You should just get someone to make a hard plastic advertising in the empty space of the siding.
Yo bro long time no seeum What is that rebar supposed to be doing? Maybe I missed it
Looking good, Tony & gang!
I would love to see you build different items out of metal studs. Such as bunk beds, tables, garbage can, there most be so many Rad items you could create and market to the public... Just saying
Why did you take the roof off? I thought your new system was to place the roof up first so you can work in rain.
@@schoolnyc that roof was put up by the guys without a system. It just wasn’t at the level it needed to be. It’s pretty damn good now though. They muchachos have come so far I’m so proud of them and now they know they can never unknow!
That was a short video....
@@Natsolllc well… some are longer than others :)
I didn't know you could custom make louvre windows to fit your project. You learn something new every day.
@@TiminNicaragua definitely a custom job! Everyone is just a bit different 😂
Super Rad Trash Can, I truly admire your incredible talent for transforming metal wall studs into beautifully designed products. To me, each piece feels like a work of art.
@@schoolnyc dude… thank you
That is the unit you just built? There is no liquid product you could of used to clean drain? I have never had a clog I could not take care of with a good plunger. I change handle for a broom stick to have better range of power. It could be an all day project...Did you see what clog was?
@@schoolnyc almost man! We are still going at it! Tomorrow we cut the pipe at the septic and clean it out then re do the line in 4” with only one sweeping 22. Just have to be there for every part of the build! Thanks for chiming in 😎
only use max 3 sweeps on septic. Clean out every sweep and add a breather ffs
Shity plan !!
@@splashndirtpowersports7985 so bad man!
Wow! I could almost smell that shit through my screen.. 😂
If you are suggesting that building out of steel versus hardwoods or even treated pine is better, you are absolutely incorrect. There are ways to optimise building with steel and almost no one does. You are in an environment where an electrolyte is constantly in the air. Those Eco- Maderas buildings down the street will have less problems than these structures. Steel has only been used here on the Costa Ballena for a very short time.
@@geneharris4953 yes gene! And thank you for reaching out. My building experience in Central America has been absolutely fantastic and I have had a lot of fun building from all kinds of mediums. I would consider myself a searcher for a better way type of builder. All the wonderful ways to build have brought me to metal, plastic, glass and as little concrete as possible. Building out of wood is a fantastic experience for those like myself who have the luxury of having the time necessary to become a competent, the same goes for aircrete, cob and bamboo…The thing with building in Central America is being able to scale your building output to service enough people while not pricing yourself out of the market. There is nothing worse than a wood framer that builds the cabinets or a furniture builder framing a bamboo house. With rad pad I have been able to teach people with little building experience the process and how to build differently. It is the system and design of a rad pad that makes the galvanized steel the superior choice of building material, not the material that makes the rad pad the superior solution. I don’t think you were asking me a question, it seemed more like a statement that invited a response 😂 I think you are absolutely right in that steel is not better than any other material. However steel is by far the best material to use when using the rad pad building system. Rad= radical change, Pad= landing pad and launch pad 😎 Have a rad night! Big parade in domi tonight!
Your drone operator is getting some nice video footage.
@@TiminNicaragua it blows my mind!
Cheap is expensive! Using cheap paint is very costly.
Painting has been such a big part of rad pad. At first it was almost overlooked… how hard could it be? We first tried car paint with special hydraulic paint sprayers, then came the air compressors then the electric blow dryer paint machines then the brush then the roller now brush, roller and blow dryer combo. We now clean the metal right when we buy it and paint it right away. We paint the welds with an oil base paint special for the welds then we use water base anticorrosive paint because it bonds with the galvanized metal better than the oil based and the clean up is way way way easier 😎 the trick is to do everything really well.
Hey Tony - There is a semi new product, a ventless all in one washer and dryer.. Samsung, GE and other companies manufacture them. I recently bought a GE and am pleased. Perfect application for a Radpad IMHO.
Sounds rad! Where does the condensation from the dryer go?
@@radpadradpad The same drain pipe used for washing water - Yes rad on steriods! Such a perfect fit for you, In my humble Opionion of course.

Nice problem solving! Is there a specific name for that new aluminum C channel? I'd like to find some in the states but not sure the best place to look for it. I've only been to Costa Rica once but would like to go back. If I ever make it back I'll try to stay in a Radpad!
@@jasonreed8930 awesome!!! Try going to a window store and asking them I’m sure you can get on Amazon. Aluminum Chanel… have a rad night 😎
RE: temp roof idea to keep rain out ... think of a pickup truck "Tonneau Cover" ... you need a series of light weight, hard surface (foldable or detachable) panels that can be either folded on top of each other or detached from each other for ease of storage, handling, transportation, and deployment/ mounting ... my guess is that - because of radpad roof surface size - three (folded) panel pieces would the max size-weight combination possible to be handled as a single unit ... another panel assembly option would be to have single panels that could be joined by slipping a (4" - 6") flat rubber strip into channels mounted on either (long) side edges (top & bottom) of the individual panels to create a water tight seal ... again look at how a truck "Tonneau Cover" is built for guidance - particularly the very light weight laminated/ corrugated material on the top and bottom of panels that make for a hard cover on a "Tonneau Cover" ... the seams between adjacent/ joined panels still would have to be sealed (water tight) using insertable rubber strips on pre-installed channels as previously described ... You have enough channel options already to make this happen this would create a temporary, movable roof structure that could be easily disassembled and then re-assembled from radpad to radpad as needed.
@@VirtualJohnDoe super rad ideas! Makes sense thank you!!
What does the price for the C channel work out to. I was also thinking a guy could use some of the pvc baseboard material ripped to 1 inch on both sides. Im really liking this concept.
@@billwlod the Chanel is more cost effective because of its speed and low margin for error and that it eliminates the need for calking which is huge for the end product!
@@billwlod it’s about $1 per foot

Is there any reason you cannot build a Rad Pad on the ground.? I would assume you do it for ventilation. If you were in a cooler, less humid location it may not be necessary.
Great question. The first reason is airflow and out of the flood. The second is access to all electrical and plumbing. But yes it could be put on a slab.
Hello Tony. Don't lose you're sh*t! Pura Vida! So, a new BM Market, nice. I like Olger, the owner, and staff at the original market in Domi. However, a nice BM Market will be a welcome addition to the area. Glad that The River Project is moving along so nicely. Keep it up! Stay calm, brother.

Hi Buddy - All I can say is it looking great. No advise yet. What are you building? A rad Pad motel? When is your Radpad meet up? I will bring the Johnney Walker.
Without a doubt, Radpad is not only making a move to build modules to grow your tourism demand, but also creating jobs for locals and injecting economy into small businesses. It is truly a company that will reach all parts of the world. Thank you Tony for your great work and your transparency for your audience. Remember to follow this page and subscribe and share it with others interested in Radpad.
Hi buddy - Your usung different flooring then the Paradise Radpad? The new wall design I think will is much better. The former wall design of squares was to busy IMHO.

Good thing you catch the problem of the board…..
Hi Tony. Nice catch for the plastic board cut, good work Guy
Good morning, Tony. Have a wonderful day.
I looking at some welders on Amazon and harbor freight. They are very cheap in the US. Too bad they cost so much in Central America
@@TiminNicaragua it is true! But if you lower your standards to what your expectations were a couple of years ago in the north you can find some gems out there. The blue one we have was made in 2023 and it is so much easier to weld with than the green one made in 2022 but by the time I weld for an hour my attitude changes and then it doesn’t matter what I’m welding with it’s all about what I’m welding and why I’m welding 😎 thanks for the note Pura Vida
Hey, Tony!👌
@@josephdennehey4126 gracias 🙏
4 Ideas: (1) Build 2 seat down benches (using the same materials/ welding procedures) on the porch/ terrace platform. Easiest if built facing the river where the back of the bench would be the outside front wall and then one would only have to build the butt part of the bench (which would be the same as a standard shelf) + built arm rests (perhaps with an outdoor proof cushion?). Another option would be to build the benches on either side of the porch/ terrace facing each other but that would require building a full bench with no back already available. (2) Use adjustable metal shelving for inside shelves. You would only have to screw (not weld) multiple horizontal racks where the shelves would then hang. Think of a closet shelving system where the shelves are showing and not inside a closet. This approach means less welding cost, unskilled labor use to attach the racks using self tapping screws, faster assembly, ability for the guests/ user to reposition the height of the shelves according to their needs, easy removal of shelves (if needed) for cleaning, ability to have dedicated person building standard size shelves on the side that are then mounted (hung) on (previously installed) racks. Think of adjustable metal "wire" shelving (substitute the "wire shelves" by your "standard shelves"). (3) Use multiple corner and linear braces (instead of, or in addition to welding) for the - building and installation - of the roof structure. This would provide the ability to build the whole (horizontal) roof structure on the ground, then lift that roof assembly onto the standing pole structure, have it rest on the previously pole mounted braces, and secure it to the poles using screws on the connecting braces and/or weld additional points as needed. Much improved, faster ease of assembly, better distribution of labor, much improved rigidity. (4) If you have to work underneath, use an automotive "crawler" where you can lay on your back as you are moving around looking up at the bottom of the structure. Use of a "crawler would require the pre-placement of a (temporary) flat surface (plywood sheet?) where the "crawler could roll on.
@@VirtualJohnDoe love and appreciate all 4 points!! Thank you. You will most likely see them implemented in the next few episodes!
Tony, those concrete pillars are truly disappointing. Not to mention the waste of rock stones, electric, cement surrounding them. Not to mention, now you have to pay somebody else to fixed it. It leaves much to be desired. A poorly executed job reflects the care with which it is done. It’s great that you are becoming aware of the importance of delivering a project in the best and most beautiful conditions. This will reflect positively on Radpad, and people will recognize that you build a product with love and quality. Congratulations my friend…
@@Natsolllc fret not my friend we will leave nothing not rad!
Wow that's a lot of tools! New level of respect for home builders and contractors. It's a big investment on your part.
The Costa Rican country is undoubtedly one of the Central American regions with the highest quality of life: it has a literacy rate of 97.8% and a poverty rate that does not exceed 22%. But things are taken easy there, relaxed. Many times we come from countries where people live with their phones and watches dictating their lives. Central America is more laid-back. And it can annoy some people. But you have to adapt. It would do us good.
@@Natsolllc the best way to experience Costa Rica is to be still and very present. Life is happening everywhere here! Thanks for all the valuable info have a rad night!
Good morning, Tony. I enjoyed this video! You are a natural interviewer. Hey, why didn't you guys put a balcony on that Rad Pad at the resort!?! Sipping coffee out there at the break of day or an evening cocktail on a balcony would be awesome. I assume cost? Anyway , glad to see that you are doing well and living the Pura Vida. Hey Tony. Without a doubt, Muchacho Gogo is a prototype of yours. It's great that at least you have some help in that regard. I hope you've sorted out the situation of securing the tools. Insecurity is everywhere. We need to stay alert because some come to see what you're building, but others come to see what you leave out to later take it "on loan" but without returning it. It's quite a mental and physical job.
