From Canada. I just contacted my dealer who knew nothing about this ''extended'' warranty so I contacted Mercedes Canada and well ... NO, there is nothing like this in Canada. If you have any information to the contrary, I'd love to hear from you.

Great easy to follow video and extremely valuable comment section. I just called my MB dealer and they said my 2016 glc300 is covered under the 15/150000 extended warranty for this repair. And to be clear my warranty has expired…so the repair is covered regardless of the warranty you originally purchased. I’m extremely thankful I watched this video and read the comments

Ufff… that looks exhausting man! Great Job! I do however have an idea of what you just went through. About 14 years ago, I had to do the same with an Acura TL I had. The dashboard top cracked, bought one new and replaced it myself… I however didn’t have any screws left when I finished…😂. But… I lost one through one of the AC vents… 😂. Good thing that you don’t have to remove the steering column in the Macan (I had to do that in my Acura and it was the most difficult part of the job). In any case, it looks fantastic now. Thanks for sharing your experience and great job!

Releasing the steering wheel airbag on a Porsche Macan requires pushing a lever via 2 access holes on the back of the steering wheel. I couldn’t find any holes in mine, then I realized the full leather interior meant that the holes were covered in leather. So, I poked around with a small screwdriver until I found them.

There is a lot of mixed information in the comments. To be clear, Mercedes issued a 15year/150k mile extended warranty, which ever comes first. The requirement is that your check engine light needs to be on and showing a P052E fault code. It doesn’t matter if you have an extended warranty or not. It’s issued directly from Mercedes. Everyone with the 4 cylinder turbocharged engine found in various models from 2015 to 2020 is covered by this warranty. It doesn’t matter where you bought it from or if you’re the original owner or not. Take it to the dealer and they will repair it free under warranty. Scan the fault code first before you take it in to the dealer. Make sure you are specifically getting a P052E fault code because if it is something else, you will be charged $280 dollars just for the diagnostic. I hope this answers everyone’s questions and helps to clear everything up. Have a nice day.

At what milage do you suggest cleaning or changing the pcv valve. I have a cla 250 2014, 60k miles till now. I do not want to wait untill it is clogged or blocked, i will meither clean or change it. Please advice what milage to do so to prevent this from happening. I changed the serp belt and i had a squeaking noise, i still hear this every once in a while i donno if this pcv valve does this too, pushing the crankshaft seal to touch and make this sound...

This kind of replacement, required to take the entire motor out of the bay and work with the motor free. This cost about 7-8K. A 2016 Macan Turbo 50K. But because Y got an extended warranty. Not the ones that cost $500.00 but 5K. Your mechanic will submit all the necessary changes that your unit needs and a certified porsche insurance tech. either recommend or not the payment. This is usually approved by goods honorable warranties. Now the other side of the story is that Porsche is putting together a "recall" to replace these 9 aluminum screws that can produce a catrastofic oil leak and damage the timing chain. I wasn't going to wait for Porsche, so I went to a certified boutique Porsche shop that only used genuine Porsche parts. It took 2 weeks to complete the job, along with changing brake pads and calipers painting. LRO

My 2015 C300 4Matic gave the same P052E code so I took it to my dealer in New Jersey. Service manager said that Mercedes Benz extended the warranty till 2029 to repair the issue. He said the part is back ordered but I’m on the list.

There are 2 others. It’s an at least 4 bolt fix. Pop the plastic engine cover and you will see them. One on each side. They shear the same way. The passenger side a bit tougher as the PCV valve hose is in the way. Yes the T30 bits love to disappear even if you pop the belly pan you won’t find them.

I’m a benz tech, had no idea these come separate from the whole oil separator, this job pays 3-4 hrs warranty and I get them done in about a hour. Ac compressor doesn’t have to be removed just remove belt and all the bolts besides the bottom mounting screw for compressor then swing it out of the way to get the front bolts on the side of the cylinder case. Use a floor jack or at stand .. remove ds engine mount then engine leg. You can put a block of wood under the engine some where to hold it there if not it won’t sag much. Then after that you can get at the whole assembly. I’m happy to know you can just replace the valve because when we do it we have to replace the valve, intake pipe on the turbo and oil separator all as one which really isn’t necessary. I figure I can offer this cheaper repair that you do to customers on the side(I obviously can’t do this in the dealer unless approved by MB) this would really take me 10minutes

Hello, you bought the wrong part for the GLA 250, the part number is A2700184600 and you can replace it in one piece, it is hard the reach the clamp under the thermostat, but you changed it to so it was easy, replaced mine two weaks ago 😊

I just went to the dealer and they confirmed this part is under a 15 year warranty from Mercedes Benz. So I am covered for 7 years. The light comes on every 18 months, so it might need repaired 4 more times under warranty. Crazy that they can't find a fix that will last.

Mercedes has extended the whole repair for 15 years 150,000 miles. Save yourself the headache.

My Mercedes dealer told me the part is covered by their Mercedes Benz extended warranty for all vehicles having this issue till 2029. The Part is severely back ordered and the service department must diagnose before they order the part, so don’t wait.

just did this today and the fuel hoses, took me 5 hours, hopefully that should be fixed, some bolts were a pain to take out

just bought the part, going to attempt it this weekend
