Did you know Cayth is busted? Modern Horizons 3 draft
I had this game as a kid never got close to beating it great run 👍🏿
My favorite ninja gaiden is the third one, but its the japanese famicom version not the american one, just because it simply have password system and having a difficultt tone down, its not as hard as ninja gaiden 3 in america, but it's as hard as ninja gaiden 1 (sorry for my bad english)
Leave it to the Japanese to make the best American football games.
Almost won the super bowl with the raiders, 1 point away from victory, my guy got tackled on the verge of a touchdown, fumbled and the bastard cpu scooped it up and ran like he had a motor on his ass, impossible to catch, literally ran from 1 end to the other...unbelievable
Playing defense in this game was cool. CPU playbooks generally have one or two main formations that will cover 6 or 7 of the 8 plays. If you look at them, it's often the case that a single pivotal defender can stop multiple plays within each formation group. For example, play action rollouts or sprintouts are often VERY vulnerable to the roll side OLB just running straight upfield. What's particularly nice, is that player is also often a very athletic one. So pick the play going away from him, and play that player to shut down the other plays. Anytime your opponent picks a play from that formation, you ought to be able to render it a dead play. The problem is that most teams have two sets of formations. Have a similar plan for the other one, but know that if your opponent picks that one, there's going to be at least one or two play possibilities in that group that you won't be in position for. Which means if you're not playing the CPU, alternate which formation group you're killing. IMHO, pressure is better than coverage. So pick someone in the front seven and ATTACK. Yes, you WILL give up big plays at times, but this game is like Tennis. Offense has the advantage so it's about breaking the other guy's serve. One sack fumble is worth giving up long TDs. When doing pressure, identify how to get to the QB FAST. The fastest way is to cover the shortest distance. The Nost Tackle is the best pass rusher in the game. Any straight drop back pass from center can be sacked so fast by the NT that the QB won't even be under the player's control yet. Play action and shotgun is a different story. I can't remember if it's the gap above the center or below him, but I had it timed out where anytime I read that my opponent's play package included a dropback pass, I could call an outside run to shut it down, and then take the NT and INSTANTLY destroy inside runs and dropback passes. You just get into that A-gap, and instantly dive. By going sideways a step, the center won't engage you, and your angle will sweep through and crush the QB or RB before the play can get going. Takes a little practice...but not that much. The only counter is to just...never include those plays in your playbook, and it cuts out a ton of the best plays. For example, the playbook this guy put together, I would either call the first run, third run, or shotgun pass every play. When I see him in split-back pro-set, I take the NT and only one play out of that formation can beat me...and that's assuming he called the sweep to the opposite side I did. If he comes out in single back, I'm taking the DE. The hole for both the 2nd run and 3rd pass will open right there, and I can slice in to stop either. The shotgun pass .... is harder. If he calls that when I haven't picked it, I'll probably still play NT and pressure him, but he's going to have the opportunity to hit that intermediate dig route all day long and there isn't much I can do about it. But I'm forcing him to throw early enough that my guys are local and there's at least a fair chance they do...something helpful. Analyzing the opponent playbook and formations is CRITICAL to playing defense in this game. The hardest team to play for my style - were the Run n Shoot teams. And you can probably guess why. They typically had two shotgun plays, and two outside toss plays. I could annihilate everything else, but that's four viable plays in a single playbook. I could still always win, but it was often a shootout, not a blowout. Especially the Lions because Barry Sanders on those outside tosses was BRUTAL. Offense of course is super-easy and barely deserves comment. Against human players, picking a playbook that was hard to read was critical. It helps if you know how your opponent plays defense. I've already said the best counter to me is to pick shotguns and outside runs. But other players might not do what I do. Figure out how they're attacking you, and frustrate them. But having alot of plays that look the same is going to be critical against anyone. Design the playbook so that they can't do what I do and stop multiple plays with the same player. Force them to guess against bad odds. I liked running a balanced offense and throwing to receivers I can see. The CPU screws me when I try to throw beyond what I can see. I'd rather be patient and unstoppable. But I've played against people who are UNCANNILY good at getting the computer to let them connect on those deep 80 yard jump balls. And I can't deny it works for them. But I usually beat those players. Sure they scored multiple long sexy bombs, but I broke serve a couple times, and they don't break my serve because I'm not trusting what I can't see. Also those bombs take time, and my pressure style will hit plenty of sacks as a result.
Hard plis
If this game would have been with a draft and the ability to create your own player or team similar to what snk baseball stars did, this game would have been over the top. But i still love it
Very nice improvement!!!
thanks! There was an unofficial best time of 34:20 I had to beat and I happened to get a sub 34 out of it! I was so pumped!
@@nescapeplan9494 Yea that's a great feeling you crushed it, congrats!!!
Looks just like Power Blade and Shatter hand!😎
exactly! A perfect mix of the two
Nice!!! I've been meaning to ask but, does characters change anything or is it just pretty much a different skin?
It's just a skin. You can change the head/chest/legs to a bunch of stuff, but its only aesthetic.
@@nescapeplan9494 Yea I figured thanks for the quick response. Also thanks for commenting on my Ep13 Technodome IL I'm glad you enjoyed watching it.
This is Conta!! Very Cool
even better than Contra!
Are you ever gonna come back to this game? I'm not sure if you've been keeping up but, the game has evolved a whole lot since.
hey. No plans to. I enjoyed my hundreds of hours playing the game though.
@@nescapeplan9494 I see have you been keeping up with speedruns of it at all?
@@4n6 Nope, but I'm curious where it's at now. I'll check it out.
@@nescapeplan9494 So far Raph with out Raph lock on Gnarly is down to sub 56. My goal is 54:54 which would be all current Okay Mode runs that aren't Raph. I would suggest checking out my current IL's on my channel which I have a playlist of.
This game seems pretty damn good!!!
I love this game! I feel like it's even better than Contra!
@@nescapeplan9494 Yea it looks pretty great. I've been hooked on TMNT Shredder's Revenge since it came out but, I've enjoyed watching these videos.
Epic speedrun
I forgot how much I hated beating these games. Good job
Insane run, you're amazing, keep up the awesome work
I was just playing this game on xbox and had no clue what i was doing. Thanks for the playthrough with commentary. I enjoyed every moment of it.
Lawrence Taylor IS THE TERMINATOR!!!! EEK! He will haunt your QB's grandchildren's nightmares! LMAO
I STILL PLAY THIS! Been playing it since my big cousin Marv got it back in the winter of 1991! So many good times... AND THE FUMBLES ON THE FREAKING ONE YARD LINE>>>>> BLEEEAAAARRRH.......UGH!
Tip number 1: STOP BO JACKSON.... THE END LMAO!
I'm looking for a nes game where you're this Kung pao guy and the last boss is a giant eye ball. That's all I can remember
Dennis Byrd was a beast, I wasn't the best at running with them but Al Toon and Terrance Mathis were good receivers
I remember when he got paralyzed during a game. I think he second guy in as many years. Mike Utley was the first.
@jasonwebb5964 I remember watching the Lions game when Mike Utley got paralyzed
Byrd was a beast, for sure. Their defensive backfield is very good, as well. I preferred Rob Moore to Mathis, as a receiver. But Mathis was excellent as a returner. This game had a glitch, where certain players played WAY faster than their ratings said they could, but only on punt returns. For example, someone would have a max speed of 38 (average in this game), but when returning a punt, they would run at a speed of 69-75 range. And not every single return, but many times through a season. Mathis was one of those (Willie Drewery of TB, Kendall Smith of Cincinnati, and Gil Fenerty of NO were some of the others). Running with the Jets was about patience. They had an above-average group; with 3 backs (Blair Thomas, Johnny Hector, and Freeman McNeil) capable of rushing for over 1000yds in the season, if they were the primary ball carrier. All had an average speed of 44-56 and didn't fumble much. Baxter was an excellent FB, as a blocker and occasional runner. They were a grind you down group: won't pop a ton of 25+ yd runs, but would consistently get you 4-8. Their weakness was receiving. If memory serves me right, Thomas and Baxter had terrible reception ratings.
Amazing game. Truly timeless
Nice I think I've seen the frog clip in TAS before I don't remember the freeze jumps though. Definitely an interesting game to speedrun I should probably watch the WR for this game.
it's a fun run! There's a lot of cool tricks to pull off and they're not too difficult to execute. The hardest part for me honestly is the Power Generator level making the tight jumps with the speed boost to skip a lot of sections, which isn't really a "trick".
Pick detroit and use Jerry Ball to go through the center and sack the quarterback like 50 percent of the time. 2. You can change the opponents plays to your liking so you can know what plays they use. 3. When running with the ball go diagonally up and down to slow down the cpu when they are running after you. Just a few tricks I learned
How to interception a ball ?
I try to shedder but it didn't work Dökülmeye çalışıyorum ama işe yaramadı
Bu normal atari oyununda işe yaramıyor bu normal atari oyununa bir mod
I was always Lawrence Taylor, I'd change the opposing plays to run right at him lol
Why does this game get ridiculously difficult after week 6? I got shut out by the fucking cardinals and i use miami. Earlier in the season i was 4-0 but week 6 is the wall. Just predicts every play and no open recievers. Forces run game only.
Wait until you get into the playoffs. That's where the AI gets really broken
Facts..in a postseason..the cpu takes away ur strengths..there dbs stick to wrs like glue..theyll give up some short stuff but the long game is tough..dont let them have a good dl
In your playbook, always have Pro T Flare D in your second pass play slot. If they key on that play and blitz you, the TE is always open, as the LB who is supposed to cover the TE is rushing your QB. If all your receivers are covered, rush your QB.
Ninja Garden, very cool. Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos", AWESOME. Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom, ugh..
Great game, can be tricky thanks for the videos
tips and strategies: 1) pick the raiders 2) pick running play with bo jackson 3) profit
that's boring though, Pick the Colts and win the Super Bowl without hacks or cheats. There's a challenge, picking the Cowboys, Redskins, San Fran, Giants, Bills, Oilers, and maybe Miami/Philly is easy mode.
@@puppethound My best friend and I got so good at the game we'd only play with last-place teams from that year and keep track of the stats in a notebook at the end of the year--we'd use Cleveland, New England, Atlanta, Tampa Bay, Phoenix, and Indianapolis.
The best! also check the Raiders
The fact that the creator of this game. Could say that "Batman" on NES had no influence on this, is IN(fuckin')SANE!!!
Batman was great on NES. Even the Gameboy. I had the gameboy version growing up. Different style but still fun.
Congrats for world record!
thanks! I love this game so much! Always finding more ways to do things quicker!
This damage boost is so similar to a standard super metroid dboost.
Never heard of this before. TY for sharing!
Try it out! There's a free demo of it on Steam! And next month it will be released on all consoles as well! For now just Steam and Epic Games. I love this game!
Great category for completionists.
Power Blade 2 and Solbrain.
I’m hoping to join in on this fun run soon. I’ve played it casually twice and enjoyed every moment!
Good to hear! Looking forward to your runs! I think I saw you joined the Discord recently - there's a ton of detail to help learn the run there! And of course just chat with the other runners. GLHF
The only tip you need to know is, hand the ball to BO Jackson.

@@nescapeplan9494 Does the new version fix some of the RNG stuff?
@@artman40yes! The “pong boss” will be able to be damaged by a grenade - one less score needed. The preserve boss will no longer go into hiding if you are far away when it spawns (when it’s almost dead you can guarantee to kill it next time). I’m excited for it.

Hehehe nice
Brilliant play, wonder the platform, reminds me of an old platformgame called The Blues Brothers
It's a great game! Right now it is only available on Steam. It will later be released on Switch and possibly other platforms.

Power Blade NES Clone ??
Basically. Given a lot of modern touches but still plays like an NES game! If you liked Power Blade, you'll love this!=
I've been doing some speedruns of this, what is the difference between the in-game time that appears on your save and the real time split? is the in-game timer slower or faster?
The in-game timer appears to be slower or calculated differently than is done in the speedrun. Runners should use LiveSplit or similar software to get an accurate gauge of their time. Timer starts on selecting Start Game. Timer ends on losing control of character after the final hit on the final boss. See all the rules and details at the speedrun.com page for the game. www.speedrun.com/Prison_city
Hello there, Shatterhand + Operation: Vice! HAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHHAHAa Nice gameplay, man!⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thanks! It's an awesome game! Check it out!
The middle is typically the best spot. But if you have a fast defenseman lined up somewhere else, that could be an option, too. I've done it (blocked a kick) a few times with guys like John Offerdahl, Mike Singletary, and Rod Woodson.
