The law being referred to in the text was the law of circumcision. Jews believed that it was circumcision that justified them. The text was not referring to the Royal Law, The law of liberty, the 10 Commandments. We have all sinned, so if we decide to stop and start keeping the law, it will not save us. Why? because of all the sins we have committed in our past, the penalty still needs to be paid for them.....Rom_6:23 For the wages of sin is death. If we were to pay for it ourselves it would be over for us. So God's kindness, His grace to us, is to have His Son pay the penalty for us. If we acknowledge that we have sinned, accept Christ's sacrifice on our behalf and repent of our sins, (stop sinning) then the blood of Christ cleanses us from all sin and we are justified, made right with God, and can have access to God the Father. So Christ died so that our past sins can be forgiven... not our new ones....Rom_3:25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance ((God had passed over the sins that were previously committed))),.......We needed Christ to die for us because.... Isa_59:2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. Now God will hear us.....Joh_9:31 Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.. Now our debt is paid, Christ tells us....Joh_8:11 She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; (( go and sin no more."))... We are given God's Spirit so that we ca achieve this. So the law must still exist for us to break it. But Christ also knowing that God's grace will be seen by some as permission to break the Law, Christ also prophesied this.....Mat 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven,(( but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.)) Mat 7:22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' Mat 7:23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' .... Jesus did not say "he who keeps My new commandment that you love one another; as I have loved you. He said, " he who does the will of My Father in heaven" ....Therefore It must be God's will and the will of the Son that we keep the law, as those that do not, no matter how they see themselves, will be told, "'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' ... Why does Jesus say I never knew you? Well God is righteous, and so is Jesus, He is just like His Father. The law reflects the Character of God. ..... Psa 119:172 My tongue shall speak of Your word, For all Your commandments are righteousness. If we do not keep them we are not like Him, but like His adversary, who is still deceiving people into breaking God's law without guilt, so they will not repent. No repentance means no forgiveness. In the last Chapter of the last book, God says this.......Rev 22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. Rev 22:15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. Lawbreakers will not be in the New Jerusalem. I hope you will be there.

Ok, not the gift of tongues, but baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues & prophesying. I think the baptism is a private prayer language vs. the gift, which is a public word in tongues to a congregation & needs interpretation. 😊

I am trying to follow along but in question 13 you are reading from Matthew 26: 35-42 and your reading is not what I am finding. It's around the 26th minute of the video

At the end when I speak of a new way, let me clarify. All come to God through faith. Before Christ, they had faith in the coming messiah. And after Christ it’s faith in Jesus’s finished work on the cross. So it’s not really new, just the mystery of Christ is revealed. Blessings

Yeah there's a lot to talk about here first this is an added parable not found in the original Greek manuscripts it's not an original text parable .but I'll say this it's typical of Jesus teaching but not in original text..many versions say added.soooo your commenting on someone's made up story...buttttt I think they had the right idea though Jesus did not follow Jehovah law beacause it's clear stone all prostitutes outside the city court with the testimony of two or more witness ....it does no say ...notttt....to forgive her beacause your not worthy anyway...that would nullify the law in the first place beacause nobody's would ever be worthy ..so this law ...and get this point absolutely makes no sense ...nobody would ever be able to pass this judgement so it's a worthless law ..so did Jesus nullify his own law..that's can't be fulfilled ever ..why make such a law ..you have to come to the conclusion that Jesus can't be Jehovah ..and he was correcting Jehovah's undersite...that's clear so the testing was that indeed..Jesus did not follow Israelite law at it's root...he corrected it...another one..eye for an eye....you mean if Jesus is Jehovah would jesud teach you hit back your enemy???...no I s condemed teaching in new test ...don't return evil for evil .doooo that's ones corrected toooo...Jesus is not Jehovah the god of Moses they killed their enemies ...we'll they're nephilim...we'll what do you think the Romans were and the christians didn't anialate them??Jesus is not Jehovah Jehovah is Jesus adversary Jesus exposed his false lower teaching don't be deceived on this ..j hovah is current god of the world ..Jesus kingdom is not of this world ..and Jesus nor his father are jehovah .but Jehovah likes to be in Jesus shoes if you'll just beleive it ...........better pray people...

From your study notes or perhaps your bibles’ introduction, what interesting information do you find about the book of John? 2. Now to begin our study, let’s see who the “Word” is. Compare John 1:1 with 1:14. Who does the bible say the “Word” is? 3. Verse 1 has a lot to say about the Word. List the things it says about the Word. Is any of this information new to you?
