When you click on your loco/unit it will bring up a box saying set path or cancel click on set path with either (A/X/Left mouse) and the a + will appear click on the track where you want to set it to and no you can't do multiple stops

For timetable mode, follow the same steps when you have a clear track and no trains are running on it, but for stopping at stations, sadly, you won't be able to do that without setting a marker via the in game map which to do that you open the map and either press a (xbox) or x (ps) or left click (pc) on your train that you spawned then you will have a box come up with set path and then when you click on that you will get a + symbol click at the station you want to stop at (sadly you can't do multi stops) and then click confirm then you can drive the route
