Try The Cocteau Twins "In The Gold Dust Rush" and you wont need the chemical enhancement. Same for the Chameleons.
Haha..this is the S**T!! 👏👏💖 A Cocteau Twins gig was like stepping into heaven on earth....full on, otherwordly, dreamscape experience ❤❤❤💫🌟
echo, bravo in the sensory deprivation blanket must've been wild
I'm 51, and my intro to this was at 21, with my first love i had just met. The record was handed by a stranger who just smiled with much love in their eyes. We took a tab, and went exactly where you did. I understand❤

I’m almost 71 and watching your emotions has almost brought me to tears because it took me right back to the early 1970s and my experience. An invisible wall just seemed to be kicked down when tripping and it was like listening to music for the first time. I remember shouting out ‘thank you!’. Everything sounded so fresh but at the same time like it was like a warm homecoming almost like the music saying, ‘yeah, welcome. I’ve been waiting for you all this time. This is who I really am.’ I’m struggling to put this into words obviously, but it was a very special time for me and has lived with me to this day. I’m frustrated because on the one hand I’d never want to actively encourage anyone to take drugs, and I’m totally aware of the dangers, but at the same time it seems to be the great divide between those that know. Thanks so much for sharing this vid.
The Cocteau Twins are special to me as a band that left a lasting impression over my 62 years. There are only two others.
Listen to "Blue Bell Knoll."
The odd thing is I used to be very emotional listening to the Cocteau Twins. Especially this album, but also "Blue Bell Knoll." I was in the 3ID in Iraq and listened to "Blue Bell Knoll." When discharged "Heaven or Las Vegas," was making waves. I can't explain it now because I am on two good psych meds that give me a flat affect.
Yes, music can do this. Cocteau Twins doubley so.

What a beautiful and emotional reaction. This album completely changed my life. I was 20 I was compelled to see the HOLV tour. I went by myself to NYC to see them. It was like a spaceship of beauty and color and sound they played on 65 mins, but the best 65 minutes of my life. I got to meet them and know them in 94 and 96. I traveled all over to see them. Liz was beyond lovely and always hugged and spoke with me. Robin called me family and Simon and I are still in touch. He just wrote a book. You're genuine love of this album was inspiring and lovely to witness. Pure ear candy! All the best xo
First time I heard this album I was so high AF I thought it was in normal English 😂 Also don't neglect Blue Bell Knoll, it's arguably as good as HOLV. It has the beauty of Carolyns Fingers and Cico Buff. Edit: Seen a bit more of your stuff. We have quite a similar music taste. You like Loveless and HOLV which are in my top 5 easily. Can highly recommend Spacemen 3 and Spiritualized too
I had this experience back in highschool. For me it happened with Godspeed You Black Emperor and Aphex Twin (and the requisite stimuli for my mind😉) it’s a long journey you’ve embarked on my friend, I’m there too. You’ve seen the vision. The absolute beauty of what can be. It’s such a deeply personal experience it can never be put to words. Here are some things I’ve picked up along the way. 1. Most of your friends are probably not going to understand you and what you begin to speak about to them. That is perfectly natural, and common with us who have had these experiences 2. Meditation is key. This can mean going on long walks by yourself, drawing, thinking, whatever. Spend time with yourself. With your own body. (I really love long walks) 3. Deepen your passions. Keep listening to music. Try to express yourself creatively. Learn stuff you think you might want to know how to do later down the line. Best of luck, you’re never alone in this.
Oh, and have you heard the album “HEY WHAT” by Low? That one’s a real treat
There's something truly beautiful about acid, how it let's you access something beyond words or our everyday comprehension. Except it's always there. That's why it's so powerful and sometimes dangerous, it pulls the veil back on reality.
Heaven Or Las Vegas has been my favorite album since 1990 when I was 18 years-old. I remember thinking then that I'll be listening to this album for the rest of my life. Well, 34 years later that turned out to be true. I'm now 52 year-old and IT IS STILL MY FAVORITE ALBUM OF ALL-TIME. I STILL cry when I listen to it. This is album is part of my heart and my soul. 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
People who listen to the cockteau twins Are special people and gifted
Swans reaction (any album) on Lsd pls
oh we just know this is about to be a BIG collection, buying vinyls is addictive
Can’t go wrong with Cocteau Twins. Now you gotta get all the rest! Spooky was one of the first cassettes I bought when I was a teenager. Fantastic album. As far as The Cure goes, I am very excited about it - but I am a bit underwhelmed by the first two tracks released. I really hope it’s not all mid-tempo stuff. But it’s still The Cure, so it’s already better than most music out there.
You need need NEED react to treasure album and four calendar cafe, both albums my cocteau twins are amazing just like HOLV
This album is a classic they were so far ahead of their time I don't even know if they had a Time
hearing you say "I love music so much" was just the sweetest thing! x
Ok now Four Calendar Cafe
Could you do an acid reaction to death consciousness by have a nice life (Ik it’s kinda basic suggestion just thought it would be interesting)
You sound like Ali G a little bit, great reaction
Bless u . I cried the first time I heard this album .I had to see if anyone else had the same reaction .it is so beautiful xx
"The album for the rest of my life." Dude, 34 years later we're still listening to this and being blown away by the perfection. It's as magical as it was the day I first heard it. It's the album for the rest of MANY of our lives.
This is exactly what happens to me and I've been listening to this album since it first came out when I worked at a music store and I was in college now they have a new album out and I have been waiting forever for it. I am connected to you
echo bravo, heading for the door, stratosphere and inside out are actually transcendent. can't imagine how crazy it would've been listening to them on acid.
Elisabeth Fraser does the vocals on "teardrops" from Massive Attack.
My favourite album ever. Fantastic video
fuck i didnt realize you only have like 330. tbh keep it small homie, focus on your privacy, your health, and your emotions <3 loved your cocteau twins video so much
what are your favorite female artists?
bjork, bjork, bjork.
@@boklostia887 dude you gotta listen to Caroline Polachek and Grimes
I have challenge for you: Listen to the track Antiworld from Nina Hagen. Then, if you dare, listen to the whole album Nunsexmonkrock. In true conscious, I can't recommend that you listen to the whole album straight away, because I can't imagine what images it will conjure. It's the ultimate psychedelic album for me. PS: She doesn't sound evil; it's more like the wrath of angels in ecstasy.
take all the time you need, you have a unique personallity and I assure you that if you keep uploading (even sparingly) you will gain a cult following I can tell by the weird parasocial relationship I feel despite being aware that it's silly or wtv sorry this reads like a homo-erotic novel but I really do believe you are going places w this channel
infact, if your subscriber count remains below 9k (despite uploading atleast occasionally) this time next year I owe you 1k
😭😭 always wanted a little community on yt and now that ive got it it just kinda feels the same.
@@boklostia887 so lets see if a big community ends up feeling any different ^^
When I was in my late teens, I happened to hear Ralph Vaughn-Williams' Tallis Fantasia on the radio. To this day, it's still the most powerful musical experience of my life, and for it not to lose its power, I listen to it only a couple of times a year. In case that's one you haven't heard yet. Let me also just throw in Tangerine Dream as well. Rubycon, Stratosfear and Force Majeure. Cheers, and safe travels.
Boards of Canada,,, good choice. Geogaddi is excellent. I think their ultimate albums was "Music Has The Right To Children." Oh, and next time you're trippin' out go listen to some of my music ;) I've got some ethereal stuff up and electronic. Sadly I can't mess with the LSD anymore.
Welcome my friend. We don't know each other, but now we are spiritually connected. My older brother gave me a bunch of c.d's once, always saw this album title, but never thought anything of it. Then, as i always was then, high, I put it on 1 day. My reaction was pretty much like yours, Yeah I thought I unlocked a secret of some kind. Life changed forever...
young man, if I was next to you at that moment I'd hold your shoulder and tell you "d'you know they used to call Liz 'the voice of god' back in the day?" and I'd watch you melt away this video is the only acceptable reaction to Heaven or Las Vegas <3
That was a genuine thing people said?! Because I saw someone else refer to Liz as that too. If I was on a higher dose and you said that to me yeah I'm not quite sure what would happen
PLEASE listen to ‘songs’ by Adrianne lenker, it’s absolutely beautiful
how did you feel when sideria came on?
I love how the guitars in Cocteau Twin's songs always seem to sparkle with light. I love how Elizabeth Fraser's voice never settles on a single note but glides seamlessly between multiple tones, like it's doing sonic cartwheels and backflips. I'm old enough to remember them playing on MTV. That album always transports me back to my childhood, when life was always so full of joy. The track Heaven and Las Vegas makes my scalp tingle and nearly brings tears to my eyes as well, completely sober. I specifically remember that track playing on MTV when I was staying at my grandparents house for the summer when I was 7 years old, my grandparents are both gone now and I miss them tremendously. Cherry-Coloured Funk was a track my ex-girlfriend put on a mix tape for me back in high school and it reminds me of the first day we met, we skipped all of our classes and spent all day in the quad, talking and listening to music together. I have no idea how none of the teachers there noticed that we were in the quad for 7 hours straight. The video for Heaven in Las Vegas is amazingly beautiful as well. I'm so glad your generation is now discovering them. I still listen to their music all the time, over 30 years later. Their music is like magic and it's absolutely timeless.
Making me have nostalgia for a time period I was never alive in...
Welcome to wonder that is the Cocteaus for the rest of your life “a thing of beauty is a joy forever” your reaction prompted me to comment as I rarely do. I took acid in 1988 with some friends and we listened to Blue Bell Knoll, the lp before this one. We were about your age then and were similarly in awe and have been ever since. Please note acid will show you everything you’re ever going to get from it in 2-3 trips - they are acute intense experiences-not to be overdone that said you can love the Cocteaus without ever tripping- they are wonderful I wish you lots more discoveries, just don’t take acid for granted my friend. All the best dude.
Phenomenal album, then again you cant go wrong with much of their stuff. Keeping in mind the ACID and the Shoegaze genre, I highly recommend the album "Just For A Day" by SLOWDIVE. Others might recommend their more popular album, Souvlaki... but for acid, Just For a Day, all the way! Incredible album, head to toe.
Fifty-fifty clown changed my brain chemistry forever, I wish I could listen for it for the first time again
Title track is otherworldly, but this is a close second for me.
Great reaction to a great album and my favorite band. 😀😃😄😁😊
Listen to Ceres and Calypso in the deep time bro please🙏
One of my favourite shoegaze albums already!
I am 54. I bought this album when it came out, as I have been a Cocteau Twins fan since 1985. I still have my LP of Treasure that I bought at 15. And still have 2 cassettes "Garlands" and "Sunburst and Snowblind" even though I don't know that they would ever play. I just can't part with them❤ as well as a VHS compilation of 4AD bands, Lonley is an Eyesore (a line from Throwing Muses song 'Fish'). I recall driving my car listening over and over to this album. I still have my "This Mortal Coil" LPs, too and her cover of Tim Buckley's "Song to the Siren" still brings me to tears. Thank you!😊❤
Best way to enjoy this album on acid is to just lie down in your bed/couch comfortably, close your eyes and let it take you on a magical journey. With some good speakers of course. I'm getting chills just seeing the visuals/effects you added to the video because I'm getting so many flashbacks. The times I tripped to this album and Wish You Were Here on either shrooms or acid it always felt like I finally figured life out. Magic is synonymous with this experience. And it's an absolute tragedy that these things are illegal. The chances of a having great trip is 99,9% when you listen to this music. Perfection. Life changing. Looks like you had a good time. :) PS: I usually skip On The Run when taking psychedelics. It can just be too much, especially when a track like that comes as early as it does on the tracklist.
I need to to a stronger dose to this album i think at some point. I'll always have more time and more acid.
