IELTS SPEAKING PART 2 | A CHILD THAT YOU KNOW #ieltsspeaking
Describe a child that you know.
You should say:
• Who this child is and how often you see him or her
• How old this child is
• What he or she is like
And explain what you feel about this child.
One child I know well is my nephew, Tuan. I see Tuan quite frequently, at least a couple of times a week, since he lives nearby and our families are very close-knit.
Tuan is seven years old and is in the second grade. He is a bright and energetic child with a curious mind. His curiosity often leads him to ask countless questions about everything he encounters, from how the toaster works to why the sky is blue. Tuan is also quite imaginative; he loves creating stories and drawing pictures of fantastical worlds filled with dragons and superheroes.
Tuan has a very friendly and outgoing personality. He gets along well with other children and adults alike. One of his standout qualities is his empathy. He is always quick to notice when someone is upset and does his best to cheer them up, whether it’s with a joke, a hug, or by offering to share his toys.
In terms of interests, Tuan is very fond of outdoor activities. He loves playing soccer, riding his bike, and exploring the small park near his house. Indoors, he enjoys building intricate structures with his LEGO sets and playing educational games on his tablet.
I feel a deep affection for Tuan. His enthusiasm for life is contagious and spending time with him is always a joy. Watching him grow and learn is incredibly rewarding. He reminds me of the importance of curiosity and kindness, and his positive energy often lifts my spirits. Tuan’s sense of wonder and his ability to find joy in the simplest things are qualities I admire and cherish.

      I'm inclined to believe it resonates with a commendable band score of 7.5 to 8. However, it's crucial to keep in mind that the final, actual score will be influenced not only by the content but also by the vital components of pronunciation, fluency, and overall delivery.

    Hi, may I ask you something? This question is asking about "a business person you know", not "a business person you know of", so I am wondering if it would be strange not to answer about a businessperson you're personally acquainted with, right?"

    • @MsNganCorner
      @MsNganCorner 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there! You bring up an excellent point. The question does indeed ask about 'a business person you know,' which implies a personal connection. While it's not strange to answer about someone you're personally acquainted with, it's also acceptable to talk about a business person you know of, especially if you can provide valuable insights or information about their professional life, achievements, or impact in the business world. Both types of responses can be insightful and relevant.

    Our vast and mysterious oceans, covering over 70% of the Earth's surface, are a treasure trove of life and biodiversity. In today’s talk, we embark on an exploration of ocean biodiversity, a topic that unveils the intricate and fascinating world beneath the waves. Over the course of this presentation, we will dive deep into the wonders of marine life, the crucial significance of ocean biodiversity, and the profound impact of human activities on the health of our oceans. The inaugural segment sets the stage by introducing the incredible diversity of life found in our oceans. We will explore the multitude of species inhabiting various ocean zones, from vibrant coral reefs teeming with colorful fish to the darkest abysses where bizarre and otherworldly creatures thrive. This section will underscore the astounding beauty and complexity of ocean ecosystems. In this episode, we will delve into the critical role that ocean biodiversity plays in maintaining the health of our planet. We'll discuss how diverse ecosystems are more resilient in the face of environmental challenges, contributing to climate regulation, nutrient cycling, and the production of oxygen. The intricate web of marine life affects the global environment in profound and interconnected ways, influencing weather patterns, carbon sequestration, and even the air we breathe. Certain regions of the oceans are known for their exceptional biodiversity. We will spotlight these marine hotspots, such as the Coral Triangle, the Galápagos Islands, and the Great Barrier Reef. These areas are not only home to extraordinary species but also serve as centers of evolution and potential sources of inspiration for medical and technological breakthroughs. Their unique blend of life is a testament to the awe-inspiring diversity of marine organisms. While oceans are incredibly resilient, they are not invincible. In this segment, we will explore the various threats to ocean biodiversity, including overfishing, habitat destruction, pollution, and climate change. We will examine the profound consequences of these challenges, including the loss of species, disruption of ecosystems, and the far-reaching impacts on human livelihoods and food security. Understanding these threats is crucial for effective conservation efforts. The plight of ocean biodiversity has sparked a range of conservation efforts. We will highlight some of these initiatives, from the establishment of marine protected areas to the development of sustainable fisheries and innovative solutions like coral restoration and ocean cleanup projects. The collective efforts of scientists, conservationists, and policymakers are making a significant difference in protecting and restoring the oceans. Marine mammals, such as whales, dolphins, and seals, capture our imaginations with their remarkable behaviors and adaptations. This episode will showcase the fascinating lives of these creatures, from the migratory journeys of humpback whales to the intelligence and social dynamics of dolphins. We'll delve into the unique adaptations that enable them to thrive in the challenging marine environment, such as echolocation and specialized feeding strategies. Our relationship with the ocean extends beyond its aesthetic beauty and ecological significance. We rely on the oceans for food, livelihoods, and recreation. In this section, we will explore the connections between marine biodiversity and human well-being, including the economic and cultural importance of fisheries and tourism. The health of ocean ecosystems directly impacts coastal communities and global economies, making it vital for sustainable resource management and conservation. While many challenges persist, there are success stories in ocean conservation. We will share inspiring case studies of marine species that have rebounded from the brink of extinction, from the southern sea otter's recovery along the California coast to the remarkable resurgence of the California condor. These stories offer hope and demonstrate the potential for positive change through concerted conservation efforts, legal protections, and public engagement. As we conclude this talk, we turn our gaze toward the future. We'll discuss the critical steps required to ensure the preservation and restoration of ocean biodiversity. From sustainable fishing practices to climate change mitigation and the expansion of marine protected areas, our actions today will shape the destiny of the oceans and all the life they contain. We will also explore the role of emerging technologies, such as underwater drones and genetic monitoring, in advancing our understanding of marine ecosystems and guiding conservation efforts. In wrapping up this exploration of "Ocean Biodiversity," we hope to have conveyed the importance, wonder, and fragility of marine life. The oceans are an intricate tapestry of biodiversity, and our role in protecting them is paramount to the health of our planet and the legacy we leave for future generations. We encourage you to engage with and support conservation initiatives and be stewards of our precious oceans, ensuring their vibrant diversity for generations to come. Thank you for joining us on this deep dive into the world of "Ocean Biodiversity."

    • @MsNganCorner
      @MsNganCorner ปีที่แล้ว

      For IELTS academic writing, it is generally advisable to use a more formal and academic style of language. Idioms are more commonly used in informal or creative writing. Therefore, for IELTS academic writing, it is better to avoid using idioms as they may not be considered appropriate in this context.

    • @MsNganCorner
      @MsNganCorner ปีที่แล้ว

      For IELTS writing task 1, we will follow this structure: (Introduction ➔ Overview ➔ Body 1 ➔ Body 2). There is no need for a conclusion in writing task 1. You can write the overview paragraph at the end of your writing, but following the above structure (as shown in the video) would be preferable.

      @@sahil1618 It's great to hear that you're working hard on improving your writing, reading, and listening skills for the IELTS exam on the 29th! I was a bit surprised when you mentioned you hadn't taken the exam yet, as I thought you had already finished it. Nonetheless, don't worry about that, you still have a couple of days left to prepare, and I'm sure you'll make the most of it.

So my eyes were running with water but I managed to give the exam thanks for ur efforts. I hope I could write u more . But I can't open my eyes properly. But if u can do some stuff for writting as well it would be great vocabulary and synonyms and all . Take care and thanks..I will see u later going towards hospital
