This was played on Bizhawk. The randomizer itself is done on that emulator as its the only one that Archipelago supports. You have to change the core from Mupen64 to Rice to get the emulation to play at 60fps.

It is fun. Just tinkering with the settings so multiworld can be a more fun experience. And the developers of the randomizer are SUPER helpful. :) I'll have a video of the run highlight up in 2 days. :)

Only Banjo-Tooie works as a multiworld. Banjo-Kazooie is its own separate randomizer. But ya, it's really fun. I also play OoT/MM with the RandoWorld crew. Glad you enjoy my runs, and I hope you can stay tuned for more Banjo-Tooie rando and OoT/MM runs in the future. :)

I agree that Sun's Song on the Nocturne check isn't too cursed... unless the grave check or Frogs Ocarina Game (aka Frogs 2) have a required item. When I got the Light Arrows hint from Ganon telling me to go to Zora's River, my first reaction was... "Oh no, Frogs 2 might have the Light Arrows." In that instance, Sun's Song of ravaged village could have been cursed. The Nocturne and Song of Time checks (as well as Requiem depending on how the songs are randomized) are the worst song checks in the game when it comes to important songs being on them. Song of Storms on SoT was definitely cursed in this case. XD

Thanks! I love OoT randomizer since it's a very approachable game when it comes to figuring out the logic of the seed. Other randomizers can be a little trickier to figure out, but OoT is just so enjoyable no matter what. Glad you enjoyed the video! :)

It's currently in beta as there are some bugs to iron out. The Archipelago Discord is where you can find details for setting up Banjo Tooie as a randomizer. :)

So this is not a regular playthrough of Banjo Tooie. All of the moves you learn from Jamjars, all of the Jiggies, all of the Cheato pages... basically all of the collectibles have been shuffled into different locations. That's what a randomizer does.

Correct. The Multiworld Tournament used a modified version of the Standard Ruleset. The only glitches we were allowed to use were Flame Storage, Ground Jumps, and Broken Stick. Also playing the Treasure Box Shop game without magic was banned as that could potentially lead to an unfair time advantage based on pure RNG.

I haven’t played the randomizer in awhile (somehow misplaced my laptop) but generally I’d do “easy” glitches (basically what I knew how to do and which didn’t require some additional knowledge about wonky stuff) and I’d also avoid glitches that made doing a randomizer pretty irrelevant like ACE to the credits, RBA to just give myself stuff, IM to turn nuts into stuff like light arrows or empty bottles for the same reason, and so on. Haven’t gotten good at stuff like hovering so maybe a short hover to steal epona would be reasonable but no guay hover to the top of spirit temple if I had location randomizers turned on and I didn’t have an easier way to access spirit temple. Basically that meant doing a jump slash with nothing in my hand to burn webs or light torches was fine but I didn’t need to give myself an infinitely long backwards growing deku stick to light a torch in another room. Clipping through acute angles like below KZ was okay, but I didn’t need do some giant bomb hover over KZ because it was both harder and unnecessary. Ocarina items was fine because it’s easy and it makes things like warp songs good without ocarina but makes ocarina still good because just using the ocarina was easier than any of the ocarina item glitches. ISG okay but didn’t need to do a super slide or hookshot jump to shadow temple. The more I learn the more I’ll include before just playing “no logic” for the challenge. Instead of just doing back to back glitches maybe for no logic do everything possible without glitches, do the stuff possible with the easiest to do glitches possible after that. Like maybe ISG to save deku sticks and clipping through a wall to get to a certain location. Maybe ground clip through a locked door or hookshot jump to shadow temple. And only when absolutely necessary then start doing bomb hovers, super slides, HESS (maybe HESS to save time before I have warp songs or epona), and after that if it is determined that the seed is impossible with these sorts of glitches then whichever glitch is least game breaking but will allow progress - fororas wind void warp, RBA Zelda’s lullaby, etc. Only allow SRM, ACE, wrong warp to ganon, etc if those turn out to be the only possible ways to get to the credits. Obviously playing with glitchless logic but allowing just stuff like ground jump, flame storage, and broken stick makes sense. Ground jump easier than some “glitchless” methods to skip part of the basement in deku tree and about equal in difficulty in terms of glitchless jump to skip the sacred meadow maze plus it allows child to get some checks in places usually meant for adult only. Flame storage nice in that one grave and maybe for the torch run in zoras domain but not particularly game breaking by itself. And the broken stick just makes sense because otherwise you need like 8+ sticks for part of the game before getting kokiri sword. And none of these glitches are particularly hard to do so they keep everyone on an even playing field.

That's crazy that I ended up playing Blind Forest that way. Totally "bilnd." lol Sorry for the late reply, but I have started playing Will of the Wisps. Trying to find a day where I can dedicate loads of time to complete it 100%. Definitely enjoying the game. :)
