suggestion...use a thicker yarn so we can see better, please. what you are doing is casting on stitches while making the i-cord. a previous method i saw...you made an i-cord with the length being the number of stitches you needed to cast on, for example, 132. THEN you went back and picked up 132 stitches along the i-cord. tgen grafted the i-cord ends. very tedious.. this way is MUCH BETTER....

Wow....wow wow...knitting is definitely a numbers things 😢
Wait so it’s just German short rows to do pooling?! That’s amazing! I can’t wait to try!
No this is confusing 😢
Too fast and doesn’t show set up. Thumbs down
Wow… the secret was here! Thank you!
Looking forward to HOKC class
I'm a former math teacher so this really intrigues me. What does the finished result look like and what does this do? Double knitting???
Sorry for not seeing this sooner! This allows you to knit a mobius from the center of the strip out! Take a look at my "Driving on Cloud 9" or other mobius patterns on ravelry or instagram.
Sehr gut erklärt 👍❤
Sehr schön 😍👍
And the bind off?
Wow! 😊
Thank you for sharing this video! I was so confused by the pattern but now I feel confident to tackle the pooling. ❤
THANK YOU! This is the most relevant tutorial for my current project! I’ve been swatching and struggling to find a short row technique in garter stitch that I like, but isn’t too fiddly. Here goes swatch #13! Hopefully lucky #13 will be my last swatch🤞🏼😂
I'm so glad it was helpful! Good luck!
This is brilliant. Thank you! I will be using it for The Dance cowl
Wow this would create beautiful and one of a kind type of texture! I assume this is a hand dyed yarn?
Gracias👏👏👏
Love that method! I'm going to give it a try!
Thank you. It looks like magic. I love to learn new skills.
Thank you!!
Perfectly met my need to understand casting on for a cowl in 52 Weeks of Shawls. Thank you!

Suzanne, I can’t seem to do this right, I’ve tried countless times. When doing yo, K2tog section is it the knit or yo that is first? Is it the opposite for the yo, ssp2tbl section?
I'm sorry it's giving you trouble! The yo comes first in both sections. I hope that helps! If not, my email is in the pattern and I respond better there!
That's a beautiful pattern! Where can I get that pattern? The video was very well done. Thank you
Thanks! Sorry that I didn't see this and respond sooner. Here is a link to the pattern: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/strolling-on-cloud-9
Hello! I have a quick question, do I have to reposition the yarn for each color switch? I'm a continental knitter and my pattern calls for a color switch every single pair of stitches over 46 stitches for multiple rows in the pattern. Would it be possible to just do color switches by picking up the correct color and not having to move the yarn around? The yarn gets awfully twisted when I keep repositioning it per color change but if I have to, I don't mind doing so! Just hoping it won't make my scarf wonky if I don't.
Lovely!
I watched many tutorials on i-cord CO and this is the best one! Thank you so much!!!
Unable to hear audio. Very soft. Need to speak louder.
SO helpful! I love how you use the stitch marker for the provisional CO. I've never seen that before. Thank you!
You make it look so easy. Thanks!
Should I knit flat for two rows if I'm using magic loop? If no, would you make a video for joining in the round with magic loop?
Hi Sandy, Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I would suggest knitting flat for two rows and then joining in the round. This way it is much easier to keep the stitches from getting twisted.
Thanks!
You are welcome!
quick and to the point! thank you!
Glad it helped!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank you for this helpful video!
Glad it was helpful!
I love your patterns, Suzanne, but I wish that you would repeat these stitches a few more times REALLY SLOWLY -- it's hard to catch the pattern after just one view, especially since you use continental...
Thanks for the tip, I will work on that!
O.M.Goodness you are Awesome!
OMG! I am the first view! First comment! Great video!!!
Thank you for this tutorial. I've watched your i-cord co, up the edges, and now I know how to bo in i-cord. Appreciate your taking the time to make this video.
I’m glad it was helpful. Thanks for the comment!
Thank you so much for making this very helpful video.
Thank you indeed!! 43 videos later... lol

OMFG!!!!! I am making a head scarf to shade me from the sun this summer and you helped me make clean and neat cast on and edges so it will look amazing. Thank you so much!
Excellent video, the best I've seen on the continuous i-cord After practicing for 1/2 hour, I can use this technique confidently. Thanks!
Instruction is great . . . but video keeps hanging at 3:11. It took me over an hour to get it to download.
Exactly what I was looking for ... icord in-the-round-bind-off. Thanks! And another thanks for sharing how you adjust the stitches on the circular needle for the Kitchener finishing join.
This was one of the best tutorials I've seen. Very easy & clear directions.
Your red sample looks beautiful! I've not had luck coming up with a satisfactory (looking) i-cord cast on + edging, so thank you for posting this. I think you should have done this with the smaller needles and yarn, though, if you don't mind me saying so: it's actually more difficult to see if the yarn/needles are too big (or too small!) :^) Thanks again for sharing. I will attempt this straight away and hope I got it right :^)
