Salamat po. I think downside nga minsan pag masyadong bright yung flashlight kasi ng re-reflect yung bright areas nung trail esp if cool white yung color temp nung LED. Merong sweet spot na goods na goods for trail riding, mejo mas mababa ng konte sa gamit ko sa vid pero more on neutral to warmer LED color..

Thanks. Gotta check that out. I used my FW21 Pro for the downhill sections. The high ran for about 20 seconds before it steps down to about 2000~ lumens. Just enough for me. I wish they made it warmer. Around 5,500K or lower..

@@lamefartThey have a 5000K version which I own, but it's maximum is 7,000 lumens, anyways, give the Zebralight a shot, much more efficient light. I own both and like them both, but for extended run times, the Zebralight is better.

@@eddieo9195 the SC700D run 45 mins to 50% @ 1478 lumens! Damn that's less than 5 mins for FW21 pro as it already started to step down less than 30 seconds from 10000 lm to 1800 lm! Sad part is it's not locally available here in the Philippines and it's over my budget for 1 flashlight. I could buy 5 Convoy S2+ and it would still be cheaper and brighter. Hahaha! I appreciate your suggestion nonetheless. Maybe someday when Zebralight is available here. I bought a Blackshadow Terminator T70 from the states years ago and it wasn't a good experience. Our customs department suck, you know.. It took months. I thought they lost the parcel. The customs fee was almost half the price of the actual unit.

@@lamefart It sucks that you have to deal with shitty customs, it's a crapshoot wether you get what you ordered or not. Between sticky fingered custom officers and custom fees, by the time you receive your item or not, you sometimes forget you even ordered something and when you finally do, you wonder if it was all worth it. What I would try, is find someone in the US who will travel to the Philippines and have them bring it to you, that way you don't have to deal with customs.

@@eddieo9195 Exactly. I was surprised that it arrived and the customs fees. I wasn't expecting to pay that much given that it was sent through regular USPS and not through expedited delivery or through private couriers like DHL or FedEx. I can ask my relatives from NY but not in the near future I guess. They got back to the states a day before the lockdown last year. They're apprehensive to go back here given the current scare of the new variant. They're both near 79, quite old already. Also they don't want to be bothered by the bureaucratic red tape they have to go through should they opt to go here for vacation.

Problema din yung mabilisang ubos ng slots sa fiber box.

I haven't tested it extensively. I have tried and set the max temp to 65°C and that was too hot for me but it seemed that it took longer before it stepped down that's noticeable to the naked eye. Not favorable for my usage as the runtimes were greatly affected. I had to change batteries during 7 to 8 mins of total downhills during my night rides.

@Bogdan Dorobantu That's great! Did you get the SST40 one or the XHP50.2? Yep, mine was 45 stock and I setup mine to 60 for downhill runs. There's an instruction manual and a vid here in TH-cam if you're asking how to do it. You need a good battery to pull that superbright turbo.. It gets so hot so quick though as expected from the size. It doesn't bother me as a bike light but it's literally too hot to handle when it's in your hands.😅 I think 45 is the sweet spot for run times and sustained brightness. I tend to use my Astrolux EC03 more for EDC though..

@@lamefart hi, thx for your answer. I'm waiting the xhp version , just wanted some flood torch having already the Lt17 from acebeam and ft03 mini from astrolux... As for your videos, keep on doing great job, it's quite helpful how you review the torches for me at least.

No worries, glad I'm of help. Nice lights. Maybe I'll grab an SST40 one, it looked like it has a little bit more throw, not necessarily less flood, based off of the LED temp maybe. It's more on the neutral side. Maybe 5K ish. Mine looked like a 6K. Not a fan of 6500 or cooler than that.. Thanks!

This wasn't that much of a hassle though as this only happens rarely where a large animal literally blocked the trail. We get to ride other scenic routes too but this one, it's just an access road to farms around the area so nothing much to see but there's a certain time of the day where the light that passed through the treetops flicker like fireflies. Magical bordering scary at times. Especially if you go night riding and two glowing orbs greet you from afar only to find out those were cow eyes reflecting your bike lights! 😅

I like the little diddy! Im originally from Upstate New York and we'd get the fireflies lighting up all over the place on night rides. Phoenix, not so much night eyes. Flagstaff has all the ponderosa everywhere and great moonlighting. Waiting for the rain to stop in North Charleston to see whats up...

@@bracket0398 last time I saw fireflies in my ride was just this December along a bamboo trail. I would've stopped longer, just stayed for 30 mins. Curfew, you know.. 😅 Man nature should be taken cared of..

@@lamefart Heard mang, humans abuse the shit outta the earth! I try my hardest to not cause too much raucous, but I still have that bad human side too! That is kinda why I like to slow down and enjoy whenever possible. Man, I miss those late night fixed gear rides in Phoenix. I stayed on pavement but did find some cool stuff locals didn't know about!

@@bracket0398 I do what I can to help. Avoidance of using single-use plastic, doing errands using an mtb instead of a car, conservative use of water and electricity, and just reminding everyone not to throw away their garbage everywhere. It's better to put it in your pocket and throw it in the first garbage bin that you'll see. Small things go a long way, you know.. We're not destroying the earth, the earth will stay but we're getting more fucked up if this goes on. I'm going nuts everytime I see road widening projects where they cut hundreds of trees! Like wtf are they gonna do to replace those century-old hardwoods! Here in my locale, mahogany trees were cut to accommodate a wider road instead of just incorporating them in the sidewalks. They could've avoided the death tolls. Billions of board feet of mahogany.. Most of them at least 50 years old. Well, the corruption here is rampant so the politicians and government officials just don't care.

I used a torch specific holder for a Gopro mount. I bought it from China through a local online shop. Here's the ones from Amazon, same holder: www.amazon.com/JooFn-Flashlight-Bicycle-Mounting-Interface/dp/B07H79RV25 For the handlebar I made a makeshift Gopro mount from the holder that came with the actual headlight torch. It's the Sofirn D25S headlamp.

Thanks for the recommendation. Zoom flashlights are great for handlebars because of the flood. The zoom-in throw is just a bonus. 😅 It's not that bright though. 850 lumens doesn't cut it in the trails I frequent. I reckon 1500 lumens would be the minimum.

@@lamefart a friend of mine has 2 lumintop zooms on his electric bike it's really bright more than enough light my friend .

@@STEVEREEVES4444 I can't argue with you. If it's enough for your type of riding then be my guest but that's not enough for me. In the downhills, I ran 4K+ lumens (2.2K + 2K) on my handlebar alone at least 2K lumens on my helmet.. I used an Astrolux EC03 as my helmet light with ~5.7K max on turbo but usually I only ran it @ mid, north of 2K lumens. After the downhills I dialled it down, 2K on the handlebars and 1K on my helmet..

That's tricky. In high mode around 1600~ lumens, with the battery I was using in this vid - LiitoKala 40A, it will maintain high mode for maybe just 1 minute before it stepped down. I programmed the temp to 45°C. After that it would stay in 1000~ lumens maybe for about 5 mins straight. I've yet to consume 1 battery to know for how long. My average ride would go for 1 hr using the FW21 Pro in very low modes before I used it in turbo/high in a 4 min downhill section of the trail.. Sorry I haven't done extensive tests just ballpark figures based on real world usage. Hope I shed a light to your query. Pun unintended.

@@octavianpopescu5254 you're welcome. The FW21 Pro is just good for a sub 5-min downhill section where you want bright lights. There are lots of 3/4 battery lights that would last longer. I sometimes used my Sofirn SP36 for longer rides. I just used a special holder for it.

The kind of mud in this trail is the sticky-as-peanut-butter in the wet 😂 There's something about night riding that brings new experience to your riding even in trails you frequent..
