I’m sure the English side of the Bristol Channel is affected by sewage, as the English side water companies are run for the benefit of shareholders. The Welsh water treatment is run for the benefit of the Welsh people and not for the greed of foreign investors. Welsh side of the channel fishes much better than the English side, except for the top end of the channel where the Welsh side has declined equally as much as the English side. The higher up the Bristol Channel the worse the fishing gets ☹️ which I think is because the higher up the channel the narrower it gets which concentrates the toxins killing the fishing on both sides of the channel. The further down the channel on the English side a succession of rivers pour pollution into the channel from sewage, leading to poorer fishing.Where on the Welsh side a succession of rivers pour clean water into the channel so the fishing is better. Well done Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 for looking after its rivers and sea 👍 good luck with the cod quest
