Tandem axle trailer!

That large of boat never will a single axle trailer for that load.

Good afternoon! This boat can definitely run in the 6"-8" of water range. I can't say I have heard of people trying to run it that much shallower than that, but I suspect it could make it through some really skinny stuff. A lot of skinny ripples are still 1'+ deep. The Free Drifter will run in 5"-6" of water, comfortably. But I have heard some stories of them running through water shallower than that. Shallow water running gets a little hard to advise on, since sometimes this involves some light bottom contact or gravel tickling the hull- oftentimes just a part of jet boating, but sometimes not what newer people are expecting! The Power Drifter is a model made by a couple other manufacturers. I'm not sure how skinny they will run, but I do know they are a totally different driving experience than all the more traditional semi-vee hulls out there.

You are (were) right! There are Excursion trim-level boats out there, but they have not been offered now for a few years. Since this video, some of the boats are no longer available as Weekender's, either. The 2525 and 2725 are now Weekender, only. The 2825 and the 3025 are now Destination, only. This may change back in the future when production catches up and material availability is fully normal.

Hi there! Unfortunately, the 18' Adventurer is not being offered for 2023. The production schedule is full of retail-sold 20-footers, so they do not have it as an orderable boat for the time being. We do have one 20' at the dealership that is available. All setup with a kicker engine and some accessories they seem to be in the $55k-$60k range. Base price on a 20' Stryker X is $51,415. Heavy aluminum boats are more similar to buying real estate than buying cars. If a person had bought a Stryker X when it came out, you could likely sell it for more now than what you paid for it!

Hey, Richard. The boxes are there to satisfy the USCG requirements for foam floatation at the time of sale. The boat cannot be sold by a dealer/manufacturer without them in there. ​@@nelsonknowsboats Thanks for your reply and clarity. I need a boat that I can sit in a chair and steer. I don't want to sit on a box ....or even a chair mounted to the box. The boxes take up too much floor space. What is the next step up that doesn't need the boxes? Thanks again.

@@richardc2803 That makes sense- that's pretty typical for most folks that want this style of boat. In the 18', one solution would be to relocate the boxes to somewhere they are less in the way. They are just fastened in there with a few screws (not welded into their position). The 20' Adventurer does not have the floatation boxes, because the floatation regulations for manufacturers and dealers only apply to boats under 20'.

@@captainsmate5770 They are in the same ballpark! But, they have been a couple thousand less, configured with identical options. If you send a text to my number in the video, or an email, I'll be happy to send some pics of a console in one of these boats!

Prices change a little each year, and generally, there are some savings around the Boat Show each year. Base price on this boat right now (Dec 2021) is very close to $30k- just over or under depending if you want a spare tire. That includes boat/trailer/and 60 HP Mercury Command Thrust Motor!

Hey, Kevin! There is a ton of variability in the pricing on these boats because there are so many custom things you can do with them. Just motor choices can make a $20k dollar difference pretty easily and electronics can do the same. A 2825 Destination is typically in the $175k range. The Weekender package saves you about $10k. I can always quote one out exactly how you would like it setup and then you would know for sure!

Dimensionally, this boat is the same as the Super Vee LT (20' x 72" bottom). The Super Vee Pro compares more directly to the Columbia (21' x 84"). The Adventurer and the Columbia both have the 14 degree Ride Master Vee, so their comparison to the Super Vee LT and Super Vee Pro are pretty consistent: The feedback I get is that the Ride Master Vee will run as shallow (some actually feel shallower) than the shallow water vee on the Super Vees and SVPs. The major difference is how much water they draft. If you spend a lot of time drifting through six inches of water, the Super Vee or SVP will work better. As long as you are ok running through the shallow stuff both directions, the Adventurer or Columbia will perform similarly to the Super Vee or SVP. Once you get out in the rougher, bigger water, the Columbia and Adventurer will shred it much better.

Hey, Austin! The livewell tank is about 25 gal. The base price with the 115 is $39,500. Most boats will have a few upgrades from there on them, but this time of year we have some show discounts to compensate!

Hey, Doc! We are a Kingfisher Offshore dealer. Their dealer that handled the smaller multi-species and river boats in the area recently closed up shop. Thus, the gap in those boats at the show this year. I'm guessing by next year, those smaller boats will be represented in the market again!

Good catch, Chris! It can only take a 115 prop, but it can take a 150 jet (since it is 105 at the jet). It really flies with either one!
