I am getting one of these soon! The only thing I dislike about it is the sound, I prefer the sound of the Japanese cars namely the 2jz in the supra, I find these notes sound too low/diesely can't really put my finger on it, but is there anyway to get a higher tone on these ? If that makes sense. Lol. And if so, what do you recommend to achieve this.

The reason the exhaust is like that at the back is that the stock exhaust was a very early example of a valved switchable exhaust. There is a switch in the cabin that operates a valve to allows you to have a quiet/cruise mode and a loud/sport mode, depending on which backbox you send the exhaust through. One of the many advanced features the big Mitsi had which later became more common on performance cars. They really were a technical masterclass back in the day.

Please please don’t do this!!! My 2020 sounds waaaaaay better with it all intact.. the only way you will get the gpf car’s to sound the same as pre gpf is a full downpipe back system and a tune. My 2020 still has dsg bangs and the odd proper bang amongst the quieter ones when it’s hot, but I will never put shit fuel in. Allways vpower or sometimes momentum. Don’t waist your cash guy’s! 🤙🏻
