GAUNA / Surf Film
'Time is unrealizable''
This line, by Simone de Beauvoir, is real. Reality is almost obsolete nowadays, in the era of phones and likes, but it still strikes with full force when it touches us, may it be through a beautiful sunset, a bird flying over you, or just seeing a genuine moment of happiness near you.
This trip to Fiji was real.
After a big year competing against each other on the world tour and affecting each other's results directly, Yago Dora, Jack Robinson, Ian Gentil, and João Chianca had justified reasons not to go on a trip together right away.
But they did; they saw a good swell going towards Fiji and went there together. Once they were there, no one was thinking about who got the best wave, the best clip...no one even cared about watching the clips at night. It was just about surfing and friendship.
I feel truly lucky to have been invited to film those days, alongside the amazing Dan Scott, and witness this beautiful reminder of why we all do this in the first place. Because of our love for the ocean, which keeps reminding us, it can be reciprocated.
Gauna means Time in Fijian...this elusive thing which we forgot about during our stay.

No presence of rush or pressure between them during those days, only a true sense of friendship and love for surfing, making this one of the most special trips I've been lucky do be a part of. Loïc my friend... thanks for this again! You might remember me, Marco. You were such an inspiration for me with the trailer of Intentio, that it changed my life. From being an engineer, I followed the love for surf and filmmaking, then went to Costa Rica, did many beautiful projects, gained experience, film awards... and then founded an online film school to teach people how to transmit their own way of seeing the world and their own professional projects through their heart. Now I keep living in beautiful places, and I am able to surf! Really, just want to thank you, for your art, sensitivity, and creations.

Simplesmente SENSACIONAL, esse filme de Surf, que não é só sobre surfar, muito mais que isso, de uma leveza e ao mesmo tempo de uma brutalidade (referindo ao altíssimo nível de surf dos moleques), em uma ótica sensivel e impecável, com uma trilha sonora que dispensa comentários, Fiji com ondas sublimes e na melhor vibe possível, realmente o filme te transporta pra lá, são 22 minutos que vc se desconecta de onde está e se transporta para aquele paraíso de tubos perfeitos, aqueles sonhos cilíndricos dos sonhos de qualquer surfista, a dica é a seguinte "Aprecie COM moderação ou melhor SEM moderação nenhuma!!!" Simplesmente aprecie, faça esse favor pra vc mesmo, parabéns Loic pela sua entrega e a todos os envolvidos.
