An interesting trip, this semi rural area is something not encountered much in my travels,. When in Guangdong, there are so many people and the cities and towns seem to merge with each other creating a seamless connection of buildings and homes.

The best thing I liked about his hotel were the small rooms because when traveling the room is for sleeping and showering, not to hang out in. Plus the breakfast and party area made it an interesting hotel.

Baoji may not be as exciting as Xi'an but visiting family in Baoji was worth the trip. Then we went to an even smaller city nearby, Long County to visit more family.

This motorized raft ride seemed better than the boat ride or the manual raft. These is so much to do and see in the Guilin/Yanshuo area. There is a bullet train that we took from Guangzhou directly to Guilin.

Hong Kong is an interesting place. Now I just fly in into HKG (Hong Kong airport) and proceed directly into Guangdong. There are many things to see in China so next trip we will explore Yunnan Province, Chongqing or Shanghai.

Has anyone here ever driven a car in SE Asia? In China, I drove on the highways (illegally) a few times, however in the cities, driving becomes much more difficult for me. With pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles, cars and trucks everywhere, driving becomes a challenge.

Most tourists going to China (or overseas) rarely get a chance to see what homes are like. Concrete is the preferred method in China. If you live in a condo/apartment in one of these concrete buildings and there is construction happening, the noise is unbelievably loud.

I have that very model Chickenbacker. What they got totally wrong is they only made it semi-hollow. A real Ric is hollow, so this Chickenbacker will never sound like the real deal even with replacement pickups. You nailed it when you said it feels like a $300 guitar.

I have seen and heard a lot of music in China. This woman, by far, had the most talent of everyone I witnessed. With a wide vocal range and the ability to roll vocal sounds, she really impressed.

Dim sum is a popular food in southern China and is not around the world. Something to experience whether you travel to China or are in another country. Try it sometime.

One thing that amazes me about China is the size of some hotels, they are absolutely HUGE! Some restaurants are unbelievably large as well.
