Baie geluk! She’s almost as beautiful as your beautiful wife! ☺️
I remember one road trip with beloved family members. We stopped and took photos at the falls. At that time there was no fence.
Cool, I'm from that part of the province (north east) though it's been long since I've lived there. I've heard about the contest you're featuring but have never seen it myself. The carvings are amazing. It's a nice drive there and back at this time of year. ❤
Congrats on the new wheels- happy travels
Thank you!
I'm Canadian born. Grew up on the Prairies but lived most my adult life in BC. It still amazes me this Province. Glad you enjoyed your trip!
Gas hogs but a pretty good car... I would run a OBDII scan tool on it to confirm that mileage.
Geluk Callie
I see many potential road trips in your future. Also, I minor thing but it's not Brown Bros it's actually Brown Brothers the Bros is short for Brother's. 5yr old car with only 48K???? That's amazing, with a tow pkg? Might have been used to haul a camper in it's past life.
Diabetic food.
Garbage.
Did you pass through the Okanagan on your drive? You're right, BC is pretty vast lol
Not as far as I know! But will go through there soon ;-)
@@SouthAfricansinVancouver it's my home, i hope it treats you well 🌲❤
Very interesting! Just another South African making a difference here in BC. Both my mother and I had docs from SA ... (they're everywhere, they're everywhere, the citizens screamed!). My existing Ophthalmologist is also from SA and with one look at my eyes had me in emergency surgery. He saved my sight that day, about a year ago, So my vote for South African Making a Difference goes to him. 👋😎
Awesome Warren! He deserves it ;-)
Why must we fix this country so that you can come back? Stay where you are! You've left.... you exercised the cowards choice. Now continue to exercise that choice and stay away.... South Africans are worling hard to get this country working properly, but not so that you and your ilk can come back and reap the benefits of our hard work
Just stop going on about the country you left because of its badness, start talking about whats happening in so called " first world" countries.
😂sir, live your life...don't come back. focus on your new country, don't waste your time and energy speaking about a place you careless about.
No parking hours are only mon - Friday, it says on the bottom. So yeah bud lol fairly l straight forward
Saturday 7am, no you can't* Edited*
Obviously you never tried to get customer service from telus optic. I spent 3 hours trying to find away to reach telus then spent 2 hours on hold. Hmm whatever happen to customer service. I am understanding why younger generation paying for internet to home and have no tv service other that what they can stream. Eliminates frustration and over $100 per.
Sounds awesome Callie I hope my partner and I can make it there, we've been wanting to reach out to meet you guys for a while now but know you've been pretty busy lately. Hopefully we'll check you there!
I hope so too!

Crime and is killing our country 14:31 inthink the entire Africa is suffering the same
You think wrong.
It wont benefit South Africa if you come back. The government won't sort out anything for people that immigrated, stay there please. Once you go overseas, you always exaggerate crime, as if there are more criminals than ordinary people in South Africa or that crime is littered in the streets and in every corner, every body is in some sort of danger all the time. We are not ducking and diving from knives and bullets here, which is the impression that you are giving. People like you suffer from paranoia and don't realise that your mind is captured and limited to repeated negative thoughts and persistent selfishness from the Afrikaners (not all, but most). Ok thats enough, what I realy wanted to say is that its not as bad here, at least not anymore, crimminals are not operating in the open if they ever did. Some progress is being made, private security has kept crime out in many many places, its very risky for criminals to get away with anything. There is still crime, but not the one you are referring to (being mugged and housebreaking), its more of organised crime targeted on businesses, and even so its very difficult for these guys to execute thsese crimes effectively these days. So in conclusion, we are not leaving fear here in South Africa, white people that remained behind are hardy feeling unsafe than other people in the country. The main issue I would say, is just illegal immigrants, as well as an economy that is not growing at the rate it should. Unemployment is high, but again most people have no training they are looking for labour jobs. In other cases people have qualifications that is no longer relevant to the job market these days. Unemployment will eventually increase notably in all countries in the near future, on a glabal basis, economic activity has reached its peak, not many jobs can be created anymore, the industrialisation objective of the advancement of mordenisation of human kind has been achieved. Where we are now, the world needs to introduce a way for all people to earn without working, a basic salary. Thanks, I just stumbled on your video, but Im sorry you are holding on to a very stereotypical, stagnated opinion about crime in South Africa, and by the way its mostly black South Africans that are more exposed to crime in the townships or in doggy areas, not white South Africans, you can completely avoid it successfully and wont even notice nor witness it. It's about where you stay, time of the day you go to certain places, especially in town at night and security arrangements that you would have to invest on.
A little duct tape and some buffing and it will be like new! Seriously though, glad you are O.K. My niece hit a deer at highway speed in Saskatchewan and destroyed her car and the deer. She broke her nose on the air bag and was pretty shaken up.
Thanks! Yea, it can get pretty bad pretty quickly!
I was worried when I saw your tagline. You were fortunate it hit on the corner and not directly in front of you. I had a similar accident with my Jeep Cherokee requiring just panels ... bumper, grill, hood, and fender ... repair costs: $12K. 😂 I now own a fully loaded Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks Edition and absolutely love it. Great in the snow/ice and great on fuel consumption. I am oh so happy no one was injured! 👋😎
Thanks Warren!
Hey Carel, with an abundance mindset perspective - if you are looking to buy a Tesla as a replacement let me know. With my referral link you can get $1300 off the price of a new Tesla. We are on the Sunshine Coast and bought ours about a month ago. Couldn’t be happier!
Love the idea - worried about the range here in the cold North ;-)
@@SouthAfricansinVancouverwe live a short ferry ride to Vancouver. We are in Gibsons - so the Sunshine Coast in BC - so I get the cold! If you get the long range Tesla (which I have) on the model 3 you get 430km range when charged to 80%. That may go down in winter, but the super charger network is vast and fast to charge. Plus you can always charge at home. Our other car (Hyundai Tucson) was doing like $200 a month in petrol, the Tesla has cost me $18 to charge in the last 30 days. We went to science world on the weekend, the Tesla drove us from the ferry and back on autopilot! I sound like a Tesla sales person, I am not, but it is an amazing car!
Goeie nuus, Callie. Geluk. Jy’s reg!
Enjoy the wokeness. Look at what your children learn at school//univ. Be careful what you say to fellow ZA's and Canadians. And lastly, enjoy your PM that introduced "special" laws for his wife and MIL for their business dealings the pandemic...smells a bit like home if you can read between the lines. Keep safe my Ou and enjoy the dwindeling ZA gatherings over there...ask me.
Good to have you back Callie!
Thanks Sharon!
Crime sucks in SA mate. Alberta here
True - I really hope the new coalition can get it under control.
What do you do for a living?
You say its lot cheaper bcoz you're converting the US$ to the rand ,but for people who are earning the rand ,its expensive
Nope, untrue He says that if lamb chops were $12/kg he would eat them everyday, yet his mom in SA finds them expensive at R160/kg (ie. $9/kg) He also says that the cost of living in lovely home in JHB, is same as living in a basement in Vancouver at 5times the price
Why are you doing this? You're in canada, let us be. Let us rebuild our country. Nobody's interested in why you don't want to come to SA. Stay in Canada. Leave us alone.
Knowledge is power It is empowering us decision makers
Z
Why are you condoning violence, call it out. Say it isn’t acceptable.
Good video Callie, I'll sign up using your links, this is very cool, thanks
Thanks!
Sounds like a great event! Where will the event be held and will it be in conjunction with a larger event? 👋😎 Best wishes.
Thanks Warren! It's going to be fun
We will see you there.
Awesome!
Looks good cant lie
Oh yea!
Off you pop from expat.
Lol.. stay where you are… I’m here now. We don’t need you… 😂
Don’t be jealous We need every good, law abiding and highly skilled SAn to build good and safe communities
Hope you come back Brother. Situation is very bad, we need your skills. BEE is a total mess. The resentment policies of the ANC are slowly dying, not fast enough though. South Africa was not built by a single race a lot of the basic core skills came with the Eoropean settlers more than 400 years ago, and they changed how native Africans were doing things. Pity that some decisions were made that neglected some races, hence the resentment, but I'm a believer that we need all South Africans to come back home. Races are gifted with different intelligences and we need the White race in our country. Some South African black people are aware, but change takes time. The amount of know how in the white community is enormous, allowing Soo many to leave creates a huge gap, it becomes almost impossible to have enough depth to teach at schools, university and run World class businesses. Only few can access the knowledge. I grew to understand that enequality is all about skills not race. It the race with skills that bring progress and race itself is not controlled by humans, it's just how life adaption built us as humans. South Africa will get there. All nations have their past, and it's only with time that we will get the balance to allow genuine progress for all without limiting opportunities based on race. 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🙏🙏🙏
Thank you
Canada is a souless place. If South Africa could get it together it would for me be the no 1 country in the world.
GNU is really working so far, let's give it a year and see how it goes.I concur with you about crime and economy but i believe with part of the white government in charge, things will get better bcos white people govern better and yes im black 😊
You made your choice to leave and i am happy for you. However, now that you have gone you should keep your comments to yourself as you no longer live here. We live here and are trying to make our beautiful country work.
We are healing, slowly but surely.
I disagree Freedom of speech We live to learn
Violence is running wild in the country you live now...
@@elizabethnovak4088Do you live in South Africa?
It sounds like you are grieving South Africa and I can tell you are heartbroken to think you had to leave because of crime. Your heart is in South Africa we can tell, the memories, the people. But we still need to survive, you are right until you have left the country long enough, you won't understand the constant anxiety you have in your day to day life in SA.
The only thing keeping me from moving to Canada is Finance You need to either be well off financially or land a job that pays good . So unfortunately I'm Stuck here .
I personally have been on the carnivore diet for 6 months and it has helped me immensely! I'm just a regular guy, 56 years old and was 273 lbs when I started and am now 214 lbs. I personally am not as strict as some, but more strict than others. I still drink coffee and to the horror of some I use seasonings. I want to enjoy my food! I do however stay within the staples of meat, butter, and eggs. No bread, pasta, fruit, or vegetables. Like you said, everyone is different. You can see my progress on my channel. Carnivore is only one small aspect of my content.
How are you dealing with the crazy woke culture? You kids being indoctrinated with this whole gay/transgender madness in schools and the workplace?
.mmmmhhh this is ready heart breaking given the fact that white people have been advantaged in so many ways...through devide n rule, separate development etc...the psychological effects of the gross acts done to blacks then is beyond undey... Congrats to whites who got permanent residency in other countries but true colours are exposed - hate n lies😮
So you ran away to a communist country and you feel safe ??? Stay there you were not willing to help fix SA...did you vote in the last election probably not it was inconvient for you so stay there and enjoy your long winter and short summers we that are still here will try to fix it but we dont want you back
