycheck.

IMHO .... The Band was at its best after Steve Gaines joined. Steve brought out the Excellence in Allen Collins.

What a shame this version of Lynyrd Skynyrd's best song 'Freebird' is disappointing because because over a minute of its ending is missing from this video. Just as it gets ready for the iconic last minute it stops dead.

I miss the original ensemble soooo much. The crash occurred 7 days after my 21st birthday 😢. I had managed to see them live several times before that horrific day in rock history.

Did you know that Gary is playing this slide in standard tuning. With this kind of precise control he should have been a brain surgeon on the side.

Skynyrd was just a 2 guitar band after Ed King left and just got Artimus Pyle on drums. This is pretty much All Allen Collins on lead guitar with Gary on rhythm. This is what impresses me the most.
