Don't worry. Huntsman spiders are so insanely fast. Things can happen, you didn't want to hurt the little one. While it really sucks, sometimes there is nothing you could have done to change the outcome or an idea didn't look as bad before it went sideways. Live and learn.

I have a "Bold" jumping spider, Phidippus audax. She made a nest and the babies are hatching! I originally was going to let them go, since they are from my area...but I talked my husband into letting me keep them, so im keeping like 6, and we are going to sell the rest at an exotic pet expo at the end of the month! I'm excited and nervous. Lol.

I am so sorry that happened. I felt the pain you were going through before you even explained it. As everybody has already said, accidents happen and it's okay for you to feel what you need to in order to move past this and heal. It's very brave and genuine of you to share this mistake regardless of what you may be feeling or thinking and I'm proud of you. Hope you're doing a little better now.

Bless you hun. Don’t beat yourself up. These things unfortunately happen and it’s part of the hobby as with all animal care. You love your spiders and we can see your upset but honestly your a great spider keeper and your care and husbandry is 100%. Keep on doing what you do with your awesome content and chin up xx

Accident's have trust me I've had my fair share of accidents involving my T's but we learn from the mistakes or accidents

It happens. I squished one of my H. antelucana slings last week, got a leg not too long ago too, don't be too hard on yourself, just learn from it.

Not that i have ever tried to rrehouse a huntsman . But i always do my rehousings within a large tub with a lip and have bits of stuff for it to run and hide into . I got that from watching tom morran . So far it's always worked ,anything fast will run and hide then i can catch it easy without trying to be fast to stop it escaping . We all make mistakes that's how we learn and i agree its far better to include it in the video as it will help others to not make the same mistake . So will done for including it . I lost a sling last week by leaving a live red runner nymph in with it . The nymph killed it when it moulted . 😢

Nice video i feel more ready should this ever happen to mine. If i an honest is the pinch grab that would worry me not the bugj juicing . I keep ants so spliting a Mario into five sections or feeding eight ant colonies from one roach is not unusual to me .
