Hi @josefialho6650 actually the Tohatsu 8hp is similar to Hangkai 12hp in terms of HP. For me, I would go for new one as maintenance wise would be lesser compared to a used one. Furthermore, it is 1998 model so I don’t recommend to buy it. Anyway, it’s just my personal opinion.

@@k-razzybuilt8467 I have made a deal and have the new outboard. It's a 1997 Mercury 15hp 2 stroke that it's has new. Even have the original spark plugs in it! Very good compression, any rust... Works perfectly but just in case I will rebuild the carb, change impeller and gear oil. The last owner pasted and his son sold it to me for 250€ without any idea of outboards! Belum tahu lagi sebab baru 2 kali pakai selepas tukar anode Tohatsu.

I’m not sure whether it is factory or not but I chose the more expensive one.

So far ok tapi I kurang pakai.

A bit softer. But no really big difference.

I would say 20% improvements. Meaning there is slightly lesser sound produced after I installed the sound isolation.

Transom height for this engine is 440mm or 17”. I don’t suggest to use as the propeller will be higher than the boat base.

Hi Nurul. Saya tak pakai kerap tapi pada pandangan saya body kurang sikit kalau mahu main air masih. Kena flush betul-betul setiap kali lepas habis main kat air masin.

Also it’s really meant for emergency purpose (eg. flood and etc) and at the same time I can play with it to familiarize on how to operate the whole thing.

Hi this is a very small engine which usually used at small or light boat. So I don’t recommend to install it with steering. But I do think that it is able to be installed with steering and cable.

All other ok except it gets oxidized fast especially used at saltwater. Watch my other video on how I upgrade the anode.

In fresh water no problem at all seem to they have issues with there paint but only in salt water

Hi Ryan. Thanks for your support. I used it for both saltwater and fresh water. Works well for both. But you need to flush your enshrine every time you finished using it at saltwater.
