It works good. Just getting it off the panels some with allow the light still to come through not as good as summer sun but enough to run a light. 😅

Where do you purchace the snow peeler?

Is the verdict in on whether or not you should clean them? I recently read a study that was done, were they suggested not cleaning them because there’s more risk than gain. The study tested many solar panels at different angles, and they found the loss was fairly minuscule. I’m wondering if you have any thoughts on the risk and reward of doing it?

It would be more helpful to show on a sunny day. Clearly if you got the snow to actually shed the remainder melts off very quickly in the sun. If nothing else the next day will produce at a much higher capacity.

We are retired and pay about $8K in federal taxes on our pensions. When I file I usually get back about $500 leaving $7500 on the table. My solar system PM estimated my ITC at $14,000. So I said NP, we will take a distribution from our IRA and have 22% in federal taxes withheld generating another $8000 in taxes. So now we'd have given Uncle Sam $15,500. So based on those numbers would I get the full ITC as a check?

All good but none of the solar companies tell you that if you're retired and don't have tax liability, you can't take advantage of this credit. I got solar because I wanted but It would've been nice to get about 51% off my $67,000 system.

You did not explain what happen to John's liability or credit of $7544 since now he over paid or credit? Is this mean John gets a refund in a form of a check or direct deposit payment from the IRS? Since John already paid fed taxes of $17,836 and John's fed credit of $10,292?

25 year finance is better than paying upfront. Because you should have no electric bill. Lol. You save money immediately. And the tax credit got us 15,000 credit. And got 6,000 cash deposit to our bank.

Well we did our taxes and I was told it was a rebate and it was 15 grand....I thought we only get a refund if we end up owing the IRS?

You are the first ones that I have heard say this. Many say it’s a refund. Then tell you it’s not when I comes down to you filing your taxes. Then you find out you are getting a refund.
