My new syringe mechanism for remotely sinking cardboard model ships
I came up with a mechanism that allows you to sink cardboard ships. A small hole is made in the bottom of a cardboard ship and sealed with foil. A syringe with a sharp plastic part breaks the foil at the right moment, and water begins to flow into the ship. I use this device for remotely sinking my cardboard and paper ships.

A massive fire broke out on a large cardboard ship. The fire started high up on the bridge of the ocean liner and quickly engulfed the entire ship. There were three massive explosions, the ship's hull was torn open below the waterline, and water poured into the holds. The ship, engulfed in flames, quickly sank into the cold ocean waters.

It was December, 1985, and I worked at the World Trade Center, I had it all, I was 27, making damn near five figures a year (remember this is the '80's, when the dollar could take you a lot further then it can now) and I was invited by my boss to be on a gorgeous passenger liner, 'Oasis of the seas' a privet liner for only a select few. It had everything I've ever wanted, women, two night clubs, gambling, and a hibachi, and if not the fact that all ships had to return to port, and if I could halt time, I would have spent all eternity on that vessel...but if it wasn't for that one mistake, if it wasn't for that hibachi, my life would have been perfect. We planned to be out two weeks, officially for 'business reasons' but in reality a tax write-off, we just had to make it look like we were there for business, my boss was a nautical lover, not one of those rich snobby types either, he loved the old world of sailing ships, and could name them all, cutters, square riggers, schooners, even once worked on a replica wooden ship, Galleon, with rigging in his hands, and could recite so many sea songs, and legends of the differences of mermaids and sirens, never actually knew there was a difference, sea monsters and actual lost cities that weren't Atlantis, at night we just watched the nights sky as he taught me navigation, and though I hate to admit this, I loved that man more then my own father, who was never a 'bad person' and there for me, but my boss...he was something else. Five days out, we partied, made fake papers to make it look like business expenses, a group of people from an up and coming company named 'Enron' helped out with that, at night it was all dancing, sex, and blow....and hibachi....those damn hibachi and that fire bowl of delicious. As we danced the night away with our fried pork and beef, one of the guest decided to do a line of coke over the grill, and of course he got burned, panicked, pushed over the hibachi and then another....the thing was, some preferred coal, others wood, for their hibachi, and that lead to a bucket of cooking oil to be tipped against another, and somehow, I don't know.....or maybe don't remember, how, one of the cooking oil buckets exploded, one chef picked up another bucket, what was all that cooking oil doing on the floor, I had and still don't have, any idea why, but picked it up, hit a corner of one table, and oil leaked out, catching fire and the chef ran for dear life, the Captain tried to stop him, but the scared man, not thinking straight, ran to the engine room trying to get away, without closing the engine room door, he was trapped as the fire found its way to him, and he exploded, along with the ship fuel. People were panicking, "All hands to the lifeboat" one crew member shouted, we got to them, however, a few guest used it for a good time and wrecked it, others had empty bottles of alcohol and another was filled with cocaine, we tried to get them emptied and set, but the fire spread quickly, and to the upper decks, the bridge sent out a S.O.S. to the Coast Guard, then quickly caught on fire killing everyone inside, My boss quickly went into our room and grabbed what he could, I demanded to know what he was doing, and he simply replayed, "Staying warm" and grabbed what blankets he could, and told me to follow him, and I did. He ran to a room, full of survival gear, gave me a life vest, found better blankets and jackets then said, "I know the Captain, he prepares for damn near everything he can think if, an idiot doing coke off a hibachi is something that you just can't anticipate." We quickly put on warmer cloths, and jumped over the side onto a large piece of ice. My boss, "And now....we don't have any choice but to wait." We watched as the sip and all aboard went under, I was horrified, my boss said to me, "And now we'll forever be one of those sea stories" and he was right, and I wish I wasn't as all those stories of survival and 'adventure' dawned on me....they weren't fun. The Coast Guard eventually retrieved us two hours later, found still on that ice sheet. That event effected me my whole life. I would after that event take up survival classed, real intense training, damn near military like, learn navigation and other survival techniques, made my children learn, my boss would die in 92, from freezing to death while trying to climb Everest, and I have never set foot in a hibachi grill ever since. Happy Thanksgiving Cardboard Studios!
Bro dropped his entire character lore 😭🙏
@@Pugsley_elPug You're welcome.
Why do people just drop like their entire life into a comment. Like, it’s not gonna get you any likes. You’re just that one annoying guy who types too much in the comments.
@@priscilla8543 To answer your comment, all of it. (And yes this will be long as it seems that you want a *FULL* explanation). First off, I was born in 1985, so this cannot be my life story, second, even if I wasn't born in 1985, the year is important as that was the year ENRON was founded, otherwise I would have stuck to the original year of '1983' however, the mentioning of 'falsified paper' is a nod to what would later transpire from that company, so I had to change it to 1985. Now as for the rest of your reply. Did you actually think this was a real life event? A quick history check would have disprove all of this, if you'd had bothered to even do a history search, which you shouldn't even bother with as all of that short story was clearly fictional, of which it has apparently gotten me likes, which itself is irrelevant. From a channel named 'Wondering Timmy' to Spanj, to Charles Macro, Mr. Spicy gaming and so many others, including when I had a TH-cam channel, I've always done this, the reason? Practice, in the early days, I was trying to create things that I wanted to publish, stories on the comment section of any channel helped me practice, and sometimes feedback of what works, and doesn't. Now however....I actually am a publish author for a small quotes book of a character that I hope to build up. 'Captain Concussion: quotes and logic of an interdenominational pirate'. It's a start, two pages (pages 7 & 8) are messed up, but that's okay, and it was my fault overall for not catching it sooner, I am trying to setup a merchandise store on Spring and Redbubble, a few hiccups though, but the books available at Dorrance publishing, physical and e-book....I think Kindle? Lastly, "why do people like you" tells me that you've come across others like this, so here's a question for you, after so many long drown out comments, instead of ignoring them, why do you still read them of it annoys you?

The Titanic sank from an iceberg and here it sank from a burning pipe
.....Yeah, got nothing for this one, no overly long story arch, it was a real event, and a tragic one, nope, skip.
The sinking of the H.M.S. Toothsome. Found letters in a bottle. "We were sailing to the Inaccessible island (yes that is a real island name in the Atlantic) told we were to meet another ship, the Captain said little of why, or what purpose. For the most part, we cared not, as long as there was pay for us at the end of the voyage. I was a brewer that had been unemployed for four months before joining this vessel, never been on a ship, never even crossed my mind to go to sea, but going from shop to shop, stall to stall, closer to the docks, when someone tells ya, "need a crew for the inaccessible island, full meals, rum and beer, and all your pockets full of gold" well....starving, no lob, lost your home, and all your pockets full of gold? You don't turn your back, don't ask questions, just sign away. Two months of learning how to be a sailor, position assigned, and waved the port and London farewell, the seas were calm although out the voyage, pleasant, me and the labs did our duties and just spent the days laughing and playing games for the rest of the day, watch was easy, whales followed us for a few days, I had heard of the fears of men caught in storms, large sea beams hitting ships, leaving one stranded in the middle of the ocean, but it were like this, all the time, I would have been a sailor long ago. I sometime smile thinking that, as I am a brewer, know some of rum making, always seemed to have women crowd around me, in youth and now, I would have been elected Captain of any vessel, men the world over would fight tooth and nail to serve with Captain Antony Beck, but the sights of the horizon....if only it was like this all the time."
The sinking of the H.M.S. Toothsome Second letter. "It took bloody long enough, three weeks out and nearing the island, we didn't see another vessel, the Captain said nothing, the officers knew nothing, but as long as we got paid, so we sailed closer. Eventually, from the other side of the island a vessel was seen sailing our way, bells rang out, we were a lightly armed vessel, but enough to face off against any pirates, never felt so unnerved in my life. The Captain came out and took out his spyglass, and smiled, 'No need lads, that the ship we're to meet with' so all arms were down. We came within rage of the ship, didn't see a name, but lines were thrown to us, never saw the crew, and on those lines tied boxes were sent to us, full of gold. The Captain explained that long ago there was volcano on that island, long dead now, and it must have spat up tons of gold and silver the center from the bowels of the Earth leaving the ground littered with massive amounts of gold to be had, the King didn't know it, no one should know it, and if we ever got back to shore, kept tight lipped about it, then he would fulfill his promise with all our pockets full of gold, hundred and more times over, we all cheered and agreed. The ship sent all the gold over, we waded, and it came back laden with more gold, we fill our hold, and began to make ready for England....or at least....that's what we wanted, the Captain....he changed, that other ship, changed... He, the Captain, just smiled and never took notice of the gold, just the crew....and when we had the hold full of gold, making plans on how to smuggle it in, so to keep our word of not mentioning it to others, and soon as everyone was saying, 'homeward bond' he stood there in silence, then told us, "I'm sorry lads, but I did say, 'if' you made it back to land, as I promised ya, 'pockets full of gold' but never said that you'd be making it back' we all stood there confused, then more confused as he cloths began to twitch, and face, the skin, began to move as if warms were under it, the Captain, 'lads....ever wonder why this ship is named 'the Toothsome'? We were in silence as he continued, 'you see....there aren't as many of us as there were back when the Earth was still young, and before the monsters, that some of your kind are now calling 'dinosaurs' so we can't take back what we once had, too few now, so we had to....improvise, if you will, ways to get food, and wouldn't you know it....human fill that need.'
The sinking of the H.M.S Toothsome Third letter. "The Captain's body changed into a horror beyond what I can describe, went on to tell us all of an era long ago, before we and others before mankind walked the earth, when arachnids and insects ruled the world, but the world changed and turned on them, the other ship, its sails I got a good look at, they were not like any other sails I'd ever seen, and figures, shadow like, started to remove them, and like a net cast it down on some of the crew, it was sticky, like spiders web, they were then hauled up to the opposite ships top mast, the figures moved quickly, I don't know what they did but the trapped men screamed in pain, gargled, then silence. The Captain moved about in his twisted form, arms changed into what I can only describe as swords, cutting the crew that got in front of him, then leaped from ours to the other ship, and in the same tone we could somehow still hear him, 'No problems, no arguments, you are indeed the best crew I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, I will give you that lads, but my people, we hunger, the food that we once had is long gone, and what you humans have, your fat, sustains us, and we must eat....but....never let the words escape you that I don't keep my word, you had those meals, you have your gold, don't ya?' One of the last surviving officers demanded to know his name, to which the Captain, 'Oh, I do suppose I would owe you that, however, that, names, is such a human invention, but a good one, no my people never invented such things, we just seem to know who one or the other is.' That officer went to the helm and ordered sails and started to turn the bow around, we did and the other ship didn't move, from the bottom of it ports were open and a slim came from it, the Captain began to talk and again, though further away, kept his calm tone and somehow we all heard it, 'Oh come now lads, did you think we'd make this easy?' The viscus liquid made the sea around think like gelatin, green colored, fish and dolphins became ensnared within it, and as soon as it touched our ship, it seemed to become heavier then before, the bow, the gold was sinking us faster, men panicked and in that, not clear thinking, as some jumped overboard and became just as stuck as the fish and the dolphins. From the depths of that thick green substance, I saw more shadow figures underneath, like those on the other ships mast, and grabbed all the sailors they could carry. Then finally I was with the last of the crew as the stern went top up, one man fell and flawed around the green gel, and as I watched, I saw boards of wood simply stay on top, thinking back, it dawned on me that whatever this was, it seemed to be only sink those that moved, after all, the ship was moving when the gel surrounded it, the other ship stayed still, and remembered that once, when I was still a boy, I watched a spider capture insects in its web, all but one, one that did not move, and the Captain did say something that he was from a time when 'arachnids and insects ruled the world' so I told the others to empty our pockets, and just wait for the end, the others refused and said they would rather die rich men, I wasn't so like minded. The other two I watched as they sank and the shadow figures took them, I didn't move at all when my body reached the gel, I stayed as still as I could, never moving, I stayed there for hours, before sundown the other ship finally sailed away, the green gel slowly dissipated, and hoping that I could make it, swam to the Inaccessible island."
The sinking of the H.M.S. Toothsome Fourth letter. "I was exhausted, taking what advantage I could, every wave that brought me closer to that island, I stopped and let it carry me. It was nearly impossible to find a shore, but did find some old staircases along one side of the island, I managed to get to the bottom of that staircase and took my breath before climbing up. Finally at the top, I collapsed and slept for the whole night. When i awoke, I explored the island, and eventually found what looked like to be houses made of some strange material. Inside each building were fresh preserves of meat and mead and one casket had freshwater. On the sides of each were names of different ships, from so many other nations. I heard movement and hid behind a stack of supply barrels, there were creatures, similar to the Captain, speaking some strange language that I've never heard. They carried with them sacks of gold, the same gold delivered to us, and waiting patiently, I followed them to another areas, a cave, and more creatures, with that green gel over their....I suppose faces, like a bubble of air, I presumed was meant for breathing, they were coming up from the ocean, bringing the ship back to life, I hid and watched as in the distance, the Toothsome rose from the depths again, and watched as sails were lowered and it sailed closer to the island. I could barely see where from my spot, but again that strange gel in the form of bubbles, the cargo hatch was opened and the gel bubbles lifted into the air and popped. They brought more supplies and emptied the vessel of all contents. Then bodies of the crew I was with, all dead and then the creators, from their heads, produced fangs, like spider fangs, and I watched in horror as they drove deep into the bodies and the bodies slowly began to wither and shrink. Then one of the creatures began to twitch and move, and then took the form of the Captain, and in a human voice, one that spoke English, 'Alright, get the rest of the food, feed the others, and make ready my ship for the next load- OH! And continue searching the ocean floor for the rest of that gold, it's just better to have what we already mined, instead of mining for more.' I waited, hoping those left behind would go somewhere else. It took perhaps an hour, but they finally did. I sneaked aboard the Toothsome, and tired to find something, anything, to give me more clarity, but found none, but did later find something useful back on the island, loads of black-powder. I waited, searching further I found paper and quill, ink I had to make, and am writing down my last words, downed a bottle of rum and found sealing wax from what may have once been some captains desk on some other ship, so with this, I will explain, what I've planned, I've managed to switch some gold for black-powder, the creatures didn't even bother to look to see if it was the gold still inside, I watched them load up the Toothsome with some kind of strange packets that held liquid, so I managed to switch some of the cargo being loaded with the preserved meats for myself when he sets sail. I sneaked onto the other ship, also made from the same strange material as the houses, I waited and stayed low, planting small batches of black-powder at each house, I'm going to sneak onto the Toothsome again and see how this Captain manages to get from port to the island by himself, and before reaching the next destination, if not found, will sacrifice myself to make sure no one is ever again is taken on as crew by this....thing."
The sinking of the H.M.S. Toothsome Conclusion. All we know of the H.M.S. Toothsome is as followed; It was registered as a trade vessel, and that is all that is said about it, which is odd that the records do not go further in what kind of trade vessel, or class of ship it was, and due to an unexplained accident exploded off the shores of Dublin, Ireland on October 31, 1757, though reports are varied and contradicting, there are two that stand out, as they each have reports of one survivor. The first report seems to be an investigation of men on a row boat to look for survivors, one found, and though not giving his one of the rowers said all the man would say was not to tell anyone, and "he and his mates could have all their pockets full of gold, plus more if they would help him find a new ship." The second report is of a small sloop that went out to help and only found one survivor, clinging to a provisions casket that he refused to part with, when asked what happened, this report said the survivor told them, "to Hell that I know, all I know is I got my full meals, rum and beer, all of my pockets full of gold-' then it goes on to say that he smiled and placed his hand over the provisions casket, continuing with, 'and a hundred, plus more, times over....as promised.' Unfortunately, there is no more information, the bottle was found three years ago floating along a shoreline of the Isle of man, near Port St. Mary, how long it was floating in the ocean is anyone's guess. But investigations are underway to see if the writer, a Mr. Anthony Beck, which will be near impossible as that name is multiple and there was more then one 'Anthony Beck' who was a brewer in the mid 18th century.
