While the character was more annoying and unlikable, there was a chance to redeem the character and develop her forward in future seasons. Killing her off always felt like a cheap copout to get rid of her due to poor fan reaction. It would have been better to save her return for later.

I mean personally I loved Bela as a character. Plus her lack of trust in men & self preserving behavior stems from her abusive childhood. If given more time she could've learned to get over her shit past or come to terms with it. Just a victim myself, who was very similar to her before some much needed therapy, she was a favorite character for me. It's not like she was a demon or anything evil. She was a damaged girl who did some shit things to get by. Very human.
